Customers are saying
Customers express satisfaction with the PlayStation 4's impressive graphics, enjoyable controller, and ease of use. Many also praise its performance and find it to be a good value for the price. However, some customers point out the lack of backwards compatibility with previous PlayStation consoles and disappointingly short battery life of the controller. The absence of a bundled camera was also noted as a drawback by some users.

Awesome system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After many months of debating if I wanted a new gaming center, I finally purchased a PS4 to replace my PS3. My PS3 has given me many years of delight with gta4,gta5, and COD black ops II. I just wanted a new system with better graphics. Boy, did the PS4 deliver on that. I had my wife ask while I enjoying a game, what show are you watching? That tells me enough. Now I feel the urge to purchase the soon to be released GTA5 and have many hours of delight.

Amazing media console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product itself is of really high quality. It is durable, includes various media outlets, including things like facebook, netflix, redbox instant, and an interactive feed to see your activity as well as your friends. The only thing I dislike about the ps4 is that it is not backwards compatible. At this point for my tastes there are only a few games that I'm actually interested in playing, so I can't wait to see how the console software expands given time.

Next-Gen Console Is Here!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought both consoles this past November . As Gamer i plan playing both consoles . My PS4 seems to get the most use of both . PS4 games run smoother and at higher resolution . If your geek you know this is a big plus. PS4 has shown its place as the #1 console on the next-gen. Its price is $100 less than the xbone . Also more powerful. Tho its missing some futures like youtube app,mp3 playback or any video file type. Sony has said it will add via an update.

PS4
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son bought this using one of his PS3s as a trade in. There is a noticable improvment in the graphics. He loves it. I like the way it looks in our entertainment center. The only thing i do not like is it is not compatable with my Harmony PS3 adaptor. Right now Logitech doesnt have a date on when there will be an update for the Harmony remotes to be used with the PS4. So for now I have to use the controler to stream anything from Playstation network.

Fantastic gaming device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant to buy this on release day, but got caught up in the hype and did so anyways. Since the purchase, I have been pleasantly surprised. The game quality, even on games developed originally for previous gen consoles, look amazing. The psn plus membership that is now required for online play, is actually a bargain. They have free games available for download and will continue to offer new titles. The only downside I've seen if the lack of ability to plug and play movies/music from external media, or stream from a media server in my home. This was invaluable on my ps3 over the years. That said, there is still hope that these features will be added or opened up in the future - as they weren't all possible at the ps3 release either.

BEST CONSOLE OUT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Other than waiting for some software updates to come through (ie, one that will allow 3D blu-ray playback), which is expected to come in the next few months, that console is perfect. Hardware is amazing, producing excellent graphics and gameplay. And though there are only a handful of games out right now, 2014 looks like it will have more blockbusters than we could handle. To top it off, it "looks" amazing on the shelf, as part of the entertainment center.

Best System for Hardcore gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Playing games on this console is extremely immersive. The graphics are rich. I also purchased the Turtle Beach Px4 wireless Headset. They sound incredible. They are a perfect companion to the PS4. I am waiting for Sony update there Bluetooth Headset compatibility. At the moment you need to plug it into your controller to get the mic to work. Sony said they will fix this in a future update. I do look forward to this fix. It will make the PX4 truly wireless.

Amazing system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an amazing system. I tried for a month to find one until I waited early on a Sunday in January I to get one at best buy. It is a great system with really cool design and the games look amazing. The only draw back is it is not a media player for anything other than streaming apps. You can not play your own Music or videos. Sony has said they are looking into correcting this as they did not realize their customers loved this so much. Great system

Great Next Gen System
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great next gen system. Have this and will be getting a Xbox One in the future but bought this because of the cheaper price. Solid game library at this point, but not great. I don't play a ton so I have not run out of things to do on it. Updates happen in the background. Apps like Hulu and Netflix are available. They will be patching in other features as they go so not everything is there yet. Controller is great as well. Very happy with the purchase.

Great Console!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been surprisingly pleased with my PS4 so far. The visuals are exceptional, the machine is fast, and the spacious hard drive makes downloading new games easy. I love the light bar on the controller and the ability to plug in any set of headphones to instantly have audio and chat. Looking forward to many hours spent exploring new worlds with this console.

I like the PS4!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was between the PS4 and XBOX ONE. I took the plung on the PS4. It fits my primary experience which is gaming. Yes the XB1 has most of the bells and whistles out the box, I don't need that at the moment. Eventually I'll get it in a year or so. One thing that made the PS3 so good was its expansive media support across the board. No MP3 support out the box Sony...really? It needed an update on day one for blu-ray playback and some other funtionalities. My thinking is that Sony wanted to reach out to the core gamers this generation which I believe was a great strategy. One thing about the PS3 was that I believe it was too advanced for its time last generation. Microsoft took the gamer route last gen which is why I believe Sony didn't fare to well. Remember it took Sony a year to release its predecessor after Microsoft. That to me was a huge advantage for the XB360--a year head start. Another thing was that The PS3 had everything it out the box (USBs, hdmi, card readers) which was reason for the big price difference ($499 & $599) perspectively compared to $399 for the XB360. I got the 360 last gen. I waited til the PS3 went down in price and used it as my primary blu-ray player being it was the cheapest at the time(40g fat). I also felt that the games were developed better on the 360 then the PS3. It seemed that only 1st party devs knew how to program for the PS3 as the architecture was a little complex with the advanded Cell processor and easier to dev for the 360. And most ported games were alwful on the PS3(cough...most EA games). Most of my games were on the 360. I just liked the exclusives and somewhat better textures. I like Uncharted and a few others. You also found that most devs where being lazy to develop for the PS3. As I seen Ubisoft have two teams dev for both systems. And you seen the balance and non bias for both consoles. Now I'm going to support Sony because I like the approach this time around. They went back to the basics. It's simpler to dev for now. And with a few updates to the media and 3D support etc will come later. The PS4 has simple but yet advanced and powerful processing, and I believe in it will only get better. I just need the the Playstation camera and I'll be set. Every place is sold out. I should have gotten it when I had the chance :-(. I would have given it a 5 star rating, but I feel a few thing could have been better out the box i.e. the menu bar, lack luster launch tiles. You have to scroll across the whole row to get to the items you want to access. How did they miss that. Overall, I like the PS4 and what it will offer me now and we'll into the future. HAPPY GAMING!!!
