Customers are saying
Customers express satisfaction with the PlayStation 4's impressive graphics, enjoyable controller, and ease of use. Many also praise its performance and find it to be a good value for the price. However, some customers point out the lack of backwards compatibility with previous PlayStation consoles and disappointingly short battery life of the controller. The absence of a bundled camera was also noted as a drawback by some users.

Best system!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the PS4. Great system. Haven't had any problems with it ever. I like the interface a lot better than the Xbox ONE.

Great system. Great controller.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For any casual gamer, enthusiast, or even hardcore gamers, this system is a great all around product. Easily replaced the 500gb HDD for a 1TB HDD. The dualshock 4 controller is also much better than the ds3 (although the rubber in the center of the thumbsticks tend to wear off after a good amount or use) and has a 3.5mm headphone jack that you can plug into which is very handy, and the console itself is quite lighter than the PS3 slim and is roughly around the same size albeit much lower in profile and less bulky. My only gripe is that the console itself doesn't support dual band wifi nor does it support 802.11ac so you're stuck with 802.11n @2.4ghz. If you're a decent ways away from the router I would recommend hard wiring via ethernet. Performance wise the console operates smoothly although there is the occasional slow down when operating the main screen UI but not enough to be a problem. The Sony licensed Power A charging station is also a great pickup and good way to charge and store the controllers. All in all a wonderful piece of hardware which you can find on sale regularly or bundled through various retailers.

Amazing update
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PS4 has a new slick design. Awesome that it comes with 500gb drive...most games nowadays take up a lot of room. The clarity is amazing on an HD TV. You can now password protect your login user. One of the first things you do at setup is to connect to your wifi...so any time you log in the user it automatically connects to your wifi. A 2nd user will have to log in during gameplay and both players can simultaneously earn trophies. Overall, an amazing upgrade from PS3.

Awesome!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PS4 is a great system. I must admit that at first I was having some doubts about buying it and even thought about purchasing the new Xbox. This system has surpassed my expectations. Graphics are great, gameplay is smooth, and the apps are intuitive and easy to use. I would definitely recommend this system to anyone out there who is trying to decide between this system and Xbox1.

Good improvements by Sony
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the beginning I was pretty sure this was nothing special and I could have probably waited another year or so to get the console, but after playing it and using it for a while now I have changed my mind. The games run so much smoother than on the PS3. I think that has to do with them being downloaded to the console. That just makes it easier and faster for the games to load. The graphics are much nicer and the added sharing features plus applications make it worthwhile.

Great next step for Playstation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PS4 overall is a great platform. Sony has greatly improved the Dualshock 4, the old XMB interface, as well as the exterior design. Although it may technically have superior specs than the Xbox One (so I've read), games haven't been developed to take complete advantage of the hardware yet. The major selling point the PS4 has over the Xbox One is that it is $100 cheaper. Playstation Plus is also cheaper than Gold on Xbox and offers free games monthly and also provides access to multiplayer. However it is possible to access Netflix, Hulu, etc without purchasing PS+. The list of launch titles isn't very good but that's not new for any new system. I only bought Killzone and its mediocre. The free games through PS+ were the best I've played so far. Resogun is really fun and has a lot of replayability. Contrast has a touching storyline and a very unique premise - there area few non game-breaking bugs but generally doesn't affect gameplay. There are good games coming down the pipe for the PS4 and PS+ is a superior service so if you're considering getting the PS4 I would highly recommend it.

Its totally worth it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Small compact, and a quiet machine. Boot up is fast and smooth, and the controller feels great on the hands. The touchpad and share function also adds more to your gaming and social experience. Although the DS4 battery life last for about 6 hours, it does recharge easily and quickly when plugged into the PS4 system.

Sony Steps UP their Console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned every version of the Playstation console since the original. The PS4 is a great looking device aesthetically. I like the minimalist look on the front of the machine. You can barely recognize the power and eject buttons on the device. The graphics of the few games I have played are breathtaking. The features that Sony provides on the Dualshock 4 wireless controller are some of the most innovative features I have seen on controllers. It provides a speaker on the Dualshock which games such as Infamous:Second Son uses to perfection. There is a light that changes color from when you are playing or putting the system is standby mode. Lastly there is a touchpad that with certain games add to the overall enjoyment. You cannot even tell if the Playstation is powered on because it runs so quietly. All the other additions such as the home screen and fast downloads of games bought from the PSN network make this the best Playstation to date. I highly recommend this console to any true gamer that is looking for the most immersive gaming experience with STUNNING graphics.

Welcome to the future
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say? I couldn't be happier with my choice of next gen systems. Sure, the pickings are sparse on software for both platforms right now, but the future looks bright for the PS4. So far, Sony is doing everything right this generation. The system is a powerhouse of a console and shows off some of the most photo-real graphics I've ever seen. It's fast as all get out and the redesigned user interface is not only visually attractive, but a lot more intuitive. The tweaked controller design is a real treat, as well. The new analog sticks are concave and fit the fingers better, while the new touch pad has some really interesting possibilities for use in games (especially in-game map navigation). Best of all, I love the headphone jack on the controller. No more stringing wires to the receiver when I want to play after my wife is going to bed! I've personally never like the controller on my X-Box (I freaking hate those offset analog sticks and it's WAY too big for a guy with smaller hands) and am very happy to have a perfected Dualshock controller this time around.

Great start to Next-Gen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the new PS4, it's not only fun to play, but it looks amazing itself. To top it off, it has given me new reason to use my PS Vita, which was sadly collecting dust on my shelf. As it stands, there aren't to many game's out for the system, but it usually comes with the territory of newly launched systems. Another knock against it, is that I can't use my Sony Elite Headset at the moment, they've promised an update in the future, hopefully it's not to long from now.

More beef than the Xbone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's too early for me to announce the champion in the next gen heavyweight console bout. On paper, the PS4 can outperform XboxOne. It will take a few years before game developers will unlock the full potential of either system. I'm looking forward to the virtual reality project Morpheus Sony has planned to work with the PS4. Also I dig PS exclusive titles over Xbox ones, plus I've been a Sony dude since the ol' gray playstation. Finally, I don't like Bill Gates.

Awesome Console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This console is awesome, worth the purchase. The menu system is great everything flows really well. Before the first OS update it was a little rocky and buggy with mere lag when you wanted to switch between applications. (Mainly when going into the PS Store) but that's all been fixed and runs smooth. Exclusive games are a must. Playstation plus goes across all devices like PS4, Vita, and PS3, which very cool if you own all three because with the free games you will basically get more back than you out in. The battery life on the controller is something to be desired, but is decent for a medium duration gaming session, but you'll need more than one if you want to do any marathoning. Overall it's a very great console and I'm excited to see what games are made for it. Beautiful design and very slim, I absolutely love this console.

Quick, powerful, and elegant.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This system is incredibly powerful, and we are only seeing a small part of the potential in the current game catalog. It's well priced, easy to use, and extremely fast at changing between applications and the home screen. The wifi was a little tricky to set up, but once it started working it was fine.

A true next generation console
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My time with the Playstation 4 is an all around amazing experience which will soon improve the more I invest. The PS4 is a very good investment if your looking for that extra mile you need/want in your gaming, without having to go broke. I was able to get the PS4 system, the camera, and extra remote, and a game. Even less then what I would of needed to pay for an XBOX ONE, Controller, and maybe a game (and XBOX LIVE gold. you really need that for XBOX).

Great for any age and gender!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alright so purchased the PS4 and am really loving it; however, it does have it's pros and cons. I am no gamer god or even close, just a regular consumer. This is just my feed back, you may disagree or you may not even have the same issues as I. Cons: Short battery life due to light always being on Consuls will freeze at start if one is quick to select an application. Camera had to be purchased separately or had to be purchased with bundle kit. (Would have preferred to have it included but believe this was a marketing tactics) Not backwards compatible Pros: Graphics, as my boyfriend says "1080p" but to me it's a sharp clear amazing picture which results in an amazing play. BluRay player included Online game play is great. Easy to navigate, awesome network overall Can update system while still being able to access game play. Design of console is slimmer and very nice Control- love the touch pad on the control, the feel of the control very easy to use. Light weight Overall I would recommend this product any day over the xbox one ;D

Slow startup, but a fun next-gen console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first bought my PS4, it took a little bit of time to patch all the games I bought as well as to get everything up and running, but I have been enjoying having it. My only complaint is the life of the controller that comes with it. The cord that is used to charge it is really short, and the battery for the controller leaves much to be desired.

awesome for price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own both the XBOX ONE and PS4, I enjoy both systems almost equally the ps4 is really just for gaming and the graphics are excellent but my favs is the controller (other than the short battery life) but the touch pad is great and sound coming from the controller is definitely unique and awesome!
