The PS4 Pro is a solid choice if you care about PS at all. 4K output isn't super prominent in games yet but I have a feeling by the end of 2017 that will be a different story. The Pro has been great for me so far and I'm excited to get many hours of use in the years to come.

I have the original PS4 and purchased the Pro as a gift. I had a chance to try it out afterwards - I felt it was worth getting especially if you don't have a PlayStation yet! Great graphical improvements especially with 4K, and just nice overall. Recommend it!

The only thing this console lacks is the 4k player

Definitely see the difference from my old ps4 to the pro. Didn't plan on upgrading to the pro but due to the motherboard going out on my old one I decided to upgrade. So far I have no complaints other than the lack of 4k blue-ray. Graphics look great and more detailed now.

Having never had a playstation 4 I was out and bout one day and decided to buy one, having bought it now I understand why playstation is years ahead of xbox. The graphics are just amazing and the system its self is really quiet. Overall best gaming system I've owned.

I loved my PS4 pro, it's a very powerful console. I don't like to compare it with Xbox or judge since I have never had an Xbox. I am very satisfied with my purchase even though it doesn't support 4k discs, but anyway I'm not going to buy expensive 4k movies with $29.99 each.

Amazing graphics when combined with a 4K UHD television. I especially enjoy playing sports games on the Ps4 and currently overall would have to say Ps4 has the most extensive gaming lineup available for whatever floats your boat. My only 2 issues with PlayStation are with the price tag you would think a console that uses blueray discs for its games would also allow you to watch blueray films, which this doesn't and also the many updates necessary for almost every single game is a pain, otherwise great system.

Sony always amaze me with PS. Very fast when loading games,I enjoy watching movies.

Wish it would play PS3 games, too, but I still have my old system so doesn’t matter.

I recently purchased a ps4 pro after my old version of 10+ years was wearing down and not reading many discs that i owned. On the PS4 pro, i love the graphics and increased speed of updating system and games.

Pay little more then the regular one have both totally worth the extra money for it

Original ps4 owner that decided to upgrade here. I was really excited for my pro, and upon receiving it i was not disappointed. The outer hardware itself sports a new shell casing design that's both modern and minimalistic, and is a small but nice departure from previous iterations of the OG PS4. The hard drive latch has been moved to the rear of the console and you no longer have to feel like youre about to tear apart the casing whenever you want to upgrade or swap the internal hdd. Pop an ssd in and you'll be in for a nice ride. Buttons on the console itself were moved a bit and are smaller, ive had trouble finding them in the dark. It comes with a new controller which is sleeker and has a new touchpad light, but all in all nothing too special. Of the pro itself, the new internal specs are pretty impressive and when put to use, whether for stable 60fps, 4k and hdr, or both, it makes the upgrade extremely worth it. (e.g. Rachel and Clank and Tomb Raider look GREAT). In order to access these you have to go to each games settings menu to toggle off compatibility mode and turn on the pro support - whatever that game's features are. My only gripes are the fact that only a handful of such titles are currently supporting this feature since the ps4 pro is so new. 2017 going forward, however, all titles under the platform are expected to require pro support. I would recommend having a 4k TV with HDR to get the most out of the ps4 pro, although you can still get some of its benefits with a 1080p.

I recently switched back over to Sony and PlayStation from the Microsoft and Xbox I traded in my Xbox one s and got the PS4 Pro and couldn't be happier the gameplay and grafics are much better. I'm never switching back staying with PlayStation for the rest of time.

My brother in law had the non-pro (maybe the slim?) version of the ps4, and it always seemed just barely underpowered. This pro version I got for my fiancé is just ludicrously faster. If you can spare the few more dollars, you will not be disappointed!
