I upgrade my PS4 500GB to this PS4 Pro 1TB, I have more space for my games but the principal difference is the gaming performance, my games and graphics run better and it looks more strong, bold and bigger, also has 3 usb connectors. Beautiful design.

You really can't go wrong with the PS4 Pro. The addition of 4k graphical support creates some truly beautiful pictures with the games that support it. Wifi is also stronger and the overall speed of the console is greatly improved. I highly recommend it.

I wasn't going to upgrade to the Pro, but there was a deal that was too good to pass up. The picture quality on the games is better, but not quite as good as what my brother's Xbox One X can do. Still, a solid upgrade and worth it if you own a 4K TV.

Tried out COD: WW2 with my new PS Pro and it looks amazing. Got a 4K monitor to go with it and man there is a difference in graphics from the Original PS4. Definitely worth the buy if you have a 4K tv or monitor. Too bad it’s not a 4K blu ray player.

In regards to whether it’s worth spending more vs a standard ps4, I really feel it will pay off. Everything runs flawlessly on my 4K Roku tv. 4K and pro enhanced games look amazing. Such as battlefield looks stupid real. I have a vita so the PlayStation network is a great companion tool platform. Exclusives are an added bonus and I do believe that if VR doesn’t consume the market in upcoming years, the 4K content in games coming out will make it well worth not only the visuals but the faster processor to handle the larger games.

The ps4 pro isnt so much for the casual gamer, but if you tend to play several hours a week, and want everything to look a little more refined and clear then this is worth the extra $100. Ive had my mine for a year and do not regret my purchase!

If you already own a PS4, going Pro is a waste

As you may have already seen in many reviews about the PS4 Pro, the impressions of existing PS4 owners who jump towards a Pro version are pretty underwhelming. I own a Samsung 40" KU6300. The TV itself already upscales to 4K with HDR (however, I am limited to only 1 HDMI port that has HDR capabilities). My PS4 already looks great on a 4K TV. And most of the games that I like on the PS4 are the ones that run at 60fps. Now, this new Pro approach will have patches to give you the option to play SOME of your games at 1080p and 60fps OR....... 4K at 30fps. And that's the one thing I never understood about Microsoft and Sony. They put graphics BEFORE gameplay. A more fluid frames per second contributes to controls and gameplay more than graphics. Because at the end of the day, your favorite games on the PS4 upscaled via "checkerboard technique" to 4K (despite the hype, there are only a handful of games you can play on the PS4 Pro that are Native 4K) are the same games gameplay-wise. If your TV already upscales to 4K, the PS4 Pro is a very SUBTLE improvement in regards to graphics. But overall, if I had a PS4 controller and did a blind test of a PS4 vs. PS4 Pro test on my 4K TV, I would not be able to tell the difference. Honestly, it felt like I was playing on a PS4 encased in a heavier and bigger plastic body. Lastly, the lack of a 4K Blu Ray Player excluded by the very company that pushed for Blu Ray technology is mind boggling. Yet Microsoft's Xbox One S has a 4K Blu Ray Player. Mind boggling.

This is a great gaming console that can double as entertainment via streaming services such as movies and music, as well as gaming. Fairly simple to use. Best used with WiFi or internet connection to experience the systems fullest capabilities.

I originally bought this to play Persona 5 Royal, but quickly expanded my library. I even bought a VR headset to go with it. Everything runs smoothly, even with the modestly intensive games. The library of games available is extensive with plenty of platform exclusives. The only problem I've had so far is it gets hot sometimes, but I have a feeling this is my fault because of where I have it. As long as you put it in a well ventilated space, you'll be fine.

Games run a lot smoother and loads a lot faster. The 4k is a huge plus as I use it for Netflix after a good gaming session. Games that can support 4k is amazing too. Strongly recommend if you can afford it or trade in for one! Must have!

What else can I say, that already hasn't been said? The PlayStation 4 is my preferred system, this generation, and the PRO upgrade makes it better. If you're trying to choose a video game system, with this one you won't be disappointed.

I had the day one PS4, and it just started to go bad. The HDMI port just died on me. I figured why not upgrade I have a chance to get something better. I bit the bullet and boom the new PS4 Pro now working with my 4k television. I see the difference overall between all of my games I own. I was shocked on how many games work better with the Pro. I am glad I kind of waited for this upgrade since there is more support for some of the older games. Overall I am happy with my purchase and not to mention the extra horse power under the hood of this baby.

I'm sure this would have been great playing in 4K, but it would not work. I would get kicked and the system would essentially shut down in the middle of almost every game. I had to return it and swap it out for a regular PS4 and have been happy ever since. The picture is still fantastic and would have only been worth getting the Pro if it was a 4K dvd player as well.

First I want to explain why I bought this, then I'll go into why I love it and have had zero regrets since. I do not own a 4k tv and my original PS4 was on its last legs. I used my original PS4 pretty heavily since it was released several years ago and finally it started to have issues. It would start to freeze while playing or if I walked away for a few minutes, sleep mode didn't work correctly, and it was progressively getting louder the more I used it. So I finally decided to retire the OG PS4 and upgrade when the Pro was released. Things I like about the Pro: - Physical buttons for eject and power - Ps4 pro enhanced graphics (newer games/4k support) - Boost mode (play older PS4 games with better graphics and/or frame rates) - Better processing & Ram (faster loading, snappier) - More stable wireless connection - Bigger HDD + External HDD support - HDR support - Toggle between enhanced gfx or better frame rate (single player vs multi player) Things I don't like about the Pro: - No UHD drive (can't play UHD DVD's) That's literally it. This console is exactly what I wanted and is totally worth the upgrade. Highly suggest you play some of the more pretty games on it so you can really appreciate what the console can do. Examples: Horizon zero Dawn, uncharted 4, The last of Us

Having a 4k..i am thankful for this upgrade if it were not available my TV would be useless. That said it's quite, it plays beautiful games and is quick. Helps boost older games although the only knock here is lack of 4k Blu ray drive

It is amazing at how lifelike the games are when playing on The HDR mode on a HDR tv. Highly recommended only if you have a 4K HDR TV......Otheriwse if you only have a 1080p non 4K tv it won’t make a difference in playing games.

Clearly, you buy a PS4 for games (which are incredible). But the streaming in 4K that comes with the PS4 Pro is such a huge plus. I've recently bought a 4K television and I can no longer watch anything without streaming off my PS4
