It does play games at "dynamic" 4k, meaning you may get closer to it, or checkerboarded 4k or 1440p at times. For the price, its a great machine. I got it mainly for the exclusives that Sony seems to always pump out (Uncharted, god of war, Horizon zero down etc) and they look awesome on my 4k TV. For real 4K multiplat games I got my PC (I don't care about getting the upcoming xbox one x as most of Microsoft games are also in the PC). Only gripe is Sony should have included a 4k UHD bluray drive, thats it.

I was visiting Alpharetta, Ga for a gaming convention when the threat of snow storm was going to shut down the entire city. Fearing being stuck in my hotel room for 3 days I decided to finally buy a PS4. We ventured out to the local Best Buy one of the only stores still open. I had missed out on the good deals they had on PS4 slims around the holidays and figured that if i was going to pay full price I might as well get the best they had and decided to purchase the PS4 pro When we first got over tot he games section we were greated by Omar he helped me figure out what was the best purchasing option for me ( I signed up for a Best Buy Credit Card that night) and discussed the specs on the Pro with me. He was demoing the VR that night, so I tried out the Rigs game and had a blast with that. While my friend was demoing another VR game. Omar took me over to sign up for the credit card. Another associate helped me with that and she was super friendly as well. Turns out Omar didnt even work there he worked for Sony showing demos of the Playstation VR The Pro is great, very quiet machine, runs the games super wll, great graphic. I havent given up on my Xbox one but i am very happy to finally have joined the Playstation family

The PS4 Pro is a great system. It is the elite version of the PS4 with slightly beefed up specs. Mainly the 2x faster gpu is the main star of the show here. It also has an extra GB of ddr3 ram which is used for suspended apps like Netflix to run in the background which allows the system to focus instead on game performance. Games loaded from the hdd also seem to see a boost in load times. An overclocked cpu also helps in games as long as the game is patched to utilize this extra boost. Overall memory bandwidth is also increased. Games patched to use the new hardware and have 4k rendering either through checkerboard rendering or it being native 4k are absolutely stunning. I have a Samsung 4k TV and games look fabulous on it. The last of remastered in 4k and hdr is beautiful. Will be seeing what final fantasy xv looks like here soon I am sure it will be a beautiful sight also. Unless you have a 4k tv or plan to get one this system is worth the money.

My son loves his new PlayStation. He says the graphics are much better than the PlayStation that he had before PS4 Pro is great.

If your gonna buy your kid just a regular ps4...just buy the Pro so u won’t hear them saying “if I had the PRo..blah blah blah”

Love the Graphics, slim doesn't have optical out port for third party headsets ie Astros.. check the specs before buying a system. Purchased this system for my kids and it works great! The 1TB gives lots of room for loading your favorite games and the graphics are great with our 4K Ultra Sony 65”. Since the PS5 is about to be released, the 4 will likely be offered at lower prices soon. Highly recommend this system...

How can you go wrong. Runs smooth. I replaced the thermal paste with thermal grizzly kryonaut and replaced the thermal pads from thermal grizzly because Sony cheaped out and made them smaller than the chips. So now it runs super quiet even on heavy games like God of War! Sorry to the people with louad ps4's

Not really noticing much of a difference so far. This system doesn't seem to run at hot as the PS4 (the fan doesn't go crazy).

I love the improved load time, performance, and graphics. Couldn't be happier with it. If you are on the fence - I highly recommend it. Transferring everything, data, accounts, etc was a pain. Be ready for that. Otherwise set it up as new and the transition will be pain free.

I am very pleased with this console... Games look sooooo much better and game play is as smooth as butter... Great job, Sony!!

I ordered the ps4 pro for my son but I think I play it more than he does. I love the sports games and the graphics are awesome!

This thing is amazing on a 4K TV... If you have a regular PS4, you need to sell that thing and get you one of these bad boys!!

Crystal clear quality graphics are simple superb. There is so much detail in every aspect of the games better than I hoped for

Bought as a gift for my son. He was playing Madden NFL the other day, I kept looking up thinking it was a actual football game

Bought this as a second ps4 console to go along with my original pre-order PS4 so my gf and I can play games that have network only co-op as we ran out of couch co-op games. The PS4 Pro looks nice on the Vizio M55-E0 4k w/ HDR but for an extra $150 you can get by without it..

The PS4 Pro has better performance than that of the slim as well as 4K. I recommend this for those interested in PlayStation.

I love this little machine, so much I bought a second one for my Grandchildren. They love mine so I know they will there own.

Upgrading from the launch PS4 is an improvement especially on my HD TV and an improvement on my PlayStation VR would get again
