If you have a 4k TV, buy it. If you don't, then buy one if you want to have better graphics and higher FPS. I know not all games are configured for it but some old games are being patched to be compatible.

my guy hasn't played a game for years, he kept talking about getting one so i got it for him for christmas, he loves it. it is easy to use and the graphics are great, i even get a kick out of watching him.

Pairs great with your 4k tv, and ATT GigaPower Fiber with 1TB. Super fast and never a lag. Always been a PS gamer. User friendly for the in-between gamers like myself. I recommend and would purchase again.

The visual enhancements that this console offers is amazing. I traded in my original PS4 and I purchased this system to play Horizon Zero Dawn and a few other games releasing in the future and stream video apps in 4k. Horizon Zero Dawn looked incredible in 4k as well as the other couple of 4k enhanced games that I played. The apps leave something to be desired, however. Amazon Video doesn't currently stream in 4k on the console and the YouTube app's design on the system doesn't allow you to manually select the resolution of your videos so if you have borderline internet speeds you may not be able to view a 4k video at that exact resolution. I've had a great experience with the Hulu app, but its 4k content selection is very minimal. I haven't tried Netflix's 4k content yet though. I would definitely suggest ensuring that your internet speeds be consistent enough to allow for constant 4k playback if streaming content interests you, as anyone would suggest. Overall, your games will definitely look beautiful with the 4k enhancements, the system doesn't seem that much noticably faster than my original PS4 even with the specific performance Boost mode on, and streaming apps should improve in the future once more content is released in 4k from more providers (i.e. HBOgo and Amazon Video). The current offerings of Netflix, Hulu, and Youtube should suffice most buyers taking their first steps into 4k.

My son is thrilled at the difference of the ps4 and the ps4 pro. The graphics are amazing, no lag in the action. He highly recommends getting this console to enhance the gaming experience.

I had the original PS4 and decided to buy the PS4 Pro before getting a 4k TV. Even without the 4k TV, I can see a difference. I am glad I upgraded the PS4 and cannot wait to get a 4k TV to use it on.

Performance is excellent. Exactly what t you would expect from a PS4. It lacks in accessories compared to Xbox1 but it makes up with the exclusive content

So there I was on the fence on whether to upgrade or not, but decided to give it a go and see of it would make my gaming experience even better. Know mind you I only have a Sony 4ktv with no HDR, but could see the difference that made me say "Wow! That is pretty impressive!". I was playing the a Last of Us Remastered and everything was more crisp and clear. Now, is this for everyone? I would say no, but if you have the tv to give this bad boy a shot and money to get it by all means make the jump. Games run smoother and 4k HDR gaming is future proof until they make something even more crazier. Like 8k.lol But in all seriousness this console is solid piece of tech that any gamer should experience. Game on!!

Let me start by saying that I am not any type of console fanboy. When I had the ps2, I had the Original Xbox, Ps3 along with the Xbox 360, Now Ps4 Pro along with the Xbox One X. I buy both consoles solely for Exclusivity of games. I play video games Period. TBH Ps4 has the majority of exclusive games. Xbox has their share of exclusive but not enough to compete with Ps4 in that aspect. I will say though that there’s two things that I like more on the xbox and it’s just my honest opinion and personal preference, others might agree with me on this….Ps4 Plus online play cannot match/compare to Microsoft’s Xbox Live’s Multiplayer gaming. For that reason alone when I purchase a cross platform multiplayer game, I will choose an Xbox One game for the sole reason of multiplayer gaming. I have compared both in this regard with two of the biggest titles (Battlefield 1 & COD WW2), Way smoother and easier to get into a multiplayer match than playing on a Ps4. Reason 2 is…Xbox one x’s graphic are a lot crispier and sharper than the Ps4. Before the One X came out it was safe to say that Ps4 had the graphics aspect on lock compared to the Xbox One(s), not the case anymore. Again, just my personal preference. I like both consoles and I have the best of both worlds so my gaming fun is complete. Hope this helps anyone.

I have been a die-hard PC person for a long time, but finally broke down and bought a console. Of course the specs of my PC blow the PS4 away, but then again my video card alone cost more than this thing. Overall, I like it. I've played it on 4k and 1080 TVs and it looks good on both. I don't like how it has to be connected to the internet for anything to function (even the DVD player??), but I guess that is just how things work nowadays. I bought it during the sony sale for $350 and I think it was worth it. I'm not sure if it will pull me away from PCs, but I am no longer skeptical of consoles-or at least this one.

The PS4 pro is basically a super up PS4, games will have better IQ, frame rates, effects and definition. The PS4 is great as is but the Pro version of games is even better if you care about those things.

Very easy to use. Great graphics. Very slick box. I would recommend this to anyone that’s stuck at home and wants to waste some time with family and friends.

I've always been a PlayStation user and I couldn't go without having this one. I previouly owned a PS4 first gen and I can def notice slight difference in loading times but overall an improvement to the VR look. I hated having two USB ports but this one has three (two in the front and one in the back).

I own 2 PS4s and love that picture quality and game play. The HDR on this system is unreal. When playing on my 4K TV the graphics are insane.

I’ve had PlayStation systems in the past and switched to Xbox , realizing it just wasn’t for me . My ps4 is my baby now lol. The system , how it runs , the graphics, 4K its all amazing.

I currently own a PS4 and now a PS4 Pro and upon comparing the same game side by side on the same brand and model 4k 55" Tvs both set at default there is no noticeable differences between the 2 systems as far as graphic are compared.. I used Re7 as my demo game since this was built for the Pro engine.. As for load speed there is a bit of a jump with the Pro but not much. If the extra $100 for 500gb of extra storage is worth it than go for it or you just want there most advanced to date.. The pro also is not packaged with a game so another loss... Now I also did a same comparison with the Xbox 1s running re7 and the ps4 is better with load time and graphics so Imo ps4 is still ahead of the curve!
