Just doesn't make any sense. End up buying pro just because my ps4 broke. Would not recommend for upgrade but for new customer with 4k/HDR tv.

A great upgrade from the original.

The PS4 Pro has stronger graphics that present a finer detail in the image. The system also provides more shading and presents a more true black by comparison.

But the frame rate had trouble staying stable, I’m all about performance over visuals. Running it on a 1080p screen in performance mode made the game a much more enjoyable experience. Along with Almost every other game in my collection.

The Best PS4 You Can Get
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As far as the PS4 models go, I do believe this is the best one available. The value for the extra $100 compared to the base model: extra performance, double the storage space, extra USB port...is well worth it. Obviously this is a better value for you if you have a 4K TV, as the 4K output (and even upscaling) is pretty gorgeous, but improved frame rates and graphics are also noticeable on a regular HD TV. "Enhanced for PS4 Pro" games that take advantage of the better hardware do look great. For example, Battlefield 1 is much sharper on Pro than it was the original PS4. The only obvious knock on the console is lack of the ability to play UHD (4K) Blu-Ray movies, although it does upscale regular Blu-Ray HD movies and do 4K streaming (Netflix, Amazon, etc.) That aside, the performance and specs, in addition to the overall superior build quality compared to some of the older models (even the AC Power cable is better quality) sets it as the definitive PS4 model to get for those willing to spend the extra $100.
