This is a great system, however if you dont have a 4k tv its not worth the upgrade

Bought the PS4 Pro for my boyfriend as a gift. He absolutely loves it! However, occasionally the app will close on him in the middle of his game. He finds this to be very frusrating. Otherwise, great gaming system!

The PS4 Pro is a great upgrade, especially if your just getting into the PS4 market.

It is a good system. Just make sure you have a 4K hdmi cable, if you want high def.

The product is FANTASTIC, that said, the life-span of this device is absolutely disappointing. At around 10-20 hours a week (A couple hours a night, sometimes longer binges on weekends) I feel this device should be able to last more than 1.5 years. I have no kids and this console has always been properly maintained. Most content I own is also digital so it wasn't wear and tear on the disk drive. I work in IT so I know a lot about troubleshooting hardware and software. I bought this 05/06/17 and here it lies at 10/01/18 dead as it gets. I upgraded the internal HDD to a 2TB Hybrid SSD. I've put a new HDD in it, a HDD from a different PS4 in it, I've moved my HDD to another console (Will start, but needs formatted due to the way the DB is built on Pro vs standard PS4) and I have confirmed that the PS4 Pro is non functional. I can't get it into Safe-mode anymore. I have contacted Sony but I am sure this will cost nearly as much as a new console to send to Japan or something for repairs, assuming there's not a US based repair center. As of right now, I am assuming this is a failed GPU or CPU. I'm torn because I get no video no matter what I do, so thinking the GPU. That said, if it won't even get into Safe-Mode, very high chance it is the CPU. I have put PS4s into Safe-mode probably (2) dozen times now, it won't go--not for a lack of my knowledge or effort. Lesson learned--The ONE time I DIDN'T buy Geek Squad Protection, the 2 year would have taken care of me on this. Get your protection people, $100 for it would have been cheaper than another $400 for the console, and it wasn't that much. I will update the review once I hear back from Sony. 2 Stars because the PS4 is that good, loss of 3 stars for the lack of durability/Lifespan of the product.
