    Worth the upgrade!

I have been reading online about the PS4 pro for over a month to see if it's worth upgrading to the PS4 pro from the original. I finally decided to go for it and I am happy I did. The graphics in my games looks absolutely stunning. Colors are deeper and brighter. I have the PS4 pro hooked up to my Samsung js8500 with hdr (hdmi uhd color) on. I have been playing call of duty infinite warfare and it feels like a different gameplay. The details are insane. I wish it had a 4K blu ray player though. This console definitely beats Xbox one s on gaming. Which I returned after 2 days because the 4k blu ray was horrible. Anyways this is worth the upgrade if you have a 4k tv.

I got this console because it was on top of the console game . I also got this console because people were saying this was the one to get the one of em. The all around best I am a credible consumer because I was banned twice. I’ve been banned for cheating and spamming so i had to make a new account .bored so i know what you have to do and I've had the console for 6 years . I have tried xbox but xbox have all sorts of problems like the controller is too big the graphics are horrible is it no where near compatible to ps4. Also i think the ps4 is way better than the xbox because its just overall way better than the xbox console. I recommend this console because it is on top of the game with other consoles, and the console is the best console in the universe . I also recommend this product because its a very good console to have, or to use. I would say that the console allows you to join parties with your friends and play together in the same lobby with anybody you want and when your friends aren't are you can get in a randumb lobby Also if you buy a certain item you will be rewarded a free item . A gamer would like the product because it is a fun thing to use when you're bored . I would also recommend this product to a gamer because it has a.lot of stuff you can do when you're bored and a variety of games to play. A consumer that likes grinding or gaming a lot would like this product because there are a ton of games to play . A person that likes trying new things would like this because they could try a bunch of new games . The only negative thing about this product is that you'll spend the whole day playing without knowing the day has gone by . Also this product is a time consumer so 10 hours past and it feels like 1 hour has gone by.

tl;dr We definitely need to get the word out to people who are buying new Pros to use ROTTR (Rise of the Tomb Raider) as a benchmark to test if you got a bad Pro or not. I don't want to repeat what others have said about the system. It's awesome. If you are reading this, you probably already know if you want one or not. With "Boost Mode" (Firmware 4.5) incoming, it's almost a no-brainer for an avid gamer. What I do want to share is my experience to save as many headaches as possible. I originally purchased a used PS4 Pro on Warehouse Deals and saved myself $60. Yay! Until I started playing. I soon discovered why it was used - It would crash all the time on Pro-patched games. So, back it went. I still wanted one and decided to buy new this time to avoid anymore hassle. I didn't want to risk losing my 1-year warranty either, which I would soon need. Long story short, my next brand spanking new PS4 Pro started crashing as well. I was convinced it was software related and Sony just working the bugs out. Nope! After doing a lot of research, all the games that were crashing on me (Diablo 3 and ROTTR were the biggest culprits) were being played without hitch by most PS4 Pro owners. I was outside my return window so I had no choice but to send mine to Sony for repair. This was a hard decision as most games still ran just fine (including most PS4 Pro patched games - Skyrim SE, FFXV, AC Syndicate, Shadow of Mordor, Uncharted 4, etc), and I didn't want to replaced a perfectly working system with a refurbished one, but what choice was left? So many others were playing these games without crashing. Well, I got my warranty repair back. Credit to Sony, they sent me a brand new one! Couldn't be happier about that, but the important thing - No more crashing on ROTTR, Diablo 3, or anything else! The fan sounded much quieter and less erratic as well. Without a doubt, the crashing was definitely hardware related as many people had suggested in forums. It happens, I understand. What is surprising to me is how many people this is happening to in the forums. I think most people are okay, but I wonder how many people have defective Pros and haven't realized it yet. If I had to guess (and this is just pure speculation on my part) I would say the problem stems from a very large batch of bad PS4 Pro GPU's. Half of the GPU is always being used. The other half is completely dedicated to Pro-enhanced/patched games only to be used in tandem with the other half (which some games might not fully make use of). This explains why you can play plenty of 4k games without crashing. Whatever the problem, it's definitely hardware related - A patch isn't going to fix it. I know no one wants to hear that their brand new console is defective, but if you are experiencing the same, it's true. Early adopter problems I guess. The good news is you can test to see if yours is defective. Very simply, if you have Rise of the Tomb Raider, play it the second you get your Pro. If you experience crashes, congratulations you won the lottery (you should experience crashes within 15 minutes if it is). Take it back immediately and replace it. If you are outside of your return period, you can still warranty replace it with Sony. If you have to use Sony's warranty repair, I will add they are excellent! It was very hassle free, and they straight-up sent me a new one. For reference, below is my timeline for Playstation repair: 1/25/17: Requested Warranty Repair 1/30/17: Received Return Box and shipped 2/2/17: Delivered to Sony Repair in Laredo TX 2/8/17: Received an email stating my product was shipped 2/14/17: Received brand new PS4 Pro After this experience, I'm definitely buying the PS4 Pro insurance if it becomes available (be aware the regular Playstation Protection Plan currently doesn't cover the Pro). Good luck, I hope this helps!!

The release of the Playstation 4 was no doubt my favorite console release since the Playstation 2 console by the same company, Sony. It’s my favorite due to the crisp graphics, online gaming interface, or the new features allowing me to share video games with buddies of mine, I feel like this is the future of gaming and I can’t get enough of it. It was when I tried to download Grand Theft Auto Five that I found a major chink in Playstation’s armor, it is very limited in HDD space, otherwise known as hard drive space. Unable to download all the pretty graphics, huge maps and small gory details in every kill I found myself deleting my other favorite games to get this one. A basic four hundred dollar PS4 comes with five hundred gigabytes of space on the HDD which holds a waping ten video games on the system, if they don’t take up too much space. This wouldn’t be such a bad thing, but when I take into account all the games I had for the PS4’s predecessors this is kind of a turnoff for me. With the previous Playstation 3 I owned there was owned close to twenty video games on the system without having to delete a single one. I personally am not much of a hardcore gamer, but I find my taste in video games to be random. I can’t just have one favorite game that I play all the time, I need options and therefore I need the space to hold all of these options. Of course this problem can be solved by purchasing a hard drive with more space and replacing the original, but HDD’s are not very cheap and with the amounts you would have to pay to get it installed you are nearly halfway to buying a whole new PS4. The lack of space is what makes the PS4 frustrating. I personally prefer Playstation over all other consoles, I’ve owned five of their consoles in the past ten years and have spent an approximated, unsettling amount of two thousand dollars on the games, applications, and modifications for all of them and haven’t had to delete anything to make more space. I guess I can be considered one of Playstation’s loyal customers, but this product has definitely cost me a good penny in terms of modifying the amount of space it has, and I really don’t have a lot to show for it because I don’t have the space to. This product is great, I don’t regret purchasing it, I just feel that the HDD space is something that either Playstation needs to address or that customers need to be weary of when purchasing.

I get it. Some people don't like this PS Model because it can't play 4k. So. What. The advantages of having a Dedicated 4k movie player is leaps and bounds over simply playing it in a video game console. Having a much better picture than a Console should be your first clue. Don't make the mistake and cheapen out ; you've just spent 400$ (maybe more) on a 2 year old released system. It's a decent system but not exactly new. Sure , there is going to be a PS5, but any release date is speculation. You should have a 4k TV , proper HDMI connections, and a solid sound system. Don't hold out. If you are going to buy a PS4 Pro because of the 4k and 5ghz internet connections , buy solid kit. One faulty cable or lack thereof is a difference between "meh" and "WOOT".

PS4 Pro is an amazing console, it looks really good when your not on a 4k tv and it really plays the games smooth with out any lag issues. When your connected to a 4k tv the quality of your games are improved 10x better with no game lag issues. Have found nothing wrong with the system except it can't play 4k blu-ray movies at the moment, down the road sony will probably update the system to support 4k blu-rays.

PS has the momentum. This version of PS4 is not next gen is just a PS4 with 4K resolution, but there is some differences that benefit the PS4 Pro over standard PS4 for instincts the draw destines is more viewable its crisp then ever before, the shadows are more deep black and the load time is a little faster then standard PS4. If you have a 1080P TV don't waste your money on PS4 Pro keep your standard PS4 this only benefits for those who have a 4K/HDR TV. PS4 Pro has a sleek look I love it....^_^ People say PS4 Pro looks like a big mac just because it has 3 layers they are wrong!.. how on earth will they pack that 4.1 tereflops power? So adding another layer puts that power to good use. Now lets talk about the bad side some times it gets a little sluggish in the UI, but its not so bad compare to Xbox One who is the must sluggish UI ever. The thumbnails of the PS Store takes like 4 seconds to load and no backwards compatible when it comes to physical. Overall I don't regret buying this version of PS4 because I have a 4K/HDR TV so it benefits a lot for me. Now lets be real here specs is important, but not so important then games PS4 has a diversity of games you name it best console for game selection. Don't waste your money on Xbox Scorpio that console only has FPS dull console. Buy A PS4 Pro Now!! (For those who have a 4K/HDR TV)

    PS4 “Pro”

This system is excellent. Not too different from what you’d expect from a typical PS4 except for the addition of 4K gaming and streaming. A weird miss for Sony is the lack of a 4K blu ray player but if you typically stream your content then you won’t be missing much without it. The reason this is getting a 4 star instead of a 5 star is due to the jet engine noise this thing produces. During some cutscenes I could almost hear the PS4 pro over the actual game which is annoying. Outside of that this is a great system!
