I have this console and so far it has been a worth buying upgrade it doesnt sound like its about to take off like the original PlayStation 4

after a few years the console shuts down due to overheat and the fan inside it sounds extremely loud i had it refurbished by Best Buy through the geek squad but that never fixed the problem i waited 3 weeks once i gave to geek squad soon after i had received the problem persisted the fan sounded even louder

When Sony had their press conference about this I that it was garbage, as the release date for Horizon is getting closer I started to see a lot of reviews for the game on how it looked on the PS4 Pro. So i decided to trade my PS4 in for the Pro..... I am so glad I did. I am playing Rise Of The Tomb Raider which I was able to see running on the PS4 before I got the Pro, and visually it is way better than I thought. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish it had A 4k Blu-ray player.

This is my first game console and it is very fun. Product is awesome. Very fast respond and another quality Sony product

I owned the regular ps4 and eventually traded it in when I was bored of it. I recently bought the HTC Vive for PC but wanted to compare it to something. SO I bought the ps4 pro and the VR stuff and lets just say..the ps4 pro compares to many gaming PCs. It is very fast, and the VR was easy to use. Downside is no HD Blu Ray Drive.

If you consider yourself a hardcore gamer and would like to experience the best possible experience for consoles (at least until Scorprio is released in a year), then you must get the PS4 Pro. Game support depends on game developers and a few of them offer great improvements for 1080P/4K/4K+HDR TV owners. However, some games are improved for 4K TV owners in mind so keep that in mind before making your purchase. I would advise a 1080P owner to possibly hold off and save money to buy a nice TV for down the road (unless you don't already own a PS4 then go on ahead and purchase the PS4 Pro). If you already have the PS4 and have a 4K TV then I highly recommend getting the Pro. My TV is the Samsung JU 7100. Unfortunately that TV is not fully supportive of HDR10 (it works but not as great as the KS8000). But with my limited support of HDR, I do notice a difference. For games that offer a 4K resolution, be sure to sit at the right distance in order to see the difference (if you sit too far you may not notice a huge improvement with 4K). This doesn't seem to come with a 4k Bluray player, but that is not a "Deal Breaker" for me. I normally don't use my game console to play Blurays, I don't want to wear down the drive faster than it should, and all though Sony makes great consoles, its like anything else, the more you use it, the more it wears down. I'm looking forward to the 4k and hoping that this is compatible with more 4k sets than the XBone S. The 4k did not work with my Samsung 4k Monitor. The price is amazing too. Do yourself a favor, if you can afford this, pick it up. Sony systems will last you forever!

I moved away from Xbox and upgrade to PS4 pro and it was the best decision I made. The quality of the product, the setup, menus, games, speed, features all are simply amazing. No wonder you can buy Xbox One’s all over the place yet PS4 pro is always backordered.

The image quality on this Playstation is amazing. I would definitely recommend this to others. The system is fairly quickly when running video games and other applications. I plan to purchase this as a gift for a friend in the near future. I highly recommend this PS4 Pro to others.

I can't wait to play games in 4K. I had a few friends try to say me from purchasing the Pro but they are PC gamers who don't only anything 4K and seem to care about framerates and resolution. I'm totally excited to game in 4K on my LG OLED even if most games are just upscaled.

It rips, this thing gives you excellent 4K HDR gaming. Just make sure your 4K TV can handle 4K HDR, as some TVs only have HDR capability on 1080p. The fan might get a bit loud the longer you play, but that's how you dissipate the heat this thing produces for stellar gaming.

When I paired this PRO with a 4k UHD LG 50" the graphics and gameplay are so good I almost forgot Battlefield 1 was running on a console this is well worth benching my i7 PC build time for a lazyboy purchase

I agree with those reviewers here who are upset that the new PS4 Pro doesn't include a 4K DVD player, but I don't think its fair to give it 1 star because of this. As others have noted, this is a GAMING system. But here's why, IMHO, you won't see a 4K DVD player in a PS4 Pro: Sony is a huge electronics company that makes a lot more products than just PS4's. They also make DVD players! And even though Sony does not currently make 4K DVD players (at least ones that are sold on BestBuy.com), you can bet they will be soon. So why would Sony GIVE you a 4K DVD player FREE with your PS4 Pro, when they want you to BUY a separate Sony 4K DVD player? So if a 4K DVD player is what you want, Best Buy sells them right now. But if you want a seriously awesome gaming console, this is it! And if you want both together in one box, you'll just have to wait a year until Xbox Scorpio comes out. Again, just my opinion...

Im very happy with the ps4 pro, it has served me well and does exactly what its supposed to do. i believe we will see even more great throughout 2017 with Horizon, Destiny looking like colorful buttery 4K awesomeness I believe were in for a treat.

I upgraded the launch model to the new Pro on day one and love it just as much as my first one. Ended up selling the launch model to a friend so it worked out beautifully. 4K TV is on the docket for January when I need to keep my Elite Plus status.

The PS4 Pro is the version you should get if you're in the market for a PS4. Better graphics chip, bigger hard drive, and you're future proofing yourself for pro enhanced games. While bigger and heavier than the normal model, it also runs quieter.

Bought one yesterday. I haven't tried 4k on it. I don't feel like using boost mode but I tried it and I didn't notice much difference on the two games I bought. Prey and No Man's Sky. I thought anyway. But i didn't use it much plus I was on 1080 so idk if I would notice much anyway. But the over all experience was .. omg. I love this thing. Coming from xb1. It's no comparison. I love this thing it's amazing! I basically had 2200 to spend on what ever, so I bought a 4k tv and the ps4 pro. The TV is being shipped so this isn't a full review. But I want to say that prey and no man's sky are the duo from heaven. The light bar on the touch pad totally sets the mood for prey. Take it from me ps4 pro is amazing. And dude. The controller is an experience in it's self.. I would recommend all the above.

If you have a 4k tv or want a supersampled image out your game. PS4 pro is a good upgrade over the base console. Newer games almost universally support the pro so if you can afford it, get this instead of a regular ps4. Only reason I didn't give the system 5 stars, is because the fan is very loud compared to the Xbox One X.

Looking through the reviews I decided to purchase the pro. I have owned it now more than a month and I am enjoying it. It is doing everything I thought it would and more. Playstation has really done an excellent job.

Purchased my PS4 Pro from Walmart and I bought the extended warranty but I got a 3-year warranty for $39 I'm enjoying the system more over my 2nd generation PS4 its quieter when playing higher demanding games and having the extra 3.0 USB port on the back can be very useful/having the extra horsepower is reassuring too! The con not having a 4K plalyable disc drive but for $400 I guess I can deal with that..lol
