The best PlayStation console yet. Love the ease of use, the speed it delivers and the dual sense controller is out of this world good.

Its a great system with some serious caveats. First of all, I purchased both ps5 and Xbox Series X so I will be comparing both and reviewing the PS5 against the Series X. Sony got a lot of things right here, but there are some serious missteps that Im sure will be addressed in due time. The system design is cool, but its novelty wears off fast when you try to fit it in your entertainment center with other devices. Nothing else looks quite like it so it sticks out like a sore thumb. Its not horrible, but it could certainly use a redesign. I dont think it needs to be nearly as big and galmy as it actually is. Whereas the Xbox SX is sleek and symmetrical, the PS5 just looks odd in comparison. The console performance is phenomenal to say the least. Spider Man looks insane on the PS5, whereas it looked merely great on ps4 pro. Its actually quite a shocking difference, which bodes well for games in the future. If cross gen games look this good already, 2-3 years from now will be mind blowing! However, cross-generational games also pose somewhat of an issue on the ps5. On several occasions, the PS5 downloaded the ps4 version of a ps5 game I had downloaded. I then had to delete and reinstall, making sure to select the PS5 version to install. Why wouldnt it automatically recognize what system Im installing the game to, which is where Xbox Series X really shines. On the Xbox, you automatically get the best version for your system, no guess work. It may seem minor, but its fairly frustrating in practice. One huge issue is the HDD size. Ive only got a handful of games installed and am already out of space. With no upgrade options, Im stuck uninstalling and reinstalling games I want to play at any given time. Sure you can plug a regular old HDD in and use that, but its not NEARLY even close to a solution as you cannot actually play the ps5 games from a standard HDD and there is NO SSD option to expand the PS5 SSD memory. So yes you can save game file and transfer them back and forth as needed, but why there isnt an expansion similar to Xbox SX memory card solution is beyond me. The ps5 controller is pretty great as well, but the immersive haptic trigger feedback is almost a nuisance at times. This force feedback is considered revolutionary by some, but I find similar implementation on the Xbox that has been there since early days of Xbox One. Sure it may be more active and slightly different than Xbox, but its basically the same thing! How is it a revolution now if Xbox was doing it last gen? Xbox Trigger feedback is also less intense, making it more bearable for long play sessions. Try playing Black Ops for more than an hour with trigger feedback on and your hands will curse at you! Whe it comes to the games, thats where Sony always shines. However, I find myself playing and replaying ps4 games more than anything. There just arent that many ps5 exclusive games yet. Almost everything is also available on ps4 and I have already played most of them! Demons Souls, which many argue is a true ps5 exclusive, is simply a remake of the ps3 game! As glorious as the graphics are, I didnt care for Demons Souls then and prettier graphics DO NOT make it more fun. Its still a riduclously hard game and pretty graphics do not change that. Godfall is not good either, so there no exclusives that could be considered killea apps right now. Of course Ratchet and Clank is out soon so that will change, but if you have been having a hard time getting a PS5, just be patient as there really isnt anything that screams you need this right now!

Really enjoying my PS5. Graphics are great, speed is fast, storage sucks though. They have not added as of yet a way to add a bigger SSD or m.2 in it. So you are crippled to something like 690 gigs. When you download a game like the newest COD it takes up over 100 gigs itself. But the controller is great. The experience is great. Just need to fix the storage issue soon.

I love it! The new control is really good! And the whole system is fast smooth! The look of the PS5 is very modern and sophisticated! I really like it!

Haven’t had a PlayStation since they took forever to make the ps3, been on Xbox since the 360. I think the Series X is the better system but the nostalgia of it and this pS5 controller has my mind blown. Only ps5 game I have is Spider-Man and I haven’t even played it yet because I’m enjoying these ps4 games I can catch up on(they look great by the way and my tv doesn’t have HDR just 4K 1080. I’d advise if you get lucky enough to get the system you should purchase a extra controller and the dual charging station, the 3D headphones was also worth the extra money

This thing is not only beautiful to look at, but it makes you contemplate exactly what life is all about. The white body paired with the black...middle area...makes for a great look! under all that plastic though is a beast just waiting for you to unlock its cage. Games look super fast. Miles Morales doesnt even have loading screens. Graphics are top notch and the controller is actually better than the Xbox controller. $500? they could have made this $600 and I still would have purchased this. If your ex was a gamer, then they are definitely taking a fat L for this.

Awesome machine! Load times are crazy fast. Graphics are phenomenal. Only draw backs are no web browser and amount of storage space vs. game size.

Playstation 5 is worth it. Graphics run seemlessly and super fast. Load times are short and the new controller is amazing. Can't wait for Gran Turismo 7

I got this system specifically for ghost of tsushima and Spider-Man. Now they coming on steam lol. If you don’t wanna spend a lot on a pc this is second beat.

What can I say. The new PS5 with all of its intuitive features and amazing controller are on point. The graphics are stellar and out of this world. The ray tracing effects are digital crack. The controller makes games come alive in the palm of your hand. There are a few bugs to be worked out with the system. Seems to crash a lot when trying to put into rest mode. System have been known to over heat. Haven't seen that problem. Sony is working on the kinks but to all the gamers that have yet to experience this new technology. Be patient and play really has no limits now!

So smooth and fast. Loaded GTA 5 before I knew it I was already in the city. Horizon Zero Dawn looks awesome! Had ps5 for couple weeks now it’s so quiet.

The PlayStation 5 is the next gen of gaming. Super fast loading, amazing graphics and an awesome controller with haptic feedback.

Was one of the lucky ones to grab one and I heard it was big but man this thing is huge but nice to look at. The ew controller is amazing and performance is great. Only issues I know of is the limited internal storage space and the UI is not complete. Many games, themes, avatars and applications are not in the PS5 yet but assume it will change when the PS5 becomes available to all.

Excellent if you don't need the disc option. Many people, I included, have gtown accustomed to finding deals on disc version of the games since the digital versions are almost always at full retail for the first few months after launch of the AAA games. And then after finishing the campaign, more often than not, I either trade it in for store credit or sell it to recoup part of my initial cost. So with this, you lose that option. Yes, you're paying 100 dollars less than the disc version, but is the trade off worth it in the long run?

Great console if you can get your hands on it. Much more quiet, faster load times, and great graphics compared to its predecessors.

Refreshing upgrade to the PlayStation 4. Love the speed and new controller technology. Great original design for the living room or bedroom decor.

Don't know what to say, this console is great! When I first powered it on, before it got to choosing my preferred language, it was stuck on a loading screen. I just turned it off and on, then all was well. For everyone that has this console, PLEASE play Astros playroom! It's a gamechanger. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are awesome!!!! The UI is great, but I wish the settings was in the control center. Other than that, no complaints! I'm coming from an xbox, so have a ton of exclusives to play! And one more thing, this console is HUMONGOUS Jesus Christ lol

The PS5 is a powerful and well-designed console that offers a compelling next-gen gaming experience. Its library of exclusive games continue to be a showcase for the PS5’s marvelous DualSense controller, spatial audio tech and super-fast SSD, and it’s the reason why so many gamers will covet Sony’s new PlayStation console. It might be too big for some setups, though, and a couple of issues hold it back from being a five-star product. However, it's a welcome upgrade over the PS4 and an exciting portal to next-gen gameplay.

Great system love everything about it. Was blessed enough to get my hands on two during a really hard time getting them.
