Amazing console. So happy with it. Although the console is HUGE, the performance makes up for it. The load times are incredible!

Upgrading from a Ps4 slim, there is quite a discernible difference in picture quality and load times. Ive been playing Spider-Man and it looks even more amazing and realistic than the original Ps4 version. The load times for the game and fast travel are nonexistent and it feels instantaneous. The unit is heavy and big, especially when compared to the Ps4 slim so that certainly is a an adjustment. If you're in ned of an upgrade it's worth it, can't speak as to whether it's a huge step up from the Ps4 Pro.

I bought this as a birthday present to myself and was lucky to preorder it. Had an issue with the system crashing the first few days, but that appears to be resolved. I guess that’s the price to pay of being an early adopter. The load times and excellent and the graphics are great (COD Cold War). Currently, I find the number of PS5 games that pique my interest, lacking. I’ve been spending the majority of my time playing PS4 games. I look forward to future games such as FF16, GT7 and etc.

I am a diehard PC gamer. I have been gaming at 60-120FPS for years. By far the BIGGEST upgrade about this console generation is the upgrade to 60FPS. It is truly amazing. However, it is very dangerous. Once you go to 60FPS it really is impossible to go back to 30FPS. Games feel choppy and awful at 30FPS. This PS5 has a BLAZING fast SSD. Games load stupid fast.. faster than my $4,000 gaming PC with an RTX 3090. Just buy it. Don't think. Just do it. The PS5 is amazing.

A bit pricey but happy with purchase fast loading good graphics.....a little oversized for a console ....waiting for more games

Console is huge and takes up space but overall it runs smooth and everything looks good on it. Needs more launch titles though.

The PlayStation 5 is hands down the smoothest, nicest, best ease of use, fastest gaming consoles I’ve ever used in my entire life. This machine is amazing. Only problem is how freaking big it is, and lack of storage space.

Let's be real, getting your hands on one of these things is no small task. I wanted to spend some time with the console before leaving a review. Design - This thing is a monstrosity and you'll want to be intentional around carving out some space for this device. I'm indifferent to the way it looks but just know it has PRESENCE. Performance - PS5 is lightening fast. The time it takes to power up and get in the game is silly. Load times are almost an afterthought and the games look gorgeous on the right display *NOTE* PLEASE make sure your TV has an HDMI 2.1 port or save up for one that does. No reason to not take advantage of next-gen tech and the higher refresh rates! User Interface - this is where I dock 1-star. The menu system is a significant departure from the previous gen. That's not inherently bad but the experience doesn't feel user-friendly. I wonder if the same folks who design menus for their Alpha-series mirrorless cameras are also behind the PS5 menu? I have a hard time believing anyone even considered returning this console - it's that good! Outside of a lackluster menu system, this console feel like and acts like a next gen system.

Best launch of any system that I've encountered. System runs really smooth. Controllers feel nice and the haptic feedback L/R buttons function really nice in the Astro demo game that is included. This controller feels much better than the ps4 controller. No issues with downloading games. No issues with transferring games from ps4 onto external hard drive connecting it to ps5. There's a Day 1 update and a few smaller updates since the release of this console. Menu feels familiar to the ps4.

This was by far one of the hardest purchases to accomplish, at no fault to Best Buy of course. Once I was able find one it was definitely worth the wait! The visuals, speed and performance are amazing. Sony has done it again with making their next generation PS work exactly how the gamers want them to be. From my first PlayStation to now....I'm a fan for life! Of course, the console is HUGE compared to its successors so you better have some room where you're going to place it at.

Actually getting the console was amazingly lucky, but the console is great. Comes pre-loaded with a fun game that shows off all of the best feature of the game, and backwards compatibility makes every game played on it better. The SSD makes the system shine over the PS4, and being able to play my favorite games across generations with higher fidelity and better load times is already worth it. Also, Sony is selling the console at a loss, so the value is great even given the price tag
