What's not to like. I've played PS since I was in high school and now I'm in mid thirties. The graphics, scenes and characters are on a whole new level. The controllers are great all the haptic feedback. So far my kids use it more than myself and they are really happy about it. We got sackboy and spiderman morales ultimate series and so far everything is looking good. I'm not a seasoned PS player to know all the nuances. As someone just getting back into gaming, it's really good.

Most already know what this is so I'm just going to cover what I like and don't like about the new console from being as neutral as possible as I have this a the series x: Pros: decent amount of launch games, strong first party titles, awesome new controller. Cons: limited storage for games, only allows 1 external hard drive, can't transfer games while playing, when using sleep mode the system freezes up quite a bit to where when it's turned on it does the start up as it's being unplugged.

The PS5 is a revolutionary console, and the dual sense controller is the biggest thing to happen to controllers since motion controls with the wiimote. The subtlety and precision of the feedback in the controller has to be experienced to be appreciated. The console is super quiet (finally for a PlayStation console), and everything is super fast. Even the download speeds are improved over PS4. It runs almost all PS4 games better, and if they have unlocked framerates, you’ll enjoy a locked 60FPS.

No problems like the internet says. Very fast and quiet. The dualsense it comes with gives another sense of game immersion.

The PS5 takes gaming to the next level. The gameplay is insane! I did have to buy an external hdd after about 9 games though!

Loving the PS5 as an all-out Xbox guy and PC gamer for years....it's SO fast. Had never played any Ratchet & Clank games before and became instantly hooked. The Play at Home program is SUPER valuable; I'm really looking forward to getting Horizon: Zero Dawn for free next month. Can't compare this console to any previous Playstations, nor do I have an 8K TV to really max out the graphics, but I believe the gaming experience is worth every penny even on a 1080p TV. Cheers!

The console has a really unique design. It is also very large (larger than the original Xbox One). The controller feels very ergonomic and has a unique vibration system. You can feel the difference in materials that your character walks on in Astrobot (a free game pre-installed to the system!). At one point in Astrobot, my character turned into a spring and it actually felt like I was pressing a spring with the controller's triggers. I'm very excited to see where devs take this.

The Best & Only Next Gen Gaming Console of al Time

Truly a Next gen gaming console. Everything about the PS5 just SCREAMS next gen from it futuristic looks, CPU, better custom GPU than the XBSX, SSD, UI, Gaming performance, Graphics and the pure thought and ingenuity Sony had put in to the cooling system. I also have the XBSX but playing on it just feel like I'm playing a faster XB1X and nothing next gen about it. If you want to play next gen games buy a PS5 if your satisfied with retro gaming than the XBSX or XBSS is good for you.

The PS5 speaks for itself with an unbeatable lineup of exclusive games and a controller with cutting edge features. (XBOX still uses the same controller features from the 360 era with the exception of an added 'Share' button) Haptic feedback and Adaptive triggers are no gimmick, once you try it. Its a step forward. M.2 drive is WAY more user friendly then a proprietary memory stick. More options means cheaper storage and continuing innovation.

I went with the PS5 over the Xbox Series X because I have a PC. And most games that are released on the Xbox Series X. They get released on PC. Plus Game Pass on PC is great! Anyways, back to the PS5. The new controllers are an improvement to the previous generation. When I had my PS4 Pro. I said to myself that it would be my last console. However, since the PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4 games. It was an easy choice to buy this PS5. Wish it was all previous backwards compatibility. But oh well. One of the first games i played on the PS5 was Spider-Man Remastered. The quality and performance is awesome! It definitely feels the closest the consoles have gotten close to a gaming PC. The Miles Morles games looks even better! When I tried to play Apex Legends. It surprised me with the quality and buttery smooth motion. That it actually got me a little motion sick. Hardware wise, Microsoft new console is better. But for those that already have a good Gaming PC. You should go with a PS5. I have yet to have any issues with my PS5. The only time that the console has been loud. Is when I play a game from disc. The added PS collection is great because there are games that I wanted to play! The console is massive. and Definitely have to make sure you have room for it. Whether you set it horizontal or vertical. The hot air gets pushed upward (if setting up vertical). Which I feel is more optimal and the way it is meant to be set up. Be careful when taking out the screw for the stand. Do not force taking out the screw. You'll end up breaking it. I am excited to see the next PS exclusives look like. At the end of the day. It doesn't matter what console is "better". What matters is that you have fun. Plus, more games that are multiplayer or co-op are becoming Cross-Platform. So it won't matter which console you prefer more. Because you'll still be able to play with your friends. :)

What is there to say? Sony continues the trend of betting on their first party developers, and it works every single time. Of course the hardware has to complement the amazing software, and with the PS5, they have delivered once again. The technical masterpiece that is the SSD is mind blowing. The build quality of the rest of the hardware is solid as well. Only thing that caught me off guard was just how massive the console is. I knew it was big, but it still surprised me when I pulled it out of the box. The controller is a massive improvement over all the previous Sony controllers. And that's coming from someone who loved all the iterations of the Dualshock. The build quality, the comfort, the haptics are all amazing. I didn't know I wanted this so bad. There is only one complaint I have with the PS5 is the lack of backwards compatibility with anything older than a PS4. And even with that, it has quirks of requiring physical discs to be in the console for it to launch those games. Digital games are handled with no issues. That is the one department the Series X has on the PS5, imo. Other than that, I am completely satisfied with the PS5.

The PS5 is my current favorite console due to plenty of things but the thing that stands out the most is performance. The performance is outstanding which one should expect from a 500 dollar console in 2021, but this thing handles everything like a champ. Quick loading times, amazing graphics, and it never bogs down. The only issue I’ve had with it is some wifi issues but hopefully that will be solved in a future firmware update.
