After PS3 and PS4, the PS5 felt dead-quiet upon first purchasing in comparison to the previous generations. The console itself is great, and the Dualsense controller is truly inventive and helps with immersion in some games, both in the haptics and adaptive triggers. However, it's started to develop significant coil whine and get noisier, which is slowly bugging me more and more. Even tucking the console behind my TV, I can still hear the buzzing with nighttime low volumes in my surround system. I don't mind the fans, it's the coil whine buzzing that I'm referring to - check YouTube for examples. I hope Sony does something to address this, as my Xbox Series X is dead-quiet in comparison, and I will likely start buying some cross-platform games on that platform for noise concerns alone, at least when the Dualsense features are not implemented. So close to giving 5 stars otherwise.

The console is quite amazing. New UI is sleek and easy to use. Wifi downloading of games seems to be a bit faster than that of the PS4. Virtually no fan noise from the console when on. There are several media apps to download including Netflix, YouTube and Hulu. The console itself is a bit large. The DualSense controller is a game changer with games that utilize the new hardware. Packaging was sleek.

Played PS1 and PS2, and have played xbox exclusively since then until the PS5 came out. Really loving it so far. The controller is honestly really amazing, of course graphics are great. Currently grinding through a long list of exclusives that I've missed out on (demon souls, bloodborne, last of us, god of war, etc). Side note, the home screen music is so relaxing lol.

Very happy that Best Buy was still selling these as a standalone product and not as a bundle. Great purchase process, and the console itself is as expected. Fast startup, great graphics, hilariously and inconveniently large for the 21st century. Sure it's pretty to look at but I'd rather be able to tuck it in a normal TV stand and not see it at all.

I have been playing Playstation for decades, ever since a kid. I guess I am a Sony fanboy. Either way, the system is great, operates smoothly, and subtle improvements make the system much more convenient to use. I use it for streaming and gaming, so there is a lot of use. I would recommend it for a gaming system. The controllers are amazing too!

Truly next-gen console. The cooling fan is loud, but overall console's response is fast, Wi-Fi6 enabled and the new Dual Sense controller is an whole new experience. The free game Astro's Playroom that comes pre-loaded is highly recommended to get an idea of the full breath of capabilities the Dual Sense has to offer. PS5 is bulky, so make sure to reserve some spot to display this artistic object.

The wait is finally over for the arrival of the much anticipated PlayStation Five! This Next Gen game system is truly an awesome experience from its beautiful futuristic design to the insane graphics and last but not least the new Dualsense controller with its super unique & responsive haptic feedback functions. If you are truly looking for the Next Gen gaming experience look no further than the PS5.

Nothing else to say, really. Through a $120 M.2 SSD in and it’s even faster, if you can believe that.

Was going to get a PS4 Pro but held off after the PS5 announcement. Plays my PS4 games beautifully with quicker load times and runs quit to boot. Once in a while the fan will kick on and it can be a bit noisy for about 5 seconds. Comes with a free digital game, Astro’s Playroom, which is a action platformer that showcases what the new PS5 controller can do. Makes me excited for future games!

Love this bad boy and was surprised that i was able to get one. From the moment you boot up you see the difference a hdr ui screen can make. Quick response time and load times from the jump. Heard about all the issues some people have had but i am fortunate not to have had those problems. Had to sit this thing vertically...this is a beefy console and doesnt look right horizontally. Next gen is here!

Love the PS5. Great modern design and many features. Best of all, quiet as a mouse and doesn’t sound like a jet like the PS4 did haha. Granted, there aren’t many PS5 exclusive games out just yet, the speed and upgrades of last gen games is worth it imo. The PS5 exclusive games out now are a great taste of what’s to come down the road. Can’t wait. Great time to be a gamer

Have had every gaming console since the Atari but havent been into video games as much in the past 10 years or so. Bought one for my son and decided to buy myself one too. The graphics and controller features on this thing are impressive and have me hooked on video games again. It is surreal what technology has come to when it comes to video games. This Playstation console is a must have.
