I was very fortunate enough to order one of these earlier in the year. It's large, but very powerful and the internal fan is pretty quiet compared to my previous ps4. Not a lot of exclusives yet, but I'm loving the short load times and enhancements made to my ps4 games. Easy to use and great quality. The controller is great especially with the trigger resistance in FPS.

Excellent in almost every way. Fast loading and tons of speed. The power and eject buttons are much easier to find, but still not ideal. The new interface leaves a lot to be desired. It changes as you changes items and there seems to be no way to customize it. HD space is not remotely enough for next gen games. The design of the system is such that the system cannot lay flat sideways without a small plastic stand shoring it up. It is a strange design choice especially considering the large size. The new dualsense controller is bulkier than the standard (arguably better designed) controller. These changes were likely made to make room for the new dualsense technology, but aside from Astro’s playroom it is not well utilized yet. Personally, my hands cramp up after a half-hour or so of play time. Overall, this is an excellent next gen system, but there were some design and build choices that have left me missing my PS4 Pro.

I love the PS5, the games do take a while to load when you first install them. The games also take up a lot more space (usually it can store like 6ish games). I got an external hard drive and it is working great so I don’t have to delete old games to make room anymore.

I havent own Playstation since since the orginal and owned dreamcast and Xbox. Been Xbox fanboy and loyal to them. I got caught up in war between the two consoles which was mistake. I said all these nice PS games i wanted to play and never have. No more and i was able to get this day one of release. I have played spiderman remastered, miles morales and game that comes included with it i cant think of the name. I can say i have very much enjoyed this console and games. Im looking forward to buying new games that are exclusive to the platform. Graphics amazing and controller. The bad i dont like is storage. They need solution like Xbox Series X. They need a gamepass type subscription hands down it cant Xbox service and Dolby Atmos support for home theater system is lacking. In spite of all that i still really like this console. This generation i will enjoy both consoles and keep it moving.

Awesome console, honestly worth the whole waiting and hunting for the ps5 back in 2021. Albeit I don’t have much time to game but when I do it’s a blast the quality of some these games titles are shocking compared to past gen. Enjoyed death stranding and Spider-Man so far and some war zone here and there never hurts. Would recommend as a gift for the kids or maybe for yourself lol

Awesome game system with lightning fast load times and great graphics. I still think the Xbox controller does it right with the offset left analog stick, but you eventually get used to the Playstation setup. PS5 exclusives make the purchase worthwhile, but it's a shame the second hand market has made these nearly impossible to find.

BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME THIS YEAR. I bought the console expecting it to be great and I was not disappointed. The haptic feedback and the 3D audio the PS5 provides is out of this world! If you want a whole new experience with gaming, PS5 is a good choice. The storage is a little downside so I would recommend buying a storage unit but other than that the gameplay is nice and the load times are outstanding.

Super easy to transfer data from my ps4. Graphics are excellent and load times are significantly faster.

Great Console and the new controller make the games more immersive. I've been playing Demon's Souls and the haptic feedback is unlike anything I've felt before in a console controller. The console is quiet and can get a bit loud when installing a game but after it completes installing its very silent. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and I'm looking forward to what Sony first party studios are developing.

Not much to be said beyond what you already know, so I’ll focus on the “gotcha” type things. First off, the purchase process: Best Buy has implemented a couple of things to make purchasing this less of a fight against scalper bots. You’ll need to physically pick it up, and inventory requires a double add to cart, as well as inventory being released in waves. For folks like me who don’t have all day to monitor stock levels, this was a big help. That being said, these are still pretty hard to get ahold of. Second, the storage drive: This is pretty impressive from a performance perspective but the actual usable capacity is not brilliant. Only about 700gb is available for use by games. If you’re like me and have a sizeable PS4 library and don’t want to keep uninstalling and reinstalling, this becomes an issue. Alternative is that you’re going to need an external drive because as I write this, it’s not possible to use the internal expansion bay. Keep in mind, two external drives cannot be used by the system at once. Also, if you’re going to do this - do some research on drives that are compatible as not every drive will work for this purpose. Otherwise a fantastic product and a worthwhile upgrade, especially if you have one of the early PS4 Pro’s like me and the noise was getting on your nerves. This runs ally quieter and generates a lot less heat than the PS4 Pro.

A huge improvement over the PS4, with limited backwards compatibility and a much more clean and fast UX (mostly thanks to the SSD speeds) being steps in the right direction. I would have liked to see more strides to ensuring past generations are not left in the dust (referring to PS1-PS3) besides just cloud gaming however for now simply being able to play both PS4 and PS5 games will do.

I'm so happy I was able to purchase one of the PS5 consoles recently. The graphics are amazing and I love how the vibrations in the controller make the gaming experience more realistic. It takes no time for games to load up now. I think NBA 2k21 was loaded within 5-10 seconds. I can't wait to play all the amazing games on this console and would recommend everyone to get one when in stock.

Overall really happy with the console Pros - much faster than the previous generation, cant wait for next-gen exclusive games - the new feedback in the PS5 controllers add a whole new dynamic to games Cons - The hard drive is about 200gb smaller than the Xbox - its freakin huge! - disappointed with how difficult its been to get the next-gen consoles. Something needs to be done about scalpers

Going from an og PS4 to the PS5 makes all the difference in the world. The ps menu is so much better interface-wise. The controller feels so much better than the PS4 one does. Games load at lightening speed if they’re optimized for ps5. I played Miles Morales on both consoles and it doesn’t even compare how much better it is on the new console. All worth the month and a half of struggling to find!

WOW. This console blew me away. I love this console! It is super fast and the UI is so much better than the PS4. I have my PS4 games on a 4 TB external hard drive and all I had to do was plug it into my PS5 and I was all set. Spiderman: Miles Morales looks and plays incredible!!! Backwards compatibility works exactly as it should. The new controller feels perfect! This is a must buy console!!!

ridiculously silent. cannot be overstated.... it is dead quiet, while at the same time drastically outperforming ps4 pro and xbox one x with a truly unique controller you'll never find similar of elsewhere in a lifetime..... but.... chances are if you're reading this, you probably already made your mind and will end up buying a ps5 regardless of what anyone above it below me have to say about it ;)

This system was well worth the wait. It was super easy to set up, and once the updates were done, it performed like a charm. The graphics are far and away the best I have seen on a system (comparing the PS4 and PS5 versions of the same game, Insomniac's Spider-Man game), and installation of PS4 games has also been very easy. I highly recommend this system.
