I cant believe i had actually got my hands on a ps5. The startup is pretty easy with the app and the software is absolutely beautiful. playstation will always be top tier. the download speeds are fast and the graphics with a 4k tv are immaculate.

While the PS5 and Xbox Series X both suffer from a lack of exclusive games, the PS5 certainly fares better on that front and, crucially, makes a better all-round case for getting on board the next-gen train. It feels fresh and new, has an innovative controller, features bespoke 3D audio tech that anyone with a pair of simple wired headphones can take advantage of, and a built-in game that introduces you to all these cool new things in charming style. None of this can be said of the new Xbox. However it has a complete lack of Dolby Vision, and its lack of Dolby Atmos is everywhere but in the Disc Player app, but some or all of these issues could be fixed in time. The resolution and frame rates are no higher than from the Xbox – but in terms of new, game-changing tech and a dazzling user experience it's a home run.

Was looking for a disk version at first but was able to buy digital at some point. And I’m pretty happy with it, no need to collecting dust with disk versions of games. And the design looks much better without the disk reader in my opinion

Securing one of these was quite the challenge. The console itself is Pretty good, I had my doubts about the new controller, but it's solid, though I am not a huge fan of the triggers. Load times on the PS5 are incredibly fast from my experience. I have not yet tried expanding my storage, but plan to in the future. My gripe with this purchase is actually with how Best buy made purchasing this available, locking the right to purchase behind a $200 paywall to buy a 1 year membership to thier Total tech membership. Which has already paid for itself through protection plans, however having to come up with $200 at the drop of a hat just to get something that was already over $500 with tax. Really did not sit well with me initially.

If you're getting into the PS5 without any prior history with the PS4 then I'd definitely recommend thinking about going full digital for the future and save the $100, but if you're like me with a backlog of physical PS4 games already then the Disc/Standard Edition PS5 is totally worth paying up for. Thanks to the backwards compatibility with most PS4 titles, both physical and digital, (not to mention quicker load speeds and other graphical upgrades) this new PS5 just entirely replaces my PS4 Slim in every way. This reminds me of when I first got my PS Vita and how it instantly antiquated my PSP, doing everything better and doing even more on top of that, literally game changing! Now all you need is a backwards compatible PS3, a PS Vita, and a Standard PS5, and you'll be able to play the entire library of PlayStation games covering all consoles.

Being lucky enough to have scored one on release day, it’s hard to complain. I’m not even completely sure if the few issues I have had were even the result of the console itself and not that of the game. Runs super fast and smooth. Wifi is much better, and the new UI is so much better. I love that they didn’t leave the PS4 players behind as you can not only play cross gen, but chat even works great. I have had a lot of issues when playing the new Call of Duty Cold War. Game crashing and freezing. Even shutting the console off. But no issues while playing anything else. Overall I’m very happy!

This PlayStation 5 was my first grab here at Best Buy local pickup after I gave up on the first preorder. I was managed to grab one because I have it in my cart for while and waiting Best Buy to drop again. I don’t understand why is so hard to grab one.

This was a Christmas present for my sons. The look on their faces unwrapping and seeing this was well worth it! The console is a beast, loads a lot faster and plays smoother than our old PS4. Glad we can also play PS4 games on it as well. I'm a happy dad!

This is truly an upgrade from the PS4. Much quicker loading time, durable and responsive controller. Setup and data transfer was automatic, just took clicking on a couple of prompts. The Mike and speaker built into the controller is awesome too.

The absolute most amazing console ever ! I would recommend getting an SSD expansion when you get the console , the SSD is very small 825 Gig & only 667 available to use …. That space goes very quickly !

Definitely worth the wait and long nights of just sitting on websites trying to get. Although it’s big and takes lots of space still fits where my PS4 was. The loading time is next to nun for almost all games even GTA doesn’t take a year to load anymore!

The 60fps alone is enough reason to get this system. Spiderman Remastered is out of this world. If you can get your hands on one, I highly recommend the ps5 as Sony has done it again and I look forward to future games that are launching on the system.

Overall, this console is awesome! Been a PlayStation gamer since ps1 and never disappoints! The controller technology is insane, I hope more game developers in the future will implement those enhancements into their games for more immersive gaming. Love it!!

Loving this piece of tech. Next Gen gaming is here and Sony is still getting it right. The speed of loading games, the look of the system and crisp 4k visuals will make you be immersed. It's backwards compatible so you can play ps4 games as well.

Had to wait 4 months until I was finally able to get one of these. I must say it was well worth the wait. Blown away by the graphics and fps on my 4k TV. Controls feel solid and interface is user friendly with plenty of customization and options.

A lot of people say buying the first batch is not smart because of it “breaking down” but in my case I haven’t had any issues. I think if you play it 3 days non stop it will tend to overheat. But I love it, graphics is great! The new games look like a movie!

The PlayStation 5 is a game changer! Faster loading times, crisper graphics, such an amazing experience right out of the box. If you have the opportunity to get to get your hands on one I 10/10 would recommend it, it’s truly a miraculous piece of hardware.

First off, this thing is huge! I like the Xbox series X design so much better. But I honestly feel like the PS5 is a next gen console. It comes with a great little game that reminds me of a Mario game from nes, but you collect all the old PlayStation memorabilia from the past. So it takes you dow memory lane. Other than that, I haven’t really played any great games yet, since there’s nothing I like that’s out right now for me to enjoy. But once the console has been out for some time. We will start to get great games. It’s a must buy, if you are a console playing fool!

Surprisingly super quite. I’ll play Spiderman, or warzone and I honestly can hardly hear a fan. This thing has some beefy cooling in it. But it’s a massive system. It’s great highly recommend getting the disc drive version so you can get games cheaper later.
