Was lucky enough to be able to pick up a PS5 on launch day, 11/12/2020. I have not had any problems with the machine making excessive noise, or over heating, I have noticed the wireless controllers seem to need charging more than I am typically used to with the older DS4 (DualShock 4) controllers. I love that I can use my DS4 controllers with the PS5 seamlessly (as long as I'm running a basic app or PS4 title) which is most of the time for my kids (the ones that are more apt to destroy a controller with spilled drinks or food). I have had the machine crash a couple of times to date in AC: Valhalla, but I've not lost any save data and I chalk it up to new release software stability issues. If they persist or become irritating, I would update my review.

Took a while to get but love playing every second of the PS5. Graphics are killer and even makes older PS4 games better. Can’t wait for more games to come out. Hope everyone can get a chance to get one

Definitely worth the upgrade from a PS4 Pro. Even though my Pro had a 1TB Samsung SSD, the PS5 blows it out of the water when it comes to load and boot times. Fan is quiet, games are great and I'm loving it so far!

Love this console. Its so much faster and better quality. The whole menu is very different compared to the ps4. Its great because you can still play with your friends who have not had the chance to upgrade to the ps5

Amazing system!! Waited forever ever but I got mine with total tech member Monday. Totally worth the wait! Amazing graphics and sound with the right TV. Highly recommend with a Sony Bravia!

The console is amazing. Period. A shout out to Best Buy for having a process that requires multiple steps before purchasing the console. I tried other major outlets, but they seemed to allow bots purchase them in bulk.

Love this new console, but I would spend the extra $100 for the disc version if you can. Storage runs out quick and the expanded SSDs I don't think are out yet. Plus backwards compatibility with PS4 is great.

Great system, but sadly this gen of games isn’t much different from the ps4 era.

Lucky enough to score a preorder and although I've had a few random crashes with Valhalla (but really was actually expecting some issues out the gate with this being initial release hardware 'n all) I've thoroughly enjoyed the PS5 so far. Love the remote and headphones too. So much quieter than my PS4 was, and downloads happen so much quicker too. Wish the drive was bigger - 667GB usable (I I remember correctly) ..but I really don't play more than 2 titles at a time...so for the moment its not a showstopper.

I haven't gotten any of the new PS5 games yet, but the performance on the PS4 games is excellent and it is backward compatible with the PSVR hardware. The VR games show a major improvement in resolution and framerate.

Nothing to complain about here! Mostly impressive with the new controller. I was sad they were already moving away from the Dualshock 4, but my goodness the PS5 controller is the best controller I’ve ever used!

PlayStation has been and will always be a wonderful system. They never seem to amaze me on how they innovate with the times. This is a great system with awesome graphics. You will love this system for years to come.

The system it's self is amazing. No complaints with how excellent games run and look and the speed of the machine. You need to make sure that you actually check the dimension of this before you get it. If you can get one that is. Even after measuring before buying until you see this is real life you just aren't ready for the actual size of this thing. I will be 1st in line to exchange/sell/upgrade this when they actually do a re-design for this.

Hype is all worth it. It’s graphics are great. The updates are super fast. It it very modernize and I love it. Only down side is that everything is shifting towards PC so not much games

Since the March update everything has been running very smooth and I think the greatest benefit from last generation to this is the solid state drive. Games load near-instantly. I am a bit disappointed in lack of 120fps games vs XSX, but moving from 30 -> 60 FPS was a huge leap and makes a huge difference. I can’t imagine the leap from 60 -> 120 is as big of a deal. Backward compatibility with ps4 is nice - lot of good games on sale for ps4. The few ps5 games I’ve played are incredible. Controller is the best for any console. UI is a preference thing but I do prefer Xbox UI. System feels well built, sturdy, premium, and most importantly WHISPER QUIET. Console design is a preference thing. Some folks like it some don’t.

The fact that you can play games up to 120hz on a console smoothely for this price is insane. The SSD makes the ps4 look like its 7 years old , which it is. This is the best console and a true definition of next gen.

I love the PS5. Super fast. Was super easy to buy through Best Buy. I absolutely love it. Going to try to buy another one for my brother when they post them for sale again. Good luck to everyone trying to get one.

I love my PS5. It is very beautiful and it is just a wonderful experience overall. Did shut down on me 2 times. People giving negative reviews even before it was released all because they don't have one or cant get one.

I own the Xbox Series X and now the PS5. The PS5 is definitely my go to system. Both have amazing graphics but the new Duelsense controller is what makes the PS5 truly a “next gen” system.

Must have next gen tech the PS5 is an incredible piece of hardware the next gen gaming experience is here and the Duel Sense controller is true magnificent Highly recommend it !
