Xbox user converting
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I grew up with a PS and PS2. At some point became an Xbox guy. But for years I always wanted to play a lot of the PS exclusive games and never did. I finally broke down and bought a PS5 to play The Last Of Us. They updated their controller to be much more pleasant and an easy transition from Xbox. The graphics are fantastic. The 4k blue-ray player is an awesome inclusion. I love it so much I want to rebuy games for PS just to play them with what I think are superior graphics. The only thing that I wish was better is the home media part of it. With my Xbox I could browse my computer and play movies on my tv over WiFi. I’m tech savvy and can’t figure out an easy way to do this with PS5. I have to put them on a thumb drive and plug into usb port. Not the end of the world, plays back great. But I hate spending the time loading the thumb drive, plugging it back in etc. Takes longer, transferring files.

The Real Deal
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This system is absolutely worth the wait (and money). Coming from a standard PS4 Slim, it has MAJOR improvements on visuals and user interface, and features are continually being rolled out (like Discord voice features and SSD upgrade compatability). Even on games I’ve played multiple times before on my PS4 (Resident Evil 2 Remake and Jedi: Fallen Order), it looks and feels like a massive graphical boost and improvement, and load times are practically nonexistent, even on huge world games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Hogwarts Legacy. The haptic triggers and vibrations are a major standout too. I’d highly encourage new players to play Astro’s Playground as the first thing they do. Not only is it the perfect tech demo that shows just how amazing the machine is, but it’s also just a downright fun and great game for free! It demonstrates features on the new PS5 controller that made me sad that developers haven’t used the controller’s capabilities to its full extent yet. It’s also got a lot for Playstation history lovers to discover! The only downside to the system is the default memory. It’s just not enough when you’d like to download all the PS5 versions of your favorite games. It’s especially tough for massive multiplayer games like any recent Call of Duty game or Destiny 2, so you have to be conservative until you get a new SSD to connect, which can cost anywhere between $150-$300. Other than that, the games are also $10 more than PS4 versions, which can really break the bank when you want to experience the best of the system. Pro tip: get a decent HDD for your PS4 games to help with your storage management! Over all, I love this system and I don’t regret getting it for a second. Prices will change, that’s the way the world works, but I haven’t had this much fun on a Playstation in years! Just get yourself an ethernet cable, set aside some funds for the games you want and storage upgrades, and get ready to be immersed in the future of gaming.

If you can, UPGRADE
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely a fast and sharp gaming system! The first thing you will notice when using it is load times. It drastically improved from the PS4. Would recommend this for anyone who has the means to upgrade from PS4! I was planning on getting the Digital Version, but am not disappointed with the disc version at all. Storage is a bit low for the size of games these days, but a new SSD or existing hard drive will help a ton!

Next gen console gaming at it’s best
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PS5 is a gaming monster that is more consumer friendly than the Xbox Series X. It is very easy to add any SSD that meets Sony’s requirements. Unlike Xbox which forces you to buy a seagate expansion SSD thats double the price of a SSD you can buy for PS5. The PS5’s SSD is also way faster than Xbox’s so games load a little quicker. You can buy different side plates for it. Games look and run BEAUTIFULLY on it. Especially insomniac’s Spider-Man series. Those games look so good on this console! PS5 has arguably better exclusives than Series X (Nintendo is the only first party developer than can give them a run for their money right now imo). The Dualsense controller is AMAZING. The haptics on it are out of this world. I don’t want this review to sound like console war bs. I own and love Series X and even Switch but when it comes down to next gen console gaming PS5 wins hand over fist. So if that’s your primary interest go with the PS5. Microsoft is much better about backwards compatibly and game pass is a better gaming catalog/streaming service than PlayStation’s PS Extra/Premium so only choose xbox over PS if you care more about that. The exclusivity advantage that PlayStation has may shrink now that games like avowed/ES6/and Fable are on the way but as of 2023 PS5 is still clearly the next gen King.

PS5 is a GREAT console.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My PS5 has performed very smoothly and I have had no issues with it. I do love the upgraded features that have improved upon the PS4 system features. The fast load times and amazing graphics are a definite plus. Though I do wish it came with more storage as with the storage on the system you will not be able to download a lot of the big-sized games. But overall, I definitely recommend this product.

Buy it yuh
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yea its great. Works really well, and runs so much better than my last console. I haven't had any issues with it so far and I've had it for about a month now. I can easily say its worth the purchase over a PS4 considering how much better both the load times and graphics are, its like I'm playing a whole different game sometimes. Highly recommend

Amazing!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the PS five about a month ago right out of the box. Nice and easy to use amazing graphics. Very quick lot of great updates. I haven’t an owned PS five since a PS3 switched from Xbox lotta great upgrades. Only thing I did add was add a Samsung 980 pro internal2 TB of memory of memory as PS five games take up a lot of space.

This console offers a breathtaking gaming experience that combines power, speed, and innovation like never before. First and foremost, the hardware is a technological marvel. The lightning-fast SSD significantly reduces loading times, allowing you to dive into your favorite games almost instantly. Next Gen Baby
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love my ps5, but my biggest gripe with it is it’s massive size. Whether laying flat or standing up it’s just a pain to have it properly displayed on my tv stand and position from where my tv is hanging. Graphic on this console are truly amazing and I’m so happy to be able to play such amazing Sony exclusive titles I missed out on from the ps4. The controller is a step up in technology as they have given you a new immersive experience with adaptive triggers and haptic feedback! Sometimes I feel like I’m more in sync with the game due to this feature and it’s made me buy more of my titles on the ps now. Overall my ps5 has been such an amazing experience, but getting around the size of it is the only issue. I In all honesty it’s a 4.5/5 for me but we can’t do halves on here.

Ps5 Is a great console
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ps5 is a great console, everything about it is an upgrade from the ps4, What really make it stand out is the Ssd, you can start and play Horizon forbidden west within 40 seconds, And other titles if optimized for it and the performance you get is also very good, unfortunately gamer devs do not know how to optimize games sometimes, some issues that could come up is controller drift, There’s still a possibility of that happening due to the controller design and the battery life can last 6-8 hours which is probably the most your gonna be gaming anyway, Another issue is the rumor for the ps5 pro…… I dont think That the ps5 pro is a good option over the base model, you cant go over 60fps if you don’t have a 120 Hz tv or monitor which will run you about 800$+ for a tv and if you want a 4k 120hz monitor that will run you about 600$ and higher, a bit cheaper but you sacrifice size, if you can’t afford that then your stuck with 60fps/Hz, so the pro would be useless other than 4k native 60 maybe,RDNA 2 Architecture is decent for what it is and if the pro model is getting RDNA 3, At that point build a pc cause you’re gonna get more vaule off a actual gpu with RDNA 3, other than those issues the Ps5 is a great console with great exclusive and a powerful APU.

Tons of fun!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ever since I got my PS5 I have been having nothing but fun I mean for some it may have some cons and pros for me it’s just been wonders! I’m just a PlayStation fan and have nothing bad to say about my PS5. All I can say is if your looking for something with tons of fun this is the console for you, it came with one controller yes I know we are all used to getting two but hey look at it this way not like your trying to be selfish but now you don’t have to share with no one wink wink… The life battery of the control does run out quick but with some modifications to the lighting on the controller it has helped tremendously to last longer. The console itself is awesome! It came with its stand to stand as it shows on the box, a usb charging cable for the controller and a HDMI cord, and its power cord. It does have a game called Astro Playroom such a cute and entertaining game honestly I had tons of fun with that game included, of course I did purchase a game separately, these are just what this console came with.

Long awaited and does not disappoint!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far this system has worked flawlessly. The graphics are great and the load times are consistent and fast. The only negative I have to say about this unit, however it does not warrant a star reduction, is this unit is huge and it is an eye-sore. You must make sure that you do not place this unit inside a cabinet and that there is enough ventilation as this unit does get hot quickly.

Gift to Me - Easy to Use
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, it’s strange that Best Buy knows I have this. This was actually bought for me as a gift from my boyfriend. Which I should point out we don’t share any accounts or anything. Yet Best Buy knows somehow that I own it. Anyways. I enjoy my PS5. It has the option to put a passcode to unlock which previously I had issues on my PS4 of my nieces getting on without my consent. Which as you can imagine led to games being played and things being bought (specifically in game like Fortnite vbucks being used). It’s quick to download and update games as needed. Downside is the storage. It’s not as big as my PS4. I also love the fact you can order covers to put on instead of the white. Also other downside it tends to put itself in rest mode once a day when I’m in the middle of a game. Which is weird. Like it’s happened when I was spectating without touching the controller. speaking of the controller it’s reactive(?) like playing call of duty the trigger button has more of a need to push in (like you can feel it being a little harder to push in.)

Its a PS5, its the perfect upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.what's not to like. UI is just as easy to navigate as PS4, incredibly fast load times, amazing graphics and the included HDMI is perfectly capable and as good as the more expensive cords I already owned. Harddrive space is limited so may need an upgrade if you play multiple games. My 9 year old is madly addicted to the included Astros playground game.
