The ever-scarce PlayStation 5. It is a major jump from the past generation, and one can see this in quality of games and performance speed. I've spent a lot of time on games like Demon's Souls and COD: Cold War, and I have enjoyed it all. But for a great leap in technology, there are still some areas that weren't quite to standard (for the hype at least). My PS5 has the dreaded "coil whine", a weird humming/buzzing sound that occurs while playing. The console randomly spins the disc drive for no reason, even if I'm not playing a game. The controller is a great piece of technology, but I've found that it is a bit too big for me (I have rather small adult hands). If you are able to get your hands on a PS5, just be aware of the issues that these first batch consoles may have.

How do I feel about the launch PS5? With all the trouble even finding one you're going to be better off with whatever iteration comes between this and the PS6. Issues with the console itself range from a lack of worthwhile exclusives and some frequent software issues I've experienced. I can only recommend this to early adopters and Sony fans who want to play the best versions of their exclusives or some multi generational ports. Otherwise just wait.
