I have to get used to physical design and there’s less account customization than the PS4 but overall this is amazing console and a worthy successor. The graphics are stellar. The new interface/Home Screen is simple but effective. The new dual sense controller is very innovative and I can’t wait to see its future in gaming. And last but not least the download speeds shook me with how fast they are; no more waiting all day to install a game or update.

First off, apologies to my fellow journeymen who are searching high and low. Keep trying... Best Buy seemed to be better planned with separated waves, so if you miss it the first go, wait and try again within the same hour or so (and beyond). P.s. use an app that alerts you of stock. Anyways... It's way bigger than I expected haha Be ready to find some a little extra space (bigger than your Ps4s). Transfer from PS4 is smooth and easy - just need to have wifi / lan ready. Had to do some extra research to find a monitor that would allow me to take advantage of the 120fps and the fake 4k 60hz. I hope they come up with the 1440p update so I can take advantage of the 1440p 120hz like the XBox. According to news the Sony dude said they would consider updating if there's enough interest from their customers (so make sure to find ways to let Sony know). Anyways, I opted for the 1440p 120hz monitor (won't say the brand) but let's just say it will be a mid range investment and eventually when our TV needs an upgrade I'll look at the LG CX or perhaps if the Sony X900s keep their promise with their VRR tech jump there. I've played through all my Ps4 games and seeing the difference. There's a little bit of fiddling to do with my new monitor at the 120fps and the different screen settings. Still unsure if it's more adjusting to do or if it's the monitor's capacity. Either way, at 120fps 1080 feels smooth i.e. Destiny 2. Look forward to trying COD and other 120fps games. That is all. I'm still weighing if my monitor (LG 27GN800-b) is worth keeping or changing. It's my first time having a 144hz gaming monitor I don't know how to set it up properly and what to expect so hard to say. Anyone else tried the LG 27GN800-b pair?

Absolutely perfect. Beautiful graphics. Lightning fast speed. Futuristic aesthetics. Dual sense is perfect.

Great console so far. I was surprised the controllers even needed updating right away but it has been rock solid. This thing never gets hot and the graphics are a worthy step up from the PS4 Pro that I also own. I also appreciate Best Buy making an email verification mandatory during purchase to stop all the bots buying all the inventory. You guys need a shout out for that one. Only reason I got mine was this second verification process. Thanks

Fire console. The new Dual Sense controller is an absolute game changer and imo the most immersive controller experience to date. The unit itself is very large pause so account for that. Included is a tech demo called Astros Playroom which is a gem of a game which shows off the new features of the controller. We were very surprised that it was included for free as Sony could have easily charged for a game of this caliber. Overall extremely satisfied so far.

The future of gaming! Have only played one dedicated PS5 game which was Ratchet and Clank and it looked beautiful. Excited for what is to come as more PS5 exclusive titles come out. The new controllers are nice and vibrate well. Wish the controllers were still black. Out of box easy to set up and use. Is much bigger than old playstations but looks are growing on me. If you can get hands on one I would recommend.

Great system runs smooth and has amazing graphics. Would definitely recommend.

A great successor to the mighty PlayStation 4. I’ve been enjoying Astro’s Playroom and many other PS5-upgraded PS4 games on Sony’s latest console and can’t wait to enjoy other PS5 games down the line. The DualSense controller may be the star of the show, however, with its haptic feedback and trigger resistance. When done well it can certainly elevate your PS5-gaming experience. All in all this is a solid console and would recommend it to anyone.

It was challenging to get (4 hours of hitting refresh plus 30 minutes to checkout), but Best Buy came through. It was actually ready for pickup a day earlier than estimated. Been using it for a couple weeks now and it is a nice upgrade from the PS4 Pro. Every PS4 game I've tried has worked, with smoother performance than before. And the new controller is outstanding. In you're in the hunt for one, good luck. You'll really enjoy it when you get it.

Fast and Easy to pick up, ps5 works great and nice and friendly employees

Coming from a launch model PlayStation 4, this is leaps and bounds ahead of where I was at. Although the games aren’t quite there yet they will catch up and in the meantime I can play all of my favorite PlayStation 4 games with backwards compatibility. The console itself is blazing fast with load times that are just leaps and bounds ahead of anything that I’ve seen before. Old PlayStation 4 games run great on this console. with much better performance.

I was really surprised I was able to grab one of these. I sat on my couch waiting for the drop on best buy and got lucky! Pick up was easy too. Over a year later and I still love this system. It's easy to use, sleek and stylish. I do miss being able to set themes on my system but I have been able to push that aside. I use it for everything, streaming and gaming.

Purchased two at Christmas for my son's. They are extremely pleased with the purchase. The quality is far more better than the past PS . I think we owned everyone thus far. I was surprised how large the console is compared to last ones. But as my tech sons explained they actually built this one correct with two fans and a lot of high quality in it. So according to them if you haven't snagged one of these yet keep trying because you are missing out!

Excellent next gen console. Huge leap from the PS4. Lucky to have gotten one. Runs quiet and smooth.

We were able to score one of these for Christmas for our son. The pickup process was super easy and they had it out to our car within 20 minutes on a busy close to Christmas shopping day. My son loves it and says its way better than the PS4. I don't really play it, but just watching him every so often the graphics and gameplay look fantastic. It looks like a movie at times. If any problems arrive I will update this review but looks great.

I really enjoyed this system. I love the Spider-Man Miles Morales game for this system it is excellent and very fun. The graphics are amazing and to feel of the controller is excellent. The only thing that I would improve on is actually getting one terabyte of memory because that 800 is enough.
