Honestly, I have this and the Xbox Series X. I much prefer the Xbox. And that's saying a lot since I pretty much exclusively played the PS4. The controller battery life is terrible on this thing. The interface is clunky. I guess it MIGHT be a little better than the Xbox in terms of look, but I'm not sophisticated enough to see that. The only real huge benefit that puts it to 2 stars instead of 1 is that it interacts with my Sony TV very well. But that's such a minor thing, it probably shouldn't elevate it. I don't think it's worth the money.

Overall good console. Playing gta5 on ps5 after years on ps4 is a major upgrade. Major downside is the controller which started to "drift" rather soon.

Not really using it games are expensive and we have to go onto PlayStation play to do anything

Good console but as of right now there isn’t a wow factor for me yet. It’s definitely worth a buy but I would waste a ton of time and resources looking for one until end of year or 2022.

The console is great when it's working. The console has a tendency of overheating and freezing. This could possibly be fixed in the future with a software update to increase the fan speed inside the ps5.

Unfortunately I owned this item for 2 weeks before it died on me. Went into Rest Mode and just never turned back on. Currently in the warranty process with Sony but definitely a bummer

It was quite difficult to order the PS5, but I truly lucked out because even with all the restocks certain retailers have had... it is still unbelievably hard to place the order.

Not really impressed with the hope everyone talked about this.

TLDR: fantastic console with incredible exclusives but advertising overdid it's capabilities along with lack of devs actually updating games to run better on the PS5 positives: way faster boot time than the PS4, games load faster than on my quite high end gaming PC, responsive menus, on ps5 games incredible performance great framerates amazing resolution and visuals, with a great controller despite some issues. Exclusives are phenomenal as usual, god of war Ragnarok is absolutely incredible, hell divers 2 is top notch, Spiderman is absolutely incredible. Without doubt puts Xbox exclusives especially of this generation to shame. The bad: the advertising PlayStation put out was blatantly false at times, as much I love the PS5 I don't think there's a game on this planet that's maintenance that it can run at 4k 120fps, 8k despite being advertised to my knowledge is not an option on a single mainstream game. Menus are far more complicated than need be and the PlayStation for multiple years post launch was an absolute nuisance to navigate. To Sonys defense though that is no longer an issue and menus and the PlayStation store is super fluid and works as it should. Lastly multiple generations of controlers get absolutely horrific stick drift I'm talking you start running in circles when you press forward type stick drift not just with low dead zone you move a little. Again new controller models do seem much better but if you're unlucky and have a older model like me you'll most likely have issues and have to buy a new one.

I love the system, I hate the way you guys made the releases of the system. It was a living hell trying to order one.

well it was working for about 3-4 months after i got it, and in mid april it just stopped working out of nowhere and i was never able to get a new ps5 and i’m not happy about it.

They hyped these products up way too much man... They are not that much better!

Come on you dont neee a review to know whats a ps5 lol we should review what best buy is doing to make sure we can buy this console thats the reason of my 3 stars

The PS5 is good, no question. But I really feel like the Xbox Series X is superior and is a more fun gaming experience.

Its a good console without a doubt PlayStation puts out good quality but still has to catch up to xbox as far as graphics and performance.

After hours and hours of waiting and racing with people online to purchase this for my son we had more than a few problems with it.

Box was damaged on the top, a big hole formed. Looked like something pierced it. Luckily everything was ok, but I couldn't ask for another PS5 because of the shortage.

Not worth the hype. .

Got our PS5 disc console and it stopped working after 3 days. Took multiple phone calls and redoing troubleshooting with support even though it had already been done by me and over the phone with other agents. Then they say they don’t know when we will get it back. I also bought a digital edition cause I was told it could play same games as disc console so I wouldn’t have to buy separate games for different kids and the only way is with remote play but digital user has full control of disc console so only one can play at a time.

ps4 with a new skin. Nothing crazy nothing new rather stick to an oculus quest 2. Consoles are getting pretty outdated there need to be a bigger change.
