Bought this ps5 console and had to return it. Internal fan would not operate causing the console to overheat. Now i have to wait for another one to become available, Who knows when. Went from being the best grandpa to soso. Not really.

I was lucky enough to get this on launch day from playstation direct website. I'm on here writing a review so you guys know this console is legit. My favorite thing about it is the controller. Everyone is right when they say it's a gamechanger for your videogame experience. The adaptive triggers definitely make it feel much more immersive. People are worried about the cons of this console "overheating" and such but yes, the console is massive. Honestly, the biggest console I've ever dealt with. Vertically, the console looks amazing how it glows at night and just the overall look of it. My friend uses it horizontally and it does the job as well but remember it is huge so make sure you have space for it. I'd recommend keeping the console OUT of an entertainment center and out in the open to allow proper ventilation for the console. The console runs super quiet, it's very fast, yesterday (11/17/20) a new firmware update was released to fix some of the "problems" users have been experiencing but I've yet to have any issues with mine in those regards. Controller is amazing, microphone on it is great if you chat with friends. UI is very refreshing with the dynamic themes as you hover over your games in the home screen. Everything just feels great, I don't know how else to explain it. I'd say the only thing I don't like about the console is just it's size. It's just a little too big in my opinion but I'm sure down the line, when they release a "slim" version and/or "pro" version, it'll be smaller/compact. I'd def recommend this console to anyone. Keep trying every day to land one and once it's yours, it'll make you feel like a new person all over again. Enjoy!

To many bugs freezes alot loses connection. I tried connecting using a enthernet cable it does not work it keeps losing connection only works on wifi. When I play a game it freezes in the middle it has to many bugs. The controllers die way to fast I would say wait and let the bugs get fixed

Overall the process to receive this console was very dreadful. I purchased it on September and on release date It took a week and a half to arrive. Payment for the preorder was very confusing and made the impression that you paid for the console twice. However console is working fine for now.

Have had for over a year and the system is already making load processing sounds (just after warranty is up). Also there really aren’t any true next gen games yet and the systems been out for 2yrs. Only gave a 2, because for some reason my son enjoys it.

Had it a month and now the hdmi will not pickup on the tv input.

Wish their wasn’t a mix up in my order end up getting a call saying they have the disc version instead of the digital . The mix up was on Best Buy part idk why I should have to pay the difference in the two when I order the digital . Or couldn’t just reorder digital over again smh
