First off, this is my 2nd PS5. I had acquired my first on Day 1. Many issues have been fixed such as games crashing, sleep mode issues, etc. I have not had any issues in a long while and am comfortable putting my console in sleep mode now. Now - is it worth it? Should I get the Xbox instead? The ‘PlayStation vs Xbox’ debate will always be around. My advice for if you should get a PlayStation or Xbox is – pick the games you want to play, and get the console you can play it on. If you only want to play Halo, don’t get a PlayStation obviously. The PlayStation 5 is good, but it’s not ‘everyone must have one’ good. Sony may say otherwise, be careful who you listen to. As of now, the game selection is still minimal... but they've got tons of great games coming up. The 'stock' is still very tough to get at a retail outlet. Heck, it's still mostly online ordering and they sell out in seconds even here on BestBuy. The PS5 is worth $499, but not $799. Be patient, you won't miss much by not getting your console now rather than a few months or even a year from now. It's not worth rewarding scalpers for an item like this.
