Great system!!! Unfortunately it took 2 tries to get there. First one I got was riddled with errors and was basically unplayable. Luckily, Best Buy had one put aside just in case a system was returned and I was lucky enough to be able to exchange! Second system is perfect!

The playstation 5 is awesome, as expected but this review is really about Best Buy’s service. They have dealt with this high demand launch better than any other store. The few at at time release and bot protection was really well thought out and the fairest way to go about such a high demand launch. Thank you Best Buy for caring for your customers! I’ve had an awesome experience and will be a customer forever now!

Love the new system, screaming fast, the Disc Edition is a much needed added bonus.

Camped out for this marvelous PS5 back in september. It was an experience i would never forget. I was worried that i wouldn't get the one that i wanted but after camping out for 10 hrs i secured a playstation 5 at retail price. 4 months in and its still working correctly with no issues. Hopefully the stock issues get fixed and people can buy at their leisure.

This console runs really fast and the higher refresh rate makes the games look amazing.

Got the PS5 because my PS4 was on it's last legs. And I'd heard lots of great things about it. The one thing I heard nothing about was the lack of an audio out. This is a major issue to me. I have a nice surround sound system set up and loved hearing the cracking branches of who knows what sneaking up behind me or passing vehicles in any direction. That is gone now. At first when I thought I was stuck with only my TV's speakers alone, I was really mad. Then I found an optical out on the back of my TV. Great! Problem solved. No, no it's not. Now I am able to get stereo sound though my system, but not the 7.1 that I love. And on top of that, some loud noises, explosions, wind gusts or just people talking loud sometimes, I get horrible popping and crackling! Sure, that is probably the TV's electronics causing all that, but the PS2, 3 and 4 all had an optical out which gave great, clean, clear and crisp sound. Why on earth did Sony think it was an acceptable loss and decide not to include such an important basic system? Now I'll have to find some adaptor to split the HDMI signal to send the audio to my sound system and hope it works better than my TV's apparently limited option. Then I'll have to hope it works after shelling out another stack of cash. Besides that, it's a great new system and I love it. But it's a sight and sound device, I am really disappointed that they neglected half of that. I felt as if I had bought and sweet new car and when they delivered it, it had no suspension. "What the bleep am I supposed to do with this!" was my first thought when I realized what was missing. So be aware, unless you don't care about quality sound, you're in for a big let down. It has really knocked my confidence and trust in Sony. They should have known better. After all, they started out as an audio company and have sold some of the best equipment you could get for years. Ok, my rant is over, I hope this heads up is helpful to you. I also hope Sony reads this and decides to add the capability back in to a future version!

2 great things. 1st, the person who handed this off to me was friendly and positive even after probably a long hard day, and I only waited a few minutes at my lot for curbside pickup. 2 Best Buy in general for providing an average guy the opportunity to order a PS5 in high demand, who failed many times with other retailers because bots were buying out stock too quickly to compete with. Thank you, I will remember.
