It's such a natural upgrade from the PS4 with all its backward compatibility and ability to download many PS4 games for free through PSPlus. The new features aren't world changing, but there is a clear advancement in technology. Make sure that your TV hardware can support all of the PS5 features (e.g. HDR TV, 4K, etc.)
