    Performance Bump from Base PS4

PS5 is a nice bump from base PS4. The performance boost in graphics, CPU, and load times are much appreciated. However, do not know how it compares to a newer PS4 or PS4 Pro. Might not be worth it as much as transferring from base PS4.

It was tough getting this bad boy. Luckily I had subscribed to Matt Swider's Twitter alert as well as Jake Randall explaining the checkout process in his youtube videos. I received a notification that there was a restock and boom! I was able to check out painlessly. PS5 is a beast of a machine. It's BIG and it looks futuristic. The controllers are completely redesigned and it not like the "rumble packs" of the past. The feedback you get is immediate and depending on what's happening on the screen, you get a different sensation. the R1 and R2 trigger weight will vary depending on what you're doing. Sometimes the pressure is light and other times you can feel the resistance. Ratchet and Clank drift apart really shows the graphical performance power of the PS5.

Purchased both the Series X and PS5 at launch, and while the X feels like an upgrade, the PS5 actually FEELS next gen. Love the new controller, and although the system is huge, it looks nice in vertical position. If you see it in stock, buy it!

Next gen of gaming is here. Games look fantastic and the system is super fast. The controller features are worth the hype and PlayStation is my favorite place to play. The headache of actually getting one is super worth it.

    Storage hurts This AMAZING Console

First off the packaging for the amount of money being paid is cheap. The outside sleeve is so flimsy if you are too aggressive with it will rip, so if you plan on reselling the console just be careful. That one reason why I give it 4 stars instead of 5. The other reason is the storage is so pitiful I basically paid for a 500gb console the storage you get out the box is 667gb playable from the 825gb advertised. Now I have heard and seen from other people that trying to transfer over and use PS4 games from the extended storage will brick your console, so just wait until Sony comes with a patch to fix that issue before you use the extended storage PS4 games. Transfer all your PS4 content via ethernet cable is the way to go because if you choose to go the wifi route good luck because it will take about 20hrs depending on your internet speeds. The ethernet cable is soooo much faster and easier to do. Now that all that is out the way I freaking love this console, it is soooo quiet, everything is an upgrade except the storage but someday you will be able to expand that on your own because Sony made that easy to access. The UI is going to take some time to get used to but I like it but I also liked the PS4 UI too. It is a learning curve. The DualSense controller is amazing and I can't wait for developers to fully implement that technology into its games, it seriously is a game changer. This console is huge I mean massive so make plenty of space for it. I couldn't get it in my entertainment center vertically so I had to put it on top with the tv and soundbar. I really hope everyone who wants one or is actively trying to get one is able to at some point because scalpers are garbage and I really feel bad for those who are having a hard time getting one. Also I know and recognize the Pandemic has changed the way we buy these consoles but Sony and Microsoft really dropped the ball on how to properly and safely getting these consoles in the hands of consumers. Every game launch is hectic but this was so ridiculous on so many levels and the bots/scalpers/scammers just ruined the experience for alot of people and shame on BOTH companies for allowing it. But the console is AWESOME and like I said in the beginning 4 stars instead of 5 for those issues above. I highly recommend it but maybe wait because I know the issues have to be ironed out first and plus they are going to drop a console in a few years with more storage and slimmer, Mark my words.

Super fast, best console out there. It loads games in seconds and looks amazing. Don’t even get me started on the controller you can fell anything you imagine such as felling the rain when it rains or when you walk in the grass.

I’ve only played two PS5 games so far (Astros Playroom which is the “default” game to get you familiar with everything the controller can do, and Demon’s Souls). But man, are they amazing. The graphics and sound are both incredible. And the various types of interactions you can have with the controller are really fun and I’m excited to see how game developers will be able to build around these capabilities going forward. I was pleased with how easy it was to move over my games from PS4 as well. The setup guide walked me through everything and I was able to be back playing Nioh 2 shortly after getting everything set up. Overall the upgrade process was seamless, the graphics and sound are amazing, and the controller has a bright future. If you can get one I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

King of consoles, the SSD makes this thing load games blazingly quick, and everything runs smooth and looks fantastic. I'd suggest getting an additional SSD for storage. The built-in store fills up pretty fast.

SSD makes a huge difference. I used to wait minutes to load a portion of the game and now it's just seconds. While the jump in graphics is not much, it is a very powerful machine. I can't wait for new games to come out in 2021.

I’m impressed by ps5 and what it offers. it’s worth upgrading to the disk version if you want to watch blu rays and having physical copies of the game. Pros: -great performance/picture -plays both ps4 and ps5 games - has disk drive to play blu rays -console stays cool and mostly quiet compared to ps4. Cons: -Newly released consoles initially come with some technical issues such as crashing/freezing that hopefully updates will fix. -Storage is ridiculously small...so you’ll have to buy an expansion drive. -Disk drive can be a bit loud.

This console adds so much to my theater setup, it is effectively the center piece of my tv stand. It is fast, and most of all fun to play. The only downside is the storage capacity, at 825GB, less than that usable, you will definitely need extra storage

Great console! Really enjoy the upgraded graphics and speeds of next gen. Games load faster and the 60 fps boost makes it hard to ever go back to last gen. The dual sense controller is very unique in its vibrations too!

Great start to the new generation very easy to set up. Much quieter than the ps4. If I had to complain about anything it'd be the small amount of storage not a huge problem now but will be soon if we don't get expandable storage options

Just. Amazing. The controller is the star of the show here. Astros Playground (free game included with all PS5 systems) will show you just how much these various types of rumble and tension features changes the game. Stepping on glass, rolling through gravel, rain falling, traversing through sand, running on metal, etc ALL FEEL DIFFERENT and accurate. It's hard to explain, but it's just next level. Controller also comes with a mic built in and a speaker, so it's usable to chat with friends if you don't have a headset at the moment. The mic sounds really good, pretty impressive actually, but the speaker could have been better/louder. Framrate and load times on older (PS4) games are awesome too. A lot of games are coming out with free ps5 upgrades that allow you to take advantage of 4k and 120/60 fps.

Incredible graphics & speed. Definitely difficult to get but got lucky. My biggest complaint is amount of storage space for games. Hope Sony has plans for adding more. Until then, I’ll continue running Samsung 1T external SSD.
