I just got my PS5 today and anyone considering buying one whenever they're available I highly recommend it. Please ignore people who are saying PC is better or the new XBox is superior, each does what it sets out to do.....allow YOU to play the games you want to play. As for the controller, it's freaking awesome and weird at the same time. Playing Astrobot you can feel the bots that jump in the onscreen controller move around in your actual controller. As for the adaptive triggers that is a nice touch, the triggers kind of lock in place during the game and you have to apply various degrees of pressure to push them all the way in. They're redesign was a great choice. Also comparing to previous PS controllers these feel like their made with quality and well worth their price tag. Also for those lying about overheating, that happened ONLY at BB kiosks because they were in an enclosed container with no air flow. With proper airflow this system is 100% fine. Now regarding the apparent bricking of them I can only say from what I've read it has to do with using an external USB drive, if it's even true. Use common sense and ask yourself would Sony or Microsoft build a new system and NOT test this feature before final production? In any case if you want a PS5 then be patient and grab one when lowlifes stop using bots to buy them all up or when companies block that kind of tactic. If you prefer Xbox cool story bro, go get your xbox and enjoy the heck out of it and if you swear by pc, then awesome. We have enough crap going on in the world right now and enough hatred for several lifetimes. Enjoy whatever you enjoy and let others do the same.

Great system just wish it came with more onboard storage as the games can be very large in size.

The PlayStation 5 is a welcome upgrade from the PlayStation 4. Game visuals and horsepower on the new system are great as well as the quicker load times and snappier UI. The increased resolution and frame rate for many of the new games is easy to appreciate provided you have a TV that can take advantage of the upgrades. The redesigned controller adds to what was already great about it’s predecessor while doing away with some of it’s flaws (like poor battery life due to the always on and not so useful light). The built-in microphone is nice for chatting with friends when you’re too lazy to dig out your gaming headset. Sony did skimp on hardware storage which will not get you far with many modern games. You can use an external drive, but load times will not be as fast and the system seems to be a little glitchy when using an external HDD for some users, causing them to have to reformat their drives. In more rare cases, the external HDD can PS5 to crash and/or fail. The system still is a little rough around the edges. For instance, it could be argued that the UI could use some refinements. Overall though, the system has a lot of potential, there just aren’t a lot of PS5 games to play yet. Fortunately, the PS5 can play most every PS4 game, which should help early adopters pass the time until the system’s first/next killer app is released. Bottom line is the PS5 is great for gaming enthusiasts, well worth the hassle of actually getting your hands on one. But, to those who have not been successful in finding/buying the PS5, you’re not missing much yet.

This thing is certainly a beast when compared to all other consoles, but it's so much quieter than the PS4 when running full bore. I noticed that it does produce a lot of heat when placed in a semi-enclosed space, but I don't think it'll be a problem. Other than that, playing games on the PS5 have a much quicker response time than the PS4 and when paired with a proper 4K tv and HDMI 2.1 with 120htz at 60fps and HDR, games look amazing!

My only disappointment with the PS5 is the overall storage capacity which is 825GB but you really only can use 667GB for games which is a real bummer. If you have a PS4 with any game discs you have to store those games on a external hard drive to have enough space on your PS5. There’s really not a whole lot of PS5 games available to play as of yet. The graphics are great and the dual sense controller is a great upgrade.

It's a PS5! Not a lot of new titles to show off it's capabilities yet.. but it was easy to wirelessly transfer a bunch of my older PS4 games over to it at setup.. and the few new gen games I've played for it, like Demon Souls look incredible! The controller's new haptic feedback feature is fantastic.. it's hard to believe they were able to improve on the PS4 controller. Can't wait to see what the new generation of games looks like.

What can I say other than it’s AMAZING. I know they are difficult to find at the moment, but if your lucky to get one, the PS5 won’t disappoint. With is super fast hard drive it will seem like night and day going from a PS4 to a Ps5 when it comes to load times. Games look stunning and the haptic feedback controllers feel great, a lot more premium feel than the old Ps4 controllers.

Great but scared of Controller Drift

    Posted .

The PS5 is beautiful, it handles many games very well, and it even looks good while doing that. Don’t buy that thick fridge (Xbox series x) buy the PS5. The only reason I switched to Play Station is because Sony doesn’t charge 15 bucks a month for me to play with my friends! Who pays money to play with their friends? Anyways, the PS5 is supposed to be next gen but I don’t have a next gen tv. It runs 60 FPS very smoothly on Fortnite. It was worth the wait. I spend months trying to get this. Parents, if your kids are begging you for this, it is a steal. This console isn’t even worth 400! Sony is at loss, and we have win! (Disclaimer) So, the controller has something called controller drift, I don’t know how to explain it so just search up PS5 CONTROLLER DRIFT. I am scared that it will hit me hard and I am not willing to bay seventy dollars for a new controller so I’m hoping that Sony will send new ones and take the defective ones. If you got all the way down here, have a good day!

The PS5 is a huge upgrade of the consoles that came before it. Using a super fast SSD for storage, loading times are almost gone completely. Visually, the system can push much higher fidelity visuals than the PS4, but this may be less noticeable depending on the TV you use. The controller is a huge leap forward in technology and when a game takes advantage of it, there is a huge leap forward in immersion.

This is a long awaited review after a year. I was so lucky to be able to pick this up during a stock drop. My PS5 is still going strong. It's silent and barely makes any noise except for the occasional disc check if you have one in the drive. Everything loads super fast. I can't ever go back to a PS4. I recently just upgraded and added a M2 ssd as well. Can't get any better!

Finally got it about three weeks ago. I love this thing. So many user interface improvements over the PS4 system. One step back, a small one, is having to go into the system settings to upload or download game save files instead of the faster method from the dashboard. Loading is so much faster. We have a Samsung 4k hdr smart TV and the games look amazing on it. If you can get a hold of a PS5, it's definitely worth it.

Finally got one! Sony has to do better job w/ the memory storage. I dont like the fact that i have to spend additional for something that should be already be included. The size of the system is also too bulky. Other than that, great speed and graphics

PS5 is awesome. Much faster, cleaner graphics. A huge upgrade. Would like more storage space though. Digital only has some limitations and doesn't open you up to picking up a cheap game that's a few years old. You're locked into paying whatever the digital cost is instead of getting a game in a few years at a garage sale or something like that. Not a big deal though, still 5 stars for a great console.
