In all honesty, my experience has been below average for a next gen console. I'm Playing nothing but PS4 games at this point. And you need a tv with an HDMI 2.1 port in order to use 120hz. The upscale is nice when playing on a 4k tv but a PS4 pro can do the same thing. Also, my 65inch tv supports freesync and the PS5 does not but my Xbox one from 10 years ago does... How does that make sense? I should have bought an Xbox series X. The PS5 was one of the biggest hype trains of 2020

I felt like thanos when he was collecting his stones when the ps5 finally dropped, besides the shortage issue Best Buy dealt with their drops flawlessly.

Nothing too exciting for next gen consoles. Limited games with ps5 upgrade. Only thing worth playing is the Spiderman and Demon Souls. PC still runs better for most games.

TLDR: fantastic console with incredible exclusives but advertising overdid it's capabilities along with lack of devs actually updating games to run better on the PS5 positives: way faster boot time than the PS4, games load faster than on my quite high end gaming PC, responsive menus, on ps5 games incredible performance great framerates amazing resolution and visuals, with a great controller despite some issues. Exclusives are phenomenal as usual, god of war Ragnarok is absolutely incredible, hell divers 2 is top notch, Spiderman is absolutely incredible. Without doubt puts Xbox exclusives especially of this generation to shame. The bad: the advertising PlayStation put out was blatantly false at times, as much I love the PS5 I don't think there's a game on this planet that's maintenance that it can run at 4k 120fps, 8k despite being advertised to my knowledge is not an option on a single mainstream game. Menus are far more complicated than need be and the PlayStation for multiple years post launch was an absolute nuisance to navigate. To Sonys defense though that is no longer an issue and menus and the PlayStation store is super fluid and works as it should. Lastly multiple generations of controlers get absolutely horrific stick drift I'm talking you start running in circles when you press forward type stick drift not just with low dead zone you move a little. Again new controller models do seem much better but if you're unlucky and have a older model like me you'll most likely have issues and have to buy a new one.

Overhyped, you would think performance would be much better given the time it took for it to come out. Honestly looks/feels like a v2 ps4 then a next gen console.

Quick machine, but bad, advertising-first UI, and lack of controller options for PS5 games since you can't use your old ones (even those expensive pro controllers).

Honestly love my PS5 but sadly it is glitching. Already in contact with Sony for a repair or replacement but BestBuy did amazing with the release and curbside pick-up.

The sealed tape on the box is popped and the person that brought for us didn't tell us that the sealed is popped.. but its fine as long as its not been opened!!

Not impressed with the graphics. I was expecting much more. Especially after seeing some of the other games. The football and basketball games were disappointing.

Xbox is better tbh, Spider-Man is the only reason to buy ps5

Certain discs are loud when powering on system. There are no games out for this console. Launch was poorly executed. Sony needs to do better, this is lazy.

I wish they can stop the bots from buying them it’s annoying for people to purchase them. Please upgrade your software and address. That’s why I give it a 3 star

The features and gameplay is awesome but my system kept crashing. It crashed for good so I had to swap it out for another one. I haven’t had any issues since.

No exclusive games so no real reason to buy unless you just want the tech.

New system lacks many games but outside of that it has backwards comparability which gives it an edge over ps4 and ps3 a must buy for console gamers

I dont like the 600GB storage.. sad really... I sold it and picked up the Xbox Series X and im happy honestly

Meh, over rated gaming system. Bought it and was bored with it within a week. Sticking to pc gaming

I use this literally every day. At first glance this generation’s graphics might seem like only a marginal improvement, but the real change is in playing games in 4K (or at a higher frame rate with a lower resolution). The dualsense controller, however, feels like the future. The feedback and sounds it creates make games so immersive. The console also doubles as a 4K bluray player so if you’re like me you will end up having a second expensive hobby to pair with gaming. Buy the disc version—won’t regret it.
