I own a fat PS5 and an Xbox Series X, and had the money to upgrade to this console. The price is cery high, so it is not for everyone in that regard, but also in what the console provides. The console offers more power in both of the consoles I mentioned, and it is quite noticeable with a 4k tv, as the games in quality mode are incredibly crisp, something that the regular PS5 struggle to do so a lot compared to the Xbox Series X, and takes it to a higher level compared to the Series X, but the most noticeable power increase from both consoles are in the performance modes in games, 60 fps as usual with these consoles, but with far more features from the quality mode as a higher upscaled 4K and some extra bits in some games like Ray Tracing. And to hardcore competitive gamers, this console goes a lot higher than 80-90 FPS in most fps games. Overall, if you have the money and a 4K and or 120hz TV or monitor, yes- and if you are patient, maybe wait for the PS6, but even then, seeing the PS4 still kept alive, getting any PS5, specially this one, doesn’t seem like a bad choice.

I noticed significant performance differences in comparison to the Base PS5. The processor and fan are much more efficient, and the storage base is a bit larger than the PS5. Loading screens obviously load much quicker. I recommend playing the PS5 Pro Enhanced titles like KCD2, Balders Gate 3, and Dead Island 2.

Performance Upgrades The hardware improvements are substantial. The GPU delivers roughly 45% faster rendering than the base PS5, with significantly more compute units and faster memory. The doubled storage capacity is genuinely appreciated since modern games can easily exceed 200GB. PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution), Sony's AI-powered upscaling technology, is the real differentiator. When implemented properly, it's impressive. Games like Spider-Man 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered deliver sharp 4K visuals at 60fps with enhanced ray tracing. The difference from the base PS5 is immediately noticeable, textures look sharper, reflections feel realistic, and performance remains smooth. Enhanced ray tracing performs 2-3 times faster than the base model, creating substantially better lighting and shadows without performance penalties. For anyone with a quality 4K TV or high refresh rate monitor, the visual improvements are clear. That compromise between quality and performance modes essentially disappears here. Significant Issues The lack of included disc drive and vertical stand feels like nickel-and-diming customers on an already expensive console. The digital-only default forces complete reliance on PlayStation Store pricing, eliminating cheaper physical or used game options. PSSR has real problems in certain titles. The PS5 itself is incredible with lightning fast load times, stunning graphics, and an overall next level gaming experience that truly lives up to the hype. On top of that, the service at Best Buy was excellent. The staff was knowledgeable, efficient, and made the purchase process smooth and stress free during a busy holiday season. Great product, great service, and a purchase I am very happy with.

If you have a large 4k VRR TV you will appreciate this console a lot. The picture quality is amazing with supported games, standouts are all the Spiderman games and Horizon. Other games with un-capped frame rate options benefit greatly like Elden Ring, allowing you to run it in its quality mode at much higher fps. However, if you have a 48in 4k TV, or a 1080p TV and just want a console, I would go with the standard PS5, as it will be harder to distinguish the visual upgrades. There are some games that use better fidelity effects with the improved hardware, but most of what this console is about is delivering a sharper image with better performance.

Purshased the ps5 pro because i heard alot of good things about it. Coming from PC with a intel i9, 4080 graphics card i really doubted the ps5 was gonna impress me but mannn. It trully did im playing fornight, and this new season has alot of detail graphics and the ps5 pro is playing it at 170fps the highest i saw it go to a steady 135fps and the box says it only play up to 120fps. So the fact is playing way higher is really impressive. Note i play it on a 65 inch LG G5 TV and for it to play on such a big tv desplaying so high FPS is insane to me.

This is best gaming console on the market - plenty of power in a familiar form factor. Smaller than original PS5, easy to add SSD (although you already have 2tb out of the box), all the existing accessories going to work without issues. A number of enhanced games you can play right now. If you don't have a dedicated gaming computer or laptop - this is the way to go. Downsides - nothing additional in the box, for example - if you need a vertical stand - you will have to buy it. No regrets from my side in buying it - easy plug and play solution for my needs.

This console is great; you can really notice the difference when playing any game. It doesn't get too hot or make too much noise, and it's also much smaller than the standard console! It's very good!

Love the PlayStation 5, all digital. You don’t have to collect all the discs for games. The look is different than the older models. The graphics are insane. It’s got a lot to choose from for free games and to purchase. My kids absolutely love it!

I had the first PlayStation 5 version when it was released, and it was a great console that lasted me a long time. Then, the PlayStation 5 Pro was announced, and I knew I had to get it. The additional storage is fantastic, and the improved graphics and gaming experience are a huge plus. I genuinely enjoy playing on it. I wish we had gotten a better controller, though. The DualSense controller is great, but I’m sure it will need to be replaced as the sticks start to drift. Other than that, I’m very happy with my PlayStation 5 Pro.
