    Best Gaming Console

This is hands down the best gaming console you can get today. Yes, it’s pricey compared to other options, but it delivers on its promises. It’s also rumored to be the unofficial console of choice for the upcoming highly anticipated GTA VI. Why is that exciting? PlayStation’s Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) is getting an update soon this year just before some other heavy hitter games. PSSR has been great, delivering what consoles of this generation have promised but failed to do: 4K gaming with high frame rates consistently. It’s genuinely impressive how well the AI in PSSR works to deliver outstanding detail. And this is coming from a former Xbox fanboy. The Series X didn’t excite me anymore and I felt like Sony was cooking up something good with the PS5 Pro. I’m definitely satisfied. Can’t wait for PSSR to release as it’s said to upgrade older games as well and improve further on clarity and boost frame rates. This year will be amazing for console gaming.

PS5 Pro is worth the upgrade, even if you disagree

Gave my nephew my old ps5 as a gift and I upgraded to the ps5 pro, and lets say its worth the upgrade. God of War Ragnarok and other ps5 pro enhanced games feel like PC upgrades. One thing to keep in mind not all PS4 or PS5 games have pro enhanced patches yet so some games will still run as they did before. I'm the type of person that pays attention to the tiny details and want to get the best out of my Alienware monitor which this ps5 pro does. I'm definitely happy with my purchase. Comes with 2 TB which is much needed since a lot of games take up a lot of space.

Coming from the launch edition console i don’t really notice a difference in performance i only upgraded cause of the price and needed more memory. I can say its quieter and it doesn’t come with a disc drive sold separately and sony doesn't have any plates yet for it and the ones they do have are sold out at the time

Definitely a noticeable upgrade from the PS5, especially with the PSSR update. The price has gotten ridiculous for consoles, but with the PS6 seemingly being delayed for a few years, I decided to upgrade from my PS5. The horizontal "stand" is a joke. 2 cheap clips that cause the console to still wobble. For the price, Sony should be ashamed. The stand that came with the PS5 was much better. The clips work well enough, but what this cost we deserved better. Otherwise I'm happy with it overall.

[Employee of bestbuy] I love my pro, it's an upgrade from my original disk edition PS5, everything runs much smoother and there's more storage.

    I'm a gamer, I've owned a PS1, a PS2, a PS4 and a PS5, now I'm glad to say that I own the PS5 pro, I've also owned a PS4 pro. The PS5 pro is amazing. It's faster, better graphics, everything loads quickly. Thank you.

Some people think it’s not worth getting since it was originally a minimal upgrade from non pro model. Now that PSSR2 is out, this thing blows the base model out of the water. The graphics increase for games like Space Marine 2 or Crimson Desert are amazing. I upgraded from the original PS5. The increased storage space alone is worth it given the price of NVME drives these days. Also paired with PSVR2, playing No Man’s Sky with PSSR2 enabled is so cool.

I previously broke my 2020 Ps5 and ended up getting the ps5 pro, honestly it has a bunch of storage I can have multiple games installed at once which is very nice. It's slimmer and definitely a lot less heavier!

Great performance. Allows higher graphical fidelity at the same frame rates than the standard PS5. It also hits 120fps in more games.

I managed to grab a PS5 Pro before the recent price increase and I am so glad I did! The upgrade in image quality was immediately apparent. I am currently playing Silent Hill 2 and it also runs much smoother on the Pro. In my opinion it was worth the $700 - $750 price for the upgrade. Is it worth the current price of $900? Personally, I would pony up the cash if I didn't own a PS5, but I wouldn't upgrade to the Pro from the base model at that price.

A nice upgrade over my base ps5. Runs very quiet and takes up less space. Pricey, but should last many years.

I have used a standard PS5 since launch and always told myself the pro couldn't be that big of a difference and I didn't need it. I was wrong the difference visually is INSANE. Playing games like Ghost of Yotei in 4K on this has blown me away. At on point I found myself just staring at each individual flower and blade of grass in the field. If you can afford the upgrade and you're on the fence DO IT. I have not regretted it one bit.

    PS5 – A Beast of a Console

I picked up my PS5 from Best Buy and let me tell you this thing rips. The graphics are wild, load times are practically nonexistent, and the DualSense controller? Feels like magic in your hands. Even when I’m not playing the latest AAA game, I’m deep in The Binding of Isaac, and it runs buttery smooth. No lag, no delays just pure, chaotic dungeon-crawling bliss. I didn’t think I’d notice a difference on an “older” indie game, but even that feels upgraded. Best Buy made it super easy to grab one and I couldn’t be happier. Whether you’re into cinematic blockbusters or cursed basement roguelikes like me the PS5 is 100% worth it.

The PS5 Pro is pretty good. I get a stable 60 fps in most games. The Spider Man series are the only games where my system can achieve more than 60 fps and still look visually stunning. I just don't think the added $200 is worth those upgrades. This system needs a specification bump on the CPU to at least 5 ghz while maintaining its 8 cores. More RAM wouldn't hurt either. However at that point one might as well build or buy a mid-range PC. I would recommend the PS5 pro as a guilty pleasure purchase.

With pssr 2 this console becomes a must have if your looking to future proof without going all in on the next gen consoles coming next. I will add a bit of caution as to how much mileage youll get based on the fact that the price now generally makes this an luxury item. Is it leaps and bounds better than a ps5, not for most people. I upgraded when they were offering 350 for a base ps5 around the holidays so i took advantage. Would i have bought it outright, probably not.
