Haven’t had any issues with the pro and would recommend for someone who looking to upgrade their ps5 gaming experience but I would recommend having a higher end TV to support the ps5 pro capabilities.

So these bad reviews are from people that dont even have the ps5 pro,but are giving usless opinions. The ps5 pro is a great system this upgrade is almost a next gen upgrade,so consider this, the ps4 pro was 4.2 TFlops of compute power, when ps5 game out it was 10.2 TFlops, thats 6 Tflops more than the ps4 pro,the ps5 pro is 6.5 Tflops more of the yotal of 16.7 TFlops, so thats literally almost a next gen upgrade, without a cpu upgrade, but the total power is there.. the xbox series x galaxy version is 2TB more space for $100 less than the pro.. ehich yes its expensive cause of price the hike.besides that the system isngood for whoever wants more power..so far i test 10 games and they all run really good. So if you dont have a ps5 and want one,ps5 pro is the way,if u have a ps5 and love it as it is,than This might not be fore you.. give it a try or just return it

Great console but not for everyone!

This console is not for everyone. But for those who have the money, a premium tv set, and want the best of the best that’s currently available - then this console is the one to get. I already had a PS5 but I always get the Pro consoles for the living room. If ray tracing and better frame rates is something you notice and you don’t want to compromise how you play, then I recommend the console. You do have to get the disc drive separately but that’s going to be the new norm. The extra 1.2 gigs of console storage, the addition of PSSR, having the CPU overclocked, and having WiFi 7 is worth the price difference for me but the regular PS5 is just fine for the everyday gamer.

The item shipped well and it works. It even arrived on time. However, the delivery was less than desirable. I wasn't home when it arrived, so the delivery person placed it wedged between a metal storm door to my condo. The item was also not packaged beyond its PS5 packaging, leaving it susceptible to the elements and possibly worse, theft. I know porch theft is a real thing, though not a huge issue at my residence. But the box literally had PS5 PRO written all over it.

Back when the PS4 Pro came out, I got it because I had a 4K 65" OLED and wanted to play Spider-Man the best way I could. When they announced the PS5 Pro, I had similar feelings for it. I spent most of 11/07/24 setting it up. Installing the disc drive for it, M.2, and stand. Now that I have a 77" LG OLED, I have to say it's pretty striking, the graphical upgrade that this machine produces is amazing. I have most of the games on its enhanced list, and going through them yesterday was nice. Is it worth 700 dollars? Your wallet will be the judge of that. Altogether this thing cost me $880 with the drive and stand. It is absolutely insane that Sony does not include them for this cost. Either way, I feel future-proofed to the end of the PS5's life cycle now. Not to mention Grand Theft Auto VI will likely support the enhancements. Looking forward to that.

Brought it to get some more definition out of games especially on my OLED monitor. Nice upgrade in graphics on games like GT7

Im not sure why the overall rating on this is lower than the PS5 Slim. I love this thing. Came with more hdd space 2tb vs 1tb. Also games that are enhanced for the pro version look better. I was pleasantly surprised it came with an HDMI Cable.

Love that it is giving me steady and consistent frame rates while also keeping good Fidelity in my games. Price is high which is why I took away star due to having to pay even more for a disc reader. Other than that if you have yet to get a PS5 I would go with the pro over the base.

PS5, but better. If you’re a gamer who loves the best experience possible, this is the console for you. Several games are night and day better looking then they were on ps5.

Really an amazing thing to use, the last playstation I used was the 2 so it was a bit of a jump, but I was hooked as soon as I picked up the controller and felt the trigger sensitivity and feedback. Makes my tv look 5 years younger watching streaming services.

Awesome console with excellent storage. Took advantage of the trade in promotion to upgrade from base ps5 to the pro, and it was worth the effort. If you have an oled tv, it will enhance the experience of owning a ps5 pro.

The PS5 Pro runs extremelh smooth and is truly next gen! I usually play in performance mode on most games and the colors are still bright animations are super smooth getting 60+ frames in most games with slowdown to near 30 fps only in rhe most congested of scenes in fps. Higher resolutions like quality modes look amazing with realistic ray tracing for console—still somewhat short of pc graphics card as the fps drop sognificantly making animation choppy and affect play. Otherwise look way better the standard in performance or balance mode! Worth the step up if youre deciding and dont already own a ps5.

Really amazing visual and performance boost even for games not optimized like old PS4 games with stable frame rates. The only shame is that the console doesn't support a higher frame rate even it has the power to do so as it's capped at 120Hz because of industry standards/limitations in the TV market space.
