The PS5 Pro is everything I hoped for and more. From the moment I powered it on, the performance difference was clear games load insanely fast, visuals are incredibly sharp, and frame rates are buttery smooth. The enhanced graphics make supported games look stunning, with richer details, improved lighting, and ultra-smooth gameplay. The console runs quietly even during long gaming sessions, and the DualSense controller truly elevates immersion with its adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. Whether you’re into competitive gaming or cinematic single-player experiences, the PS5 Pro handles everything flawlessly. If you want the best possible console gaming experience right now, the PS5 Pro is 100% worth it. Highly recommended!

It’s clear Sony is laying the foundation for whatever the principles and philosophy of PlayStation 6 will be with the PS5 Pro. PSSR, their up-scaling, AI-machine learning proprietary design, allows the system to enhance games and do much of the heavy lifting without needing developers to implement things in a way that costs time and money. The additional TB of storage capacity over the regular PS5 is a nice addition that I think is overlooked as well. The system is shockingly small and rather quiet for a machine that is so powerful and capable of extraordinary output. I could be playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer for hours and the PS5 Pro would remain as quiet as it was when I turned it on for the day. The design of the system is sleek and fits nicely with any console entertainment setup you might have.

PS5 Pro Enhances Your PS5 Games and Performance

Having owned a PS5 since its launch, I am very pleased with the PS5 Pro. With many games I own, the Pro boosts them to a better performing version compared to base PS5. In addition, several games have Pro Enhanced patches that substantially improve the framerate, the resolution, or add features like real-time lighting. If you only have a digital game library, the Pro has 1 TB more of SSD storage compared to the base PS5. Typically, 1 TB of expansion storage costs about $100-$110 so that is one reason the system sells for $699.99. By comparison, a slim PS5 digital costs $449.99 but has 1TB of storage. If you need a disc drive to play games you own on PS5 or want to use your PS5 as a Blu-ray DVD player (does not play music CDs), you will have to buy a $79.99 external drive (raising the price to $779.98). Overall, it is a bit of a steep asking price for a console, but it absolutely is a much bigger upgrade compared to the one observed with PS4 Pro. Thus far, games like Horizon Forbidden West, Assassins Creed Shadows, Space Marine 2, Gran Turismo 7, Jedi Survivor, and Star Wars:Outlaws have seen significant improvements on Pro. In addition, games like Call of Duty Black Ops 6, Doom The Dark Ages, and Forza Horizon 5 see some minor improvements in resolution and performance. Games like Doom Eternal and Armored Core 6 see some nice boosts in resolution and performance without a patch. I highly recommend looking at the website resetera.com for a full list of Enhanced and Boosted games

I like the PS5 Pro. The games look better and run smoother, and the loading is really fast. It’s quiet, and the bigger storage is nice. The price is high, but overall it feels like a good upgrade for me.

The PS5 Pro is a fantastic console. The graphics are incredibly crisp, gameplay is smooth, and the system runs quietly and stays cool. With a generous 2TB of storage, you’ll have plenty of space for all your games. It is on the expensive side, and while it doesn’t include a disk drive by default, Sony allows you to purchase and add one separately. Personally, I prefer the look of the base PS5, but adding a disk drive improves its appearance. Overall, the PS5 Pro is an absolute powerhouse and a top-tier gaming experience.

I’m really impressed with the PlayStation 5 Pro. I upgraded from the regular PS5, and the difference is noticeable right away—everything feels faster, smoother, and more polished. Games load almost instantly, and the graphics look намного sharper and more detailed, especially on a 4K TV. What I like most is how stable the performance is. Even in demanding games, I’m getting smooth gameplay without drops, and the visuals look amazing with better lighting and realism. It just feels like a more premium experience overall. The extra storage is also a big plus since I don’t have to constantly delete games to free up space. Setup was simple, and it works perfectly with my existing setup. For me, it was definitely worth the upgrade. If you want better performance and top-tier visuals, this console delivers exactly that.

I upgraded from the standard PS5 and the difference is clear. Games look sharper, run smoother (many at 4K/60 or 120fps), and load just as fast. The console runs quiet, and the extra storage (1TB) is a big plus. If you have a 4K/120Hz display, this is the best PlayStation experience yet. Pricey, but worth it for serious gamers.

Earl, I am extremely excited and grateful that I made this purchase! I owned a Xbox one X that finally gave out after a long period of time. BUT NOW I'VE ENTERED A WHOLE NEW GAMING UNIVERSE! I am in shock every time I start my PlayStation 5 Pro. I'm impressed with the speed, graphics, controller effects, apps for streaming, and the endless games. I will definitely come to BestBuy AGAIN for the accessories soon!

As a dedicated gamer, I recently upgraded to the PlayStation 5 Pro, and after several weeks of extensive use, I wanted to share my personal experience with this console. Performance and Graphics The PS5 Pro's enhanced GPU delivers a noticeable boost in both graphics and frame rates. Games like Horizon Forbidden West and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 showcase stunning visuals with smoother gameplay, thanks to advanced ray tracing and AI-driven upscaling technologies. The increased frame rates make for a more immersive and responsive gaming experience. Storage and Design The 2 TB internal SSD is a significant upgrade, providing ample space for my game library and reducing the need for external storage solutions. However, I was disappointed to find that the console lacks a built-in optical disc drive, requiring a separate purchase if you have a collection of physical games. Additionally, the vertical stand is sold separately, which feels like an oversight given the console's premium price point. Price Considerations At $699.99, the PS5 Pro is a considerable investment. While the performance enhancements are impressive, the price may be difficult to justify for the average gamer, especially without a high-end display to fully utilize the console's capabilities. For those without a 4K 120Hz TV or monitor, the benefits might not be as apparent.

The PlayStation 5 Pro is a powerful upgrade to the already impressive PS5, offering noticeable improvements for those seeking the best possible console gaming experience. While it might not be a revolutionary leap, it delivers enhanced visuals, smoother performance, and a few quality-of-life upgrades that cater to hardcore gamers and enthusiasts. Pros: Enhanced Visuals: The PS5 Pro shines with a high-end 4K TV with a 120Hz refresh rate. Thanks to the upgraded GPU, games look stunning with improved image clarity, more detailed textures, and smoother frame rates. Improved Performance: Say goodbye to compromises between fidelity and performance. The PS5 Pro allows for higher frame rates while maintaining impressive visual quality, even in demanding games. Larger SSD: The increased storage capacity (2TB) is a welcome addition, allowing you to install more games without worrying about storage space. Slimmer Design: While not a significant factor for everyone, the slightly slimmer and lighter design is a nice touch. Cons: Price: The PS5 Pro carries a premium price tag, making it a significant investment for gamers. Not Essential for Everyone: If you're happy with your current PS5 experience or need a high-end 4K TV to take advantage of the visual enhancements, the upgrade might not be necessary. Graphical Improvements Can Be Subtle: While noticeable in some games, the visual improvements aren't always dramatic. Key Features: Upgraded GPU: Delivers smoother frame rates and enhanced visual fidelity. 2TB SSD: Provides ample storage for your growing game library. Improved Cooling System: Ensures optimal performance during extended gaming sessions. Backward Compatibility: Play your entire PS4 and PS5 game collection. Who is it for? The PS5 Pro is aimed at gamers who demand the best console gaming experience. If you have a 4K TV with a high refresh rate and VRR support and are willing to pay a premium, the PS5 Pro will deliver a noticeable improvement over the base PS5. Final Verdict: The PS5 Pro is a solid upgrade that refines the PS5 formula, offering a smoother, more visually impressive gaming experience. While it's not a must-have for everyone, it's a worthwhile investment for enthusiasts and those seeking the best possible console visuals and performance.

I purchased the Sony PULSE Elite Wireless Gaming Headset for my PS5, and it has absolutely exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for an audio upgrade that genuinely enhances your immersion, look no further. The Sound Quality is Elite The audio performance is phenomenal. It is incredibly clear, deeply immersive, and the bass is powerful without ever losing its clarity. I can effortlessly distinguish every important sound cue, which has been a major advantage in competitive games. This headset brings the full soundscape of next-gen games to life in a way standard audio simply cannot. Communication and Comfort My teammates have consistently commented on how crisp and clear my voice sounds, thanks to the excellent microphone. Crucially, the noise suppression is outstanding, meaning they hear my voice and not the background noise in my room. Comfort is another huge win. The headset is lightweight and fits perfectly, allowing me to stay locked into my games for long sessions without any pressure or fatigue. Reliable and User-Friendly I really appreciate the excellent battery life and the strong, seamless wireless connection. The smart, retractable microphone is a fantastic feature—it's there when you need it and neatly tucked away when you don't. In summary, the PULSE Elite is a premium product that delivers on every promise. It's a complete package of high-fidelity audio, crystal-clear communication, and outstanding comfort. I highly recommend this headset to any serious gamer.

The PS5 Pro feels like a game-changer right out of the box—smoother performance, stunning ray-traced graphics, and faster load times that make jumping into worlds instant. Upgraded SSD is a beast for big games, and the upscaling keeps everything crisp at higher frames. Worth every penny if you're into next-level immersion, though casual players might stick with the base model. Solid upgrade overall!

Only worth it if you have 4k/120hz, vrr, ALLM TV

If you have the tech to actually make this beast work its magic it's gorgeous and stupid fast. Upgraded storage, great improvement on the psvr2 quality as well, added USB c ports, sturdier USB a ports and no bulky disc drive are only the start. But if you don't have a 4K 120 hz TV with 2.1 HDMI capability, VRR ALLM etc then it's just not going to do a lot more than your current setup with a PS5. This is what I think the PS5 claimed to be when it first came out. I just got a brand new TV and let this thing do what it was meant to do for the first time and it's night and day in quality of picture and frame rate. I think this would be a great choice for those who are skeptical of the PS6 roll out and want to still get the best Sony has to offer in that transitional stage.

Best Console Preorder experienve hands down

This is by far worth the purchase despite what many say on the internet. It has brought life to old PS4 games, improved PSVR2 game quality, enhanced PS5 games that are not pro enhanced thanks to the new specs, and the new Pro mode. I have no complaints with this console. All topped by the best console preordering experience thanks to Best Buy’s curbside pick up. Setting up the console was extremely easy, and so was transferring my data from my slim PS5 to the Pro console.

I have been a loyal Xbox user for as long as I can remember, but I’ve had my eye on a PlayStation for a while now. After years of wanting one, I finally decided to pull the trigger and picked it up from Best Buy. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with the decision. The Experience: Coming from the Xbox ecosystem, I wasn't sure how the transition would feel, but this is a truly great product. The hardware feels premium and the setup process was incredibly smooth. One of the biggest standouts for me has been the DualSense controller; the haptic feedback is a complete game-changer and feels very different from what I’m used to. Why I Bought It: I’ve always loved my Xbox, but I kept feeling like I was missing out on the incredible library of PlayStation exclusives. Now that I finally have one sitting on my shelf, I can see what all the hype is about. The graphics are stunning, the UI is snappy, and it runs so quietly. Final Verdict: If you’ve been a long-time Xbox owner like me and are on the fence about switching or adding a second console to your setup, do it! It’s a fantastic piece of tech that I wish I’d bought sooner. Big thanks to Best Buy for making the purchase and pickup process so easy.
