The PS5 Pro is a want, not a need, lol. If you don't have a gaming PC, this is the next best thing to game on. I have a 120hz OLED TV, so the extra ~$250 (from the PS% Slim) was worth it. Even though it doesn't come with a disc drive, it does have a larger 2TB hard drive. Which, in my opinion, is fine. If you think you're going to run out of storage, you can always get a larger SSD, easily.

Definitely a better console! I can see the difference on better frame rates and visual quality on my Gaming monitor. I recommend the upgrade %100

I actually noticed a difference from the regular ps5 to this one. Mainly play the new battlefield.

I’m a big gamer so I have a really high end gaming pc, ps5, Xbox series x as well as a Nintendo switch oled. Obviously none of the other systems can compete with my gaming pc, but they’re also a fraction of the price. I’ve only used my ps5 pro a couple of times but so far I am very pleased with it. There aren’t a ton of games that have been optimized to take advantage of the pro yet but I’m sure over the next few months there will be a ton.

Very easy set up and games look great. The pro can enhance older games which is a great bonus!

It’s nice to have, but it is not really worth the extra $200. You do notice a difference, a difference you cannot see on YouTube. However, it’s not revolutionary or super dramatic. Yeah, the frame rate and resolution is smoother, you get an extra terabyte of storage, and the “details” pop through, but that’s it. And the details are very slight. Like, you can “see” more detailed stitching on things, but…okay? Honestly, if you don’t have the money, your base PS5 will do the same exact stuff, but without the “premium” frame rate and resolution. And, by the way, you notice the differences more on an OLED than a regular LCD 4K TV. And that 8K support? Good luck affording a TV that can support that. Do I regret buying this? No, but I also think if Sony had just stuck with the base PS5, I don’t think anyone would have complained. The fact that you can’t tell the difference unless you buy it is kinda ridiculous. It’s like Sony said “let’s not let people see it on YouTube so they have to purchase it.” I don’t know. Plus, for a “Pro” model, they really skimped on this. Not even the DualSense Edge was included AND they took out the disk drive. You can buy the disk drive yourself and install it and it will work, but that’s an additional $80. For a “Pro” model, that’s very sad. If they had the option to choose a model with the disk drive or digital, you know like they did with the base models, I would be a little nicer to this. And if they added the DualSense Edge, I could see the justification in the price. But, at most, it should only be MAYBE 75$ more…MAYBE!!! But not $200. I understand there’s profit to be made, but yeah, this isn’t it. The price isn’t justifiable and it’s just doesn’t do the same as when they released the PS4 Pro…THAT was justifiable! This? Nah!

I was skeptical the PS5 Pro would be much better than the original PS5. I bought it because I wanted to have the best of both worlds, 4k gaming with 60 fps. It took me 3 hours to transfer everything to the new Pro system. I finally got to play last night and was blown away. I booted up FF7 rebirth and the game now looks like its an IMAX movie. I can't wait to replace some other games that are PS5 Pro-enhanced. This is soooooooooo worth the money.

Fast load times, great graphics, great games, great controller. User Experiences are dialed in. My only complaint is that Sony won't support the Logitech G27 wheel for no reason other than licensing.
