I am primarily a PC gamer but I picked this up for my wife. I use it pretty frequently just because it's a lot easier to boot up a game on this than having to boot up the PC and launch other things. Most things can run pretty consistently 4K 60 or 4K 120. The storage is insanely fast and graphical fidelity is unparalleled on any console.

Upgraded from the PS5 and with a number of patches out already there is noticeable improvement. The ML model for PLSS should be improving with continued iterations, so hopefully even some games held back by the limitations of the nacent software upgrades will be better with time. Spiderman with performance pro, both the 1 remaster and 2, looks great. Alan Wake 2 shows significant improvement even if full implimentation is not complete. If youre already in the market for a PS5 this is a great choice. May not be worth the upgrade if you already own one, so consider your overall setup before handing over the extra $200. Disc drives are currently somewhat elusive so if your primary collection is physical this may not be for you until disc drives are more readily available. 2tb of storage goes pretty far, though.

Having grown up with the PS2-PS4 this is honestly so awesome to see them reporting a bunch of PS2 & PS3 games to the PS5. The games that are PS5 pro enhanced are absolutely mind blowing graphically. My favorites so far are horizon forbidden west and death stranding 2. They’re just absolutely stunning. The fact this comes with a whole 2TB for any game you want to play just makes this even better. Everything runs flawlessly.

I’ve been using the PS5 Pro for a few weeks now, and honestly, it’s been such a game-changer. The graphics are insane—everything looks so smooth and detailed, especially in 4K. Plus, the load times are super fast. I’m talking a few seconds, and you’re already playing. The controller is probably my favorite part. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers really make you feel like you’re part of the game. It’s such a cool experience, especially in games designed to use those features. The console itself looks sleek, but heads up—it’s pretty big, so make sure you have room for it. It’s super quiet, though, even when you’re playing for hours, which I love. I also like that it’s backward compatible with a lot of PS4 games, so I didn’t have to give up my old favorites. Overall, it’s pricey, but I think it’s worth it. If you’re into gaming, this thing will blow you away

Its definitely not for everybody but if you want to get the best performance possible out of ps5 games its a must buy. The higher frame rates at higher resolution are definitely noticeable compared to the base ps5. The addition of PSSR upscaling is really a game changer allowing games to run higher frame rates at 4k quality resolution.

Great console graphics def better and the speed is great. Only issue for me is wifi connection be spotty with console.

I was unsure whether I should upgrade my standard PS5 to Pro but I'm glad I did. It is faster, provides higher fps and better graphics for supported games.

Absolutely love it! Way faster than the original PS5. Much clearer and the standard 2TB storage is such an upgrade. Especially with COD. That took up most of my storage on the original PS5

This product really exceeded my expectations. Its performance is really a beast and smooth as butter. When I take my ps5 pro on my hand, it feel so good because of the Premium material quality. It also looks premium. The first setup of it was quick and hassle-free truly. As it was one of my dream to afford a Ps5 pro console and I finally bought it with my hard earned money for myself, so yeah I was really happy and the overall experience was so best that, it make it totally worth the price. Ngl, Black Friday also help me to afford it bcz of the discounted price, which made the whole purchase even better. Thanks Best Buy and also thanks to Black Friday deal <3

I bought the original ps5 as soon as it came out and obviously over the years its gotten slower even with regular maintenance and cleaning. Then the ps5 pro came out and its like a brand new ps5 but even better. Loading speeds are faster, the conmection to the internet is stronger, and it doesnt just randomly skip frames or freeze like the original ps5 does.

This console is not for everyone. But for those who have the money, a premium tv set, and want the best of the best that’s currently available - then this console is the one to get. I already had a PS5 but I always get the Pro consoles for the living room. If ray tracing and better frame rates is something you notice and you don’t want to compromise how you play, then I recommend the console. You do have to get the disc drive separately but that’s going to be the new norm. The extra 1.2 gigs of console storage, the addition of PSSR, having the CPU overclocked, and having WiFi 7 is worth the price difference for me but the regular PS5 is just fine for the everyday gamer.

Good machine that looks 10x better than the original PS5. Games run smoother and a lot of games are upscaled to higher resolution.

There's a lot of hate surrounding this device. Most of it is unfounded. The price point is high, and the tangible stuff you get doesn't seem like its worth it. No disc drive, no upright stand, the horizontal feet are kind of cheap looking. Sony also missed the chance to have something major drop built for the PS5 Pro that would showcase its power. There that's the negatives out of the way. The games I've played have had varying amounts of improvements. The one thing I have to say about the games with enhancements. Think of a hamburger. If you add salt and pepper.. you enhanced it. But its still not a steak. If you keep that in mind you'll be a happier person. Each game is very different in the amount of improvements. FC25 the lighting, gameplay and subtle details to players is a very noticeable improvement, Spider-Man Remastered... looks and plays amazing! Its more in line with the PC in the ray tracing and frame rate (in line not better than max settings don't at me) Call of Duty stable 120 frame rate, butter smooth.. there are others not so noticeable Dragon Age frame rate is definitely better but visuals are about the same. First Descendant the same. Stellar Blade VAST improvements. I could go on but you get the idea. Milage for each game will vary. That bein said, as more games come out built with the PS5 Pro in mind we should see a big uptick in improvements. Should you buy? IMO if you have an old PlayStation 5 or are in the market to get one, this would be the one to choose. If you have a slim or the Sony anniversary edition, I wouldn't make a special purchase right now, maybe wait for a sale. Of course its your money do what you like, just go into it with the right expectations and you'll be happier. I don't regret it and I'm enjoying it.

Got a great deal on Black Friday. Got this for the 4k and 120hz gaming and 4k Blu-ray disk player. So far it is a solid upgrade from my PS4. Trade-in deal was perfect and best price around.
