The PS5 Pro is easily Sony’s most powerful console yet, and it shows—games run smoother, look sharper with its new PSSR upscaling, and ray tracing improvements add a lot of visual polish. The upgraded 2TB SSD is a huge quality-of-life boost, and Wi-Fi 7 makes it feel future-proof. Titles like Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth really shine on this hardware, pushing frame rates and fidelity further than the base PS5. That said, the $699 price tag stings, especially since the disc drive and stand are sold separately, and only a limited number of games fully take advantage of the Pro right now. If you’re a hardcore gamer with a 4K display who wants the best PlayStation experience possible, the PS5 Pro delivers. For casual players or those happy with their current PS5, the upgrade may not feel essential.

Uogrades from the base ps5 right before the increase. The visual differences in gameplay are there and dont let anyone tell you otherwise. More storage and paired it with a 2tb ssd.

I've had a PS5 since they launched and decided it was time to upgrade because of the black friday sale that was going. I was able to trade in my original PS5 for almost what i originally paid for it and then got $100 off the PS5 Pro. Based on that it was 100% worth the upgrade for me. It downloads games much faster, the remote gaming from the portal os smoother, and it seems to run cooler. Graphics might be better and crisper but its hard to tell, and I am using an Alienware gaming monitor with it. The big difference is holding the higher frame rate while playing. Does it all add up to the cost of the Pro and then the additional cost of the disc drive without any discounts or trade in deals? For me it doesn't which is why I only gave it 4 stars. The slim would have sufficed if I was purchasing for the first time and a disc drive should be standard on the Pro at the current cost.

I had the first PlayStation 5 version when it was released, and it was a great console that lasted me a long time. Then, the PlayStation 5 Pro was announced, and I knew I had to get it. The additional storage is fantastic, and the improved graphics and gaming experience are a huge plus. I genuinely enjoy playing on it. I wish we had gotten a better controller, though. The DualSense controller is great, but I’m sure it will need to be replaced as the sticks start to drift. Other than that, I’m very happy with my PlayStation 5 Pro.

Love the PlayStation 5, all digital. You don’t have to collect all the discs for games. The look is different than the older models. The graphics are insane. It’s got a lot to choose from for free games and to purchase. My kids absolutely love it!

PS5 Pro is absolutely amazing. This PlayStation 5 Pro works great for gaming, movies, and everything in between. The graphics are stunning, 4K resolution is crystal clear, and the performance boost is unbelievable. Games run smoother, faster, and look better than ever. The PS5 Pro is easy to install, easy to set up, and ready to go right out of the box. Hard work clearly went into this design—it feels premium, powerful, and built to last. The PS5 Pro delivers amazing speed, performance, and reliability every single time. Best Buy made the buying process fast and simple with excellent service and quick pickup. I would definitely buy the PS5 Pro again and highly recommend it to anyone who wants the ultimate gaming console with amazing power and easy setup.

Games run incredibly smooth, with improved visuals and faster load times compared to the standard PS5. The performance boost is noticeable, especially on a 4K display. It’s expensive, but if you want the best console experience available right now, this delivers.

Upgraded from PS4 Pro:). This has been beyond cool update for me, as it’s been a few years since the ps5 released, so a few things I have enjoyed is the ps4 library is playing nice with the ps5 pro , I enjoyed picking up on games in my library new shine. I also am looking to playing the ps5 library too. Briefly the games I have jumped into I noticed things are wowing me over and over , now I have a quick in and out of my library of games , which the quickness the ps5 pro has brought me to this gem after holding onto my ps4pro for so long, plus the trade I made at Best Buy was so easy and beyond fair. I have a Sony tv last gen 60 hz so I am missing out on a few more features…..now I am saving for my tv upgrade :). Have a great day . This was typed out in the hot sun in my hammock, good day.

I’ll be real—I wasn’t planning on upgrading from my launch PS5 anytime soon. It still ran great, and I didn’t think the PS5 Pro would feel that different. But after actually using it, I’m glad I made the jump. The biggest thing for me is PSSR. Games just look cleaner and sharper right away. It’s one of those things you notice within minutes—less blur, better detail, everything just looks more polished. If you’ve got a launch PS5 and you’re unsure like I was, I get it. But honestly, PSSR made the difference for me. It actually feels like an upgrade you can see, not just something on paper.

Smaller than OG PS5. Runs noticeably faster and smoother than my old PS5. Good if you want to maximize your console gaming experience. Extra storage is nice too. Wish it came with the vertical stand and disc drive for the price however.

The performance is crazy smooth — no lag, no nonsense. Graphics look insane, like you’re literally inside the game. Load times? Basically gone. You blink and you’re already playing. And that 2TB space? Huge W. I got all my games downloaded, no more deleting stuff every other day. Finally feels like a next-gen console for real. Controller still feels elite, haptics hit different, and everything just runs clean and fast. If you’re thinking about upgrading — don’t even hesitate. This ain’t just an upgrade, it’s a whole different level.

    Ps5 pro the real truth

I bought this as I have been a playstation gamer since the original. I've had all the consoles since launch. This to me is sonys greatest console ever. However the price is very high and also you need to buy the disc drive which is a further £100. Totaling $900 for console and disc drive. To the average consumer that is a huge chunk of money. You also have to have a newer TV with all the bells and whistles on it. Ie vrr. 120htz. 4k.hdr.etc. But once you have all that the difference is mind blowing in games that have been ps5 pro enhanced. Alan wake 2 is absolutely incredible. The details and the ray tracing effects are on another level. Every game so far I have replayed is outstanding in some sort of way. The ps5 pro also enhances certain ps4 games which is fantastic. Giving your old ps4 games a new lease of life. Would I recommend this product. Absolutely. But it is expensive. Very offer 12 months buy now pay later which is a lot less stressful on the wallet. If you are feeling on the fence over this product. Belive me when I say it is an outstanding piece of technology. This is the future of gaming.

If you have any interest in console gaming this is the best there is! Powerful and plenty of storage, with a large library of games and it's a 4k bluray play as well. The best.

PS5 Pro = Worthwhile upgrade for performance enthusiasts. Not a must-own console for the average gamer. It improves graphics and frame rates in meaningful ways, but the difference only shines in the right setup (120Hz displays, supported games). For everyone else, the standard PS5 remains a very capable machine. No hype. No sugarcoat. Just reality: Good upgrade. Not game-changing.

It genuinely exceeded my expectations right out of the box. Coming directly from a PS4 after years i was finally able to to get my hands on a PS5 Pro and it was such an awesome transition everything is so different in a very great way. The controller, the game smoothness, fast loading time and graphics also when youre in a party chat with your friends the audio is so crisp and clear. If youre looking to upgrade your PS5 to a PS5 Pro i would highly recommend it.

Compared to the ps4 pro this thing is wisper quiet. Smaller than the og ps5. Have had zero problems with mine and ive had it for a while. The stands they give you are pathetic to say the least i just use my ps5 og stand. "Is it worth the extra money?" You may ask i say no just get a basic ps5 and save the rest of the money for a ps6
