I skipped the PS4 and Xbox one generation. I casually game on PC. I figured buy physical media before it all goes on a cloud and isn't available. The hardware on the PS5 is definitely a step up from the PS5. There is a huge difference in visuals and functionality. I am happy with it.

It does perform better than the standard PS 5 but it isn't worth the price. It should have came with a better controller or something.

I did the mistake of upgrading from my OG PS5 to this one. Not only it has not that good of a build quality in comparison to the previous model (overall cheaper) but also sony doesn’t give a dic drive option making you shell out $90 more in order for tou to use discs!!! And all games they sell on their store are more expensive than their Windows counterparts. The only game basically that I can’t play on a PC is GT7, all the other “PS exclusives” are now available in steam! And about the graphics, I’m not impressed, they’re as good on the previous model. The only reason I’m keeping this is to (eventually) play GTA 6 since there will be a delay between releases between console and PC versions. With that budget if you’re a little DIY inclined you can put together a PC that will not be far behind on the visuals and that will save you a lot of money on the games, avoiding Sony’s greed, and might even have fun in the process. If you really want a console might as well get the OG/slim with disc so you’re not stuck with their expensive store, also being able to trade games.

I traded in my old PS4 pro and got an extra $100 on top of the trade in value. What a great deal. Not a huge upgrade from the PS5 but when u add in the extra memory it was worth the extra money to me. If you want the best available version, you just have to pay a little more.

Not worth the price they are asking. Yes there is an improvement in graphics performance, but it's not worth the price.

It's fine. More powerful and with much more storage, but weirdly no disk drive. I got it for the larger drive and the wifi7 support, and it's a decent upgrade but way too expensive for what it is.

Little bit pricey, but I’m hoping it’s worth the extra juice. The machine has. We’ll see. I think it’s a little funny that things are becoming like cell phones two machines a generation why not just have it have everything in it to begin future proof to council

Great investment. The system is a great update from the 4. The storage space is a bonus, no need to worry about deleting games to install new ones as long as you’re realistic with what games you actually keep installed and play.

Pretty good purchase coming from the slim ps5 just wish it came with disk drive

Attatched my brothers dorty disk drive and it started overheating. Dont know if its the bug ridden disk drive or the console itself.

Great price, and with the new Bluetooth they can connect to both my PS5, my phone, and my steam deck and hot swap whenever I want

If you are more than a casual gamer, get one or upgrade to it. Games like Stellar Blade & FF Rebirth need to be played on the Pro for the best experience. Gameplay is smooth and so much easier on the eyes.

Great machine for the price, developers need to optimize for it though. Not a magic bullet but makes most games better.
