There's a lot of hate surrounding this device. Most of it is unfounded. The price point is high, and the tangible stuff you get doesn't seem like its worth it. No disc drive, no upright stand, the horizontal feet are kind of cheap looking. Sony also missed the chance to have something major drop built for the PS5 Pro that would showcase its power. There that's the negatives out of the way. The games I've played have had varying amounts of improvements. The one thing I have to say about the games with enhancements. Think of a hamburger. If you add salt and pepper.. you enhanced it. But its still not a steak. If you keep that in mind you'll be a happier person. Each game is very different in the amount of improvements. FC25 the lighting, gameplay and subtle details to players is a very noticeable improvement, Spider-Man Remastered... looks and plays amazing! Its more in line with the PC in the ray tracing and frame rate (in line not better than max settings don't at me) Call of Duty stable 120 frame rate, butter smooth.. there are others not so noticeable Dragon Age frame rate is definitely better but visuals are about the same. First Descendant the same. Stellar Blade VAST improvements. I could go on but you get the idea. Milage for each game will vary. That bein said, as more games come out built with the PS5 Pro in mind we should see a big uptick in improvements. Should you buy? IMO if you have an old PlayStation 5 or are in the market to get one, this would be the one to choose. If you have a slim or the Sony anniversary edition, I wouldn't make a special purchase right now, maybe wait for a sale. Of course its your money do what you like, just go into it with the right expectations and you'll be happier. I don't regret it and I'm enjoying it.

This console is not for everyone. But for those who have the money, a premium tv set, and want the best of the best that’s currently available - then this console is the one to get. I already had a PS5 but I always get the Pro consoles for the living room. If ray tracing and better frame rates is something you notice and you don’t want to compromise how you play, then I recommend the console. You do have to get the disc drive separately but that’s going to be the new norm. The extra 1.2 gigs of console storage, the addition of PSSR, having the CPU overclocked, and having WiFi 7 is worth the price difference for me but the regular PS5 is just fine for the everyday gamer.

The PS5 Pro is an excellent console that can play all the latest and greatest games with no issues. I don’t like fiddling around with settings on PC so getting this was worth it to just sit down and play games with no issues. Also the included 2TBs of space is more than enough storage to have a good variety of games to play whenever I want.

I love it. Best purchase. Always been a fan of the PlayStation series. I love how much storage it has for my games, I love the look and the size of the system. And it really does make a big difference in graphics with my games.

It's worth it. You may not think upgrading from the PS5 to the pro is worth it, but it's worth it. Almost all major titles run better, even if there is no noticeable visual improvement, almost every game runs better frame rate wise!

The PS5 pro is a PS5 with more power and an AI that boosts image quality. Its up to future developers at this point to use it to its potential, not so much games that have come before. You will be getting the best experience in console gaming that we can get in the current industry, but the reality is, the differences right now are small. There is also the issue of no disk drive, something that wasnt an issue for me since im transitioning to getting all games i get all digital. Thats only because i live in florida, and a hurricane can displace me any moment. In the end, the console is definitely what you pay for. Even until after the ps6 comes out, all games will be optimized for the base ps5. Question is do you need that extra kick in performance, no matter how small?

This is not a complete next gen upgrade as people think. It does improve the graphics on performance mode with higher frame rate, on fidelity it has better ray tracing and graphics improvements. As for disc drive sony said its an accessorie and they are not leaving physical games as people claim. Yes their is a improvements from ps5 vs ps5 pro. You have to compare them to see the difference. As for the games its all up to the developers how they want to patch the game some might take full advantage and some might not.

Love this! Looks so sleek and its smaller than the regular which honestly i like. Consoles have gotten too big. Runs really well too

I haven't found any drawbacks yet -- still agree with most that the disc drive should have been included on this console -- 99% of my library is on physical media so this was the biggest negative for me -- I have to have it so now I have a roaring loud behemoth on the side of my console compared to my original PS5 which could spin discs whisper silent -- most of the time you wouldnt even know when it was. The only thing that made the purchase worth it was trading in one of my old consoles to lower the price on top of the holiday sale. Thanks for that at least Best Buy

PS5 pro optimized games are amazing. Works great for racing games with high FPS. Good for casual fun games and serious simulations alike! Ray tracing is amazing. No lags at all.

The ps5 pro is a beast, I have not had any issues running any games on this. Adding a SSD is a must in my opinion, once adding 4TB I now have 6 TB total

The improvements from the base model are noticeable but subtle. I would not recommend it for use with a TV that is less than 4K and 65". Still, it's a fine piece of engineering and noticeably better for many games; probably it will reach its true potential later on, with improvements to PSSR and more games that take advantage of the hardware. The stand (sold separately) is badly designed, though. It fits a bit asymmetrically and the instructions don't sufficiently explain how to put it on, so it was a hassle. All in all, I am happy with it so far.

I bought the PS5 as a gift for my teenage son, and he’s been obsessed with it ever since. The graphics are absolutely stunning, the gameplay is smooth, and the load times are almost instant. He loves the DualSense controller—it really adds to the experience with the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. It’s also backward compatible with most of his PS4 games, which is a huge plus. Setup was easy, and it runs quietly. Worth every penny!

I own both a standard model PS5 as well as the Pro version. The PS5 Pro does offer many enhancements to both speed. framerate, and enhanced vusuals. I use an LG C5 display and the 120Hz refresh really makes my gaming experience shine using the Pro. Highly recommend!
