Yes to Ps5 pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great video game console with 2tb memory. With 4k-8k gameplay up to 120fps. With preformance mode that can run games more stable. With PSSR and AI upscale making graphics even clearer. Also enhancing ps4 games. Worth it especially if you have a good compatibility tv.

Ps5 Pro FTW, assuming you didn’t get the slim…
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was on the fence about grabbing this at release, but since my original 5’s disc drive had gone out prompting me to start thinking about getting a slim replacement and the drive, I ended up grabbing it and reserving judgement on it till I had played on it for a bit. After using for the last 8 months daily I can say without reservation that extra money spent does not go to waste particularly if you truly enjoy the higher frame rate and graphical performance that the money goes toward. I have enjoyed the performance boosts I’ve noticed in games like Spider-Man, Hogwarts Legacy, Space Marine 2 was much better performing than what I saw on the base current gen console and version of game. This is not to mention the boosts that ps4 games I still play exhibit, though with them the base ps5 may improve upon them enough in itself. My suggestion is that if you have a well functioning base model hold off, but if you are looking to get one for the first time or replace your original, then the pro at the added cost is well worth the additional investment. I say all this without even factoring in the size of the SSD, which after adding 2 TBs, and connecting 1 more TB of external SSD I now have my entire library of games from the ps4 on at my disposal. The internal SSD nearly justifies the additional cost itself when you consider how much buying an SSD to add costs. Anyway buy with confidence, it’s a solid machine!

PS5 Pro

PS5 Pro
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s much faster and you could tell the difference on the graphics when I compare it to my first generation PS5. I like how it has enough memory to download all my digital games. The only downside I have on it is that I have to buy the disc drive separately but other than that I’m happy with my purchase.

Best Gaming Console at the moment
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is best gaming console on the market - plenty of power in a familiar form factor. Smaller than original PS5, easy to add SSD (although you already have 2tb out of the box), all the existing accessories going to work without issues. A number of enhanced games you can play right now. If you don't have a dedicated gaming computer or laptop - this is the way to go. Downsides - nothing additional in the box, for example - if you need a vertical stand - you will have to buy it. No regrets from my side in buying it - easy plug and play solution for my needs.

Easy and fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy dealGreat product overall. Build quality feels solid and premium, setup was quick and straightforward, and performance has been excellent so far. Everything works as expected with no issues. Sound/image/performance quality is very impressive for the price, and it integrates perfectly with my existing setup. Definitely a noticeable upgrade compared to what I had before. Highly recommended. Would buy again without hesitation.

A fantastic console, with a couple downsides
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My opinion? A monster of a console and great performance for the price, HOWEVER, it may not be for everyone! Keep in mind, I upgraded from a PS4 Pro, not a PS5, so I can’t comment on the difference between the two. To give some background, I had originally intended to purchase a base PS5 but decided to wait once I heard that this was coming out. I’m also playing this on a 77-inch OLED, so I wanted to make sure that whatever I bought next made the most out of the display. Long story short, I’m glad I decided to purchase this instead. The graphics are gorgeous, and the load times are short. The new interface did take some time getting used to, but it’s not difficult once you get used to it. Obviously, it’s a big upgrade from the PS4 Pro, as one would expect. It’s definitely a larger console though, so keep that in mind if space is tight. When it comes to gripes about performance or display, I really have none. I’m currently playing Resident Evil 8 on it, and it looks fantastic! As an added perk, basically all the PS4 games I own (except the VR ones) are compatible, so I can go back and enjoy them if I want without having to switch consoles! Even better, many of them come with either a free or a very cheap upgrade to the PS5 version so long as you have the discs, which I do. I now have PS5 versions of Horizon Zero Dawn and Ghost of Tsushima for free thanks to this! Now, to address the one MAJOR con: as others have stated, there is no disc drive. I’m well aware this is not just a Sony thing, and most companies/studios are trying to phase out physical media altogether (yay corporate greed!). I refuse to be roped into digital-only, so I was willing to shell out the extra money to buy a disc drive, however many people may not be, especially when the base price is already so expensive. However, like I said, the upside was that purchasing the disc drive gave me access to several free PS5 upgrades. If you don’t care about having games on physical, then it’s not a big deal. The other minor downside is that 1TB may not be enough considering how huge games are now. In summation, I would say if you are upgrading from a PS4, have a display that will make the most of the hardware, and if the high price doesn’t deter you, then YES, this console is absolutely worth it. If you already have a PS5, then weigh your options and decide whether the upgrade is really worth it, especially considering the lack of a disc drive.

Great service and Manager was on point!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Birthday gift for my son. Loved it. Just FYI, the cover that goes over the PS5 Pro box is 80% of the time will have a rip, torn, and/or circle seal on top will be torn due to transport or any type or stress movement. Still new product and the actual box has not been tampered with. It looked sus when I went to pick one up thru a online order but the manager assured me and even show me the others they had in stock to show how they received the product. The wire theft prevention place on these unit looks like may effect the outer packaging. Manager was very helpful. Can't remember the name but he is over three stores he in Houston Pasadena Texas .Overall great service and product.Sony is a great product!

If you have the money and want the best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My original PS5 from 2021 recently overheated and currently doesn’t work I was looking for a new PS5 now the pro wasn’t my first choice since it’s expensive and I needed to get the disk drive so I wasn’t really looking at getting this one but I was able to sell my ps5 for parts I got some money from that and decided why not pull the plug and get the pro mainly because it was the extra storage and I really want to play ghost of yotei in the best possible way. After having it for 2 weeks it’s a tough sell. The build quality and the size of it are way nicer than the og base ps5 that I went from. The extra storage is really nice and makes a difference but there’s not really a difference in many games. There are some games that really use the pro well like stellar blade that has a bunch of settings and shows the potential the system has along with ff7 rebirth which is a night and day difference from the pro to the ps5 in performance mode but if a game doesn’t have a ps5 patch it still can benefit from the system smoothing out the framerate of games like silent hill 2 which had performance issues on ps5 but playing it on the pro makes it really smooth but visually in most games I couldn’t tell a difference between the ps5 pro or the base ps5. So is it worth the 200 dollar difference from base ps5 or close to 300 dollar difference if you get a disk drive like me I have to say not really. If you want more storage and smoother frame rates and have the extra money it can be worth it but if you want a big graphics difference and or are more on a budget just save the 200 or 300 dollars and get a base ps5 and just get extra games to play on it.
