Excellent Purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PlayStation 5 Pro is seriously impressive. Games look incredible in 4K and run super smooth, even the more demanding ones. Load times are almost nonexistent, and the graphics upgrade is easy to notice. The DualSense controller still feels amazing with the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Overall, it’s been an awesome upgrade and a great experience so far.

PS5 Pro is my favorite console
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it! Definitely an improvement from the original. Also like the fact that it comes with 2 tb of internal storage. The design in my opinion is an improvement as well. The only downside for me was having to purchase the disc drive separately. For as much as it costs I feel like it should have been included. All in all I recommend it if you can afford the premium price.

Worth the investment if you come from last gen.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Last console I bought was a PS4 Pro, that's why I decided to go for the PS5 Pro. In short: if you come from a last gen console like the base PS4 or the Pro and want to really experience a technological leap, pick the PS5 Pro. Yes, it's more expensive and you'll have to pay $79 more for the disc drive, but this console will stay technologically relevant for longer and don't forget that you're getting a perfectly capable 4K Blu-ray player for mere $79.

Do you need it? No. Is it worth it? Yes.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my regular PS5. Lot of people argue this upgrade isn’t worth it. I guess that depends on perspective. I love this console and am very happy with the upgrade. It’s like buying a vehicle with full trim. Do you need it to drive? No. Does it make driving better and more comfortable? Absolutely yes. This console is awesome and I am so impressed with how fast it is and how polished every game looks and feels.

Better than the rest
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I previously broke my 2020 Ps5 and ended up getting the ps5 pro, honestly it has a bunch of storage I can have multiple games installed at once which is very nice. It's slimmer and definitely a lot less heavier!

PS5 Pro - Upgrade from Base PS5
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a launch PS5. Games look great on my OLED TV and play smoothly. A good upgrade for those with a base PS5. The added storage really helps as well, since most games run about 50GB it seems.

Underwhelming
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who wasn't the biggest fan of this console generation, the PS5 Pro excited me. I felt "Finally, a true console worth of the "next-gen" promise...and then I played games with it. Outside of the design, which, lacks a disc drive, and doesn't come with a stand, this is largely a PS5. Sure, the internals are a little different, but you set it up the same, you launch your games the same...the difference is in how the games play and let me tell you...there's a difference, just not the difference I was looking for. The original selling point was no longer choosing between performance and graphic quality...but I feel like with the PS5 Pro there are even more choices. Developers have used the power of the PS5 pro, and PSSR, Playstations Ai upscaling method, to find new ways to get you to play 30 fps...and it doesn't look good enough to justify the 30 fps. ..and it's not a stable 30 FPS!! This is what we pay MORE for, sans a 4k Blu-ray drive? Moving past the console itself, I noticed when I purchased it, certain PS5 Pro-enhanced games now found themselves back up to full price. Sure...that's not the console's fault...but that is apart of the experience of getting the console, and it wasn't a good experience. No one piece of software screamed "THIS is why you bought a PS5 Pro!" and I get it, you can't necessarily develop a game specifically for the PS5 Pro, it's not the base model, it's not the top seller, it's a mid-gen upgrade for a small percentage of the overall user base...but if there's no software to justify the console, there's definitely no justification for a price increase with missing features (the disc drive). Last gen I purchased both mid-gen consoles and was satisfied with both of the purchases. This gen I'm reminded that I have a PC, and with the increased cost of game production, eventually all these games will have to land on PC where developers can truly push things to another space. Maybe going forward games are made with the PS5 Pro in mind, developers getting a better understanding o the benefits of PSSR, but right now? This ain't it.

Pros are worth every penny...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Turned in my PS5 for the PS5 Pro. Yeah, the onboard 2TB is really awesome, but so is GoW Ragnarök and The Last of us @ running at 60FPS. If money is not a worry, I'd advise anyone to jump in. Loads of AAA games coming between now and the next update cycle that will mostly all by Pro Enhanced. Lovin' it. BestBuy is awesome too. My pre-order had a broken seal when I went to pick it up and one of the staff found one with the seal intact.

Its fast SSD helps reduce loading times, making games more enjoyable. The console supports high-quality graphics, including 4K resolution, and runs most games very well. Overall, the PS5 is a reliable console for anyone looking to enjoy modern video games. I love it!

Love it! But do your research first!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from the original PS5 and I’m in love with the PS5 pro! I will say: make sure your tv can support a lot of the added features before you make your decision whether it’s worth the extra cost. Things like 120hz, VRR, ALLM etc are new features that will only work if your television is compatible. Also, make sure you buy an external disc drive if you plan to play physical games!

Best Gaming Console
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is hands down the best gaming console you can get today. Yes, it’s pricey compared to other options, but it delivers on its promises. It’s also rumored to be the unofficial console of choice for the upcoming highly anticipated GTA VI. Why is that exciting? PlayStation’s Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) is getting an update soon this year just before some other heavy hitter games. PSSR has been great, delivering what consoles of this generation have promised but failed to do: 4K gaming with high frame rates consistently. It’s genuinely impressive how well the AI in PSSR works to deliver outstanding detail. And this is coming from a former Xbox fanboy. The Series X didn’t excite me anymore and I felt like Sony was cooking up something good with the PS5 Pro. I’m definitely satisfied. Can’t wait for PSSR to release as it’s said to upgrade older games as well and improve further on clarity and boost frame rates. This year will be amazing for console gaming.
