Awesome console! If your son can play it all night long, than you know it is a great console.

I only play with the PSVR2 and specifically GT7. The graphical and overall experience enhancements from this title alone justifies the cost. This is subjective to my opinion and use case, the image is clearer and ghosting is mostly non existent which until I experienced the Pro, didn't realize how distracting it was. If you play GT7 and happen to also have a PSVR2, then this is a must have, I'd say even before a rig, the controller experience is top notch.

Really amazing visual and performance boost even for games not optimized like old PS4 games with stable frame rates. The only shame is that the console doesn't support a higher frame rate even it has the power to do so as it's capped at 120Hz because of industry standards/limitations in the TV market space.

I'm currently playing Baldur's Gate 3 on my PS5 Pro and it runs much smoother than it did on the PS5.

Love the PlayStation 5 functionality and controls. Excellent speed and gaming. Also use for streaming services with a less smart TV.

Price is steep but there's definitely a small improvement in performance. With the right TX, the visuals definitely are more vivid. Wish more games were enhances. GT7 is my main game and the smoother frame-rates in quality mode were worth it to me

PS5 is now the de facto place to play modern console games. PS5 Pro should be a lot better than it is, but it's still good. For the extra cost you get: a lot of ambiguity in your games about what performance and visual modes you're getting, and sometimes actually worse image quality. If you really think you can tell PSSR from FSR and upscaled 1600p vs upscaled 1400p, then great. At the end of the day, you'll honestly forget which model is sitting under your TV.

I would recommend it to anyone with a high end tv so that you can get the most out of the performance boost. On any mid-range tv you won't be able to tell the difference from a standard ps5. The new design and the extra storage are nice to have as well.

The pro version is a great upgrade just because of the speed alone. But graphics are a lot better and so much faster then the non pro version..and the fact I don’t have to upgrade the memory right away is awesome too

Love that it is giving me steady and consistent frame rates while also keeping good Fidelity in my games. Price is high which is why I took away star due to having to pay even more for a disc reader. Other than that if you have yet to get a PS5 I would go with the pro over the base.

I really like the Pro for its performance. But my biggest pro is the design. I don't do physical media so I don't need the optical drive. My biggest con is the fact that they haven't change much in the UI to make it feel like a Pro console.
