It’s a minor but appreciated upgrade in computing power and render capabilities. Games have to be designed to take advantage of the improved rendering (marked as Pro Enhanced) or otherwise there is no difference. At that price it would be nice if the disk drive was included, but it has a lot more internal storage and the drive can be added later ($80). Overall nice upgrade and easy to transfer your account and data if you’re on the same network. Probably not mandatory and certainly with subtile improvements. One of my favorites (Ratchet & Clank - Rift Apart) really gets a visual boost when choosing the Pro Fidelity mode. Improvements in other games are far less obvious.

The PS5 Pro exceeded all of my expectations. Faster loading, Faster rendering, smoother game play, and lower temps. I do wish it had a display port instead of HDMI so I could use a better cable and get better fps. But im sure that will come down the line.

The PS5 Pro is a want, not a need, lol. If you don't have a gaming PC, this is the next best thing to game on. I have a 120hz OLED TV, so the extra ~$250 (from the PS% Slim) was worth it. Even though it doesn't come with a disc drive, it does have a larger 2TB hard drive. Which, in my opinion, is fine. If you think you're going to run out of storage, you can always get a larger SSD, easily.

I like it! Wish it came with the disc drive for the cost but the performance upgrades vs the regular PS5 are definitely noticeable.

All of these reviews hating on this are wrong. The graphics upgrade is 100% worth it. It is unfortunate that it doesn't come with a disk drive. So far ive tested: lies of p, last of us part 1, demon souls and the graphics are phenomenal.

It's faster, sleeker and looks better (console and games). Still playing around with it, but like the upgrade so far. Wish it had the disc drive (and/or I could find one) and wish it was less expensive, but that's that.

The best console if purchased till date, and I think it will remain the best. Great configuration, smooth and effortless gameplay.

If you've got a 8k tv you're definitely going to enjoy the upgrade. I'm sure even with 4k the upgrade is going to give you a better picture and frames. If you've got the money and want a ps5 definitely recommend

Fidelity mode but with 60 fps. This console is a beast. Graphics look so beautiful on a 4k tv

I’m a big gamer so I have a really high end gaming pc, ps5, Xbox series x as well as a Nintendo switch oled. Obviously none of the other systems can compete with my gaming pc, but they’re also a fraction of the price. I’ve only used my ps5 pro a couple of times but so far I am very pleased with it. There aren’t a ton of games that have been optimized to take advantage of the pro yet but I’m sure over the next few months there will be a ton.

I’ve been playing video games since early chidlhood from SNES to PS1 and Xbox. Have always tried to own different gens depending on possibilities. This current gen I had both Xbox Series X and OLED switch. It was time to get PS5 Pro and get in to that nostalgia from early Ps1 games to different JRPGs which solely are on PS or pc. I had many PS4 games still which run great, was able to get FVII Remake and recently there was a batch of FVII Rebirth Deluxe Edition. Been playing Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana and other games from Ys series looks great. Also immersed myself in some wuthering waves enjoying the story and music, cinematics. So it was great decision to finally get the PS5 Pro have been enjoying every day playing it.
