I decided to get this PS5 as a gift for my partner. It was a last minute purchase and I placed it for pickup just an hour before closing (commuted from Whitfield County area). I arrived precisely when it said it was ready for pickup, which was 10 minutes before closing. Thank you to all of the kind associates who do not turn customers away ! PS5 works excellent and it made my partner jump for joy! Alway happy to carry out business with Best Buy.

PSSR2 is pretty cool. I thought people were exaggerating about how good RE9 Requiem looks but it actually looks very impressive. You have to toggle the PSSR2 setting on to get it to work. Idk why it isnt on by default. A quick reddit search will get you a picture you can match your settings to.

Huge upgrade if you care about performance. Games run smoother, visuals are cleaner, and load times are lightning fast. Paired with a good display, the PS5 Pro really shines.

I mean, I had a ps5, so this was the only step to go to once my ps5 started to die -- I got it right around the release of it... Anyway, having the 2TB is a huge game changer. Much more room and my games lag less than before, especially on games like helldivers 2 or something that uses a lot of graphics and capabilities of the pro.

Pair this with any current LG C or G series, and you have a series gaming system. I traded my day one for $400 and paid $350 for the Pro on December 20 2025. There was a promo and I’ve had some time with both systems. I think it’s worth it new at $750 or less but ideally $700 to $650 would be the sweet spot. Sales and bundled are sure to happen over holidays and sales. Otherwise good thing is a beast with PSSR2 update. PC gaming medium to high with wonderful Hdr all in one box. It’s amazing what they can push out with this new tech!

I was unsure whether I should upgrade my standard PS5 to Pro but I'm glad I did. It is faster, provides higher fps and better graphics for supported games.

The improvements from the base model are noticeable but subtle. I would not recommend it for use with a TV that is less than 4K and 65". Still, it's a fine piece of engineering and noticeably better for many games; probably it will reach its true potential later on, with improvements to PSSR and more games that take advantage of the hardware. The stand (sold separately) is badly designed, though. It fits a bit asymmetrically and the instructions don't sufficiently explain how to put it on, so it was a hassle. All in all, I am happy with it so far.

I love the PS5 Pro because it delivers the ultimate gaming experience. It pushes your TV to its absolute limits, loads games in the blink of an eye, and plays so smoothly that once you experience it, there is simply no going back!

I have owned every Playstation console since the first PS1 and I can say Sony did not disappoint with this one! Loading times are extremely fast, Graphics are excellent, and the console itself does what it's supposed to do. Just wish games were a bit cheaper but that's the way of life for electronics.

I’ve been using the PS5 Pro for a bit now, and overall it’s a solid upgrade over the base PS5, especially if you care about performance and visuals. Right away, you’ll notice smoother gameplay and sharper graphics in supported games. Titles that are optimized for the Pro look noticeably better, with higher frame rates and improved detail. Sony’s new upscaling tech (PSSR) also helps games look cleaner, especially on a 4K display. In many cases, you’re getting close to that “best of both worlds” experience—good graphics and smooth performance at the same time.

Got a great deal on Black Friday. Got this for the 4k and 120hz gaming and 4k Blu-ray disk player. So far it is a solid upgrade from my PS4. Trade-in deal was perfect and best price around.

I was on the fence about grabbing this at release, but since my original 5’s disc drive had gone out prompting me to start thinking about getting a slim replacement and the drive, I ended up grabbing it and reserving judgement on it till I had played on it for a bit. After using for the last 8 months daily I can say without reservation that extra money spent does not go to waste particularly if you truly enjoy the higher frame rate and graphical performance that the money goes toward. I have enjoyed the performance boosts I’ve noticed in games like Spider-Man, Hogwarts Legacy, Space Marine 2 was much better performing than what I saw on the base current gen console and version of game. This is not to mention the boosts that ps4 games I still play exhibit, though with them the base ps5 may improve upon them enough in itself. My suggestion is that if you have a well functioning base model hold off, but if you are looking to get one for the first time or replace your original, then the pro at the added cost is well worth the additional investment. I say all this without even factoring in the size of the SSD, which after adding 2 TBs, and connecting 1 more TB of external SSD I now have my entire library of games from the ps4 on at my disposal. The internal SSD nearly justifies the additional cost itself when you consider how much buying an SSD to add costs. Anyway buy with confidence, it’s a solid machine!

I own both a standard model PS5 as well as the Pro version. The PS5 Pro does offer many enhancements to both speed. framerate, and enhanced vusuals. I use an LG C5 display and the 120Hz refresh really makes my gaming experience shine using the Pro. Highly recommend!

Awesome console! Ps5 pro enhanced games are breathtaking. Very high speeds and fast download times. 2TB storage is great. Just wish it came with the disk drive and a stand for the price point.

4k 120hz steady for GT7! Nice upgrade from normal ps5. Should come with a better stand but that's my only complaint.

A good, mid-cycle Quality of life update for Playstation users. I enjoy playing the extensive Playstation catalogue in high fidelity with smooth performance. that extra TB of space is also a welcome addition. The price maybe a lot to swallow but it is well worth the money.
