Purchased the PS5 Pro online. Received it fairly quickly. Received it wrapped in a black bag and taped. Box was damaged from shipping. I didnt even bother to open it. I took it to a best buy store to return it and get another one in person but they wouldnt accept it telling me online orders need to be returned online. The black bag was ripped by the store employee to scan the PS5, then found out the sytem wasnt sealed, it was already opened. So now i have to repackage it and drop off to a UPS store. So much hassle for an item poorly packed and damaged.

Don’t buy your console from Best Buy. They will ship it in a box so small there is no room for bubble wrap or padding. Box came damaged. For a $700 console I’m livid right now.

The PS5 Pro is a total game-changer for anyone who wants the best visuals. The AI-driven PSSR upscaling makes 4K games look incredibly sharp while maintaining a smooth 60fps or higher, and the 2TB of storage is a huge relief for a large game library. It's noticeably faster and the advanced ray tracing adds a level of realism to lighting and reflections that you just can't get on the standard model.

The people rating this PS5 pro 1 stars are either self entitled fanboys or just plain ignorant consumers. The PS5 Pro is for enthusiasts, not your average gamer. The extra power in the Pro, along with the PSSR technology, makes most games play & look even better. Being able to play games like Dying Light 2 in 4k 120 VRR mode, when the game plays at 1080p 60 on the base PS5, is an absolute game changer. Spiderman 2 pops like never before & HZD remaster is probably the best-looking game ever made on console. This thing has wifi 7, so it makes it future proof as well! It comes with a 2 TB internal drive & has a smaller footprint than the base PS5. The technology in this Pro would easily cost $1200 or or more if u were buying a PC. Dont listen to the people saying, "Just get a PC." Playstation gamers dont need PCs when they have the PS5 pro. All in all, this is well worth the money, but it is definitely more geared towards the hardcore enthusiasts in the PS ecosystem.

PS5 Pro Review: A Next-Gen Gaming Marvel The PlayStation 5 Pro is a remarkable leap forward in gaming technology, and as an avid gamer, I am thrilled to share my experience with this powerhouse console. After spending countless hours exploring its capabilities, I can confidently say that the PS5 Pro delivers on all fronts, setting a new standard in the gaming world. Stunning Graphics One of the standout features of the PS5 Pro is its breathtaking graphics. Equipped with advanced ray tracing and 4K resolution capabilities, the visual fidelity is second to none. Games come to life with stunning realism, vibrant colors, and intricate details that draw you into each virtual world. Whether I'm navigating the lush landscapes of an open-world RPG or engaging in high-octane racing, the graphics are consistently jaw-dropping, providing an immersive experience that truly elevates gaming. Lightning-Fast Load Times Another aspect where the PS5 Pro shines is its incredible load times. Thanks to the state-of-the-art SSD, loading screens are virtually a thing of the past. Booting up games is almost instantaneous, allowing for seamless transitions that keep the momentum going. This speed not only enhances gameplay but also significantly reduces downtime, making the gaming experience smoother and more enjoyable. Sleeker Design In addition to its technical prowess, the PS5 Pro also impresses with its sleek, slimmed-down hardware design. The console is more compact and stylish than its predecessor, fitting effortlessly into any entertainment setup. The PS5 Pro is an incredible upgrade. The performance boost is instantly noticeable — games load lightning-fast, the graphics are sharper and smoother, and the frame rates are rock-solid even on the most demanding titles. The new cooling system keeps everything whisper-quiet, and the console runs super stable even after long sessions. I’ve also noticed that 4K gaming looks much crisper with improved ray tracing and HDR support, making everything feel more lifelike. Whether you’re playing shooters, sports, or open-world adventures, it’s just an awesome experience. Overall, I’d definitely recommend the PS5 Pro to anyone who wants the best possible PlayStation experience. It’s powerful, reliable, and totally worth the investment.

The PS5 Pro does exactly what it advertises to do - it plays the same games but better. How much is that worth to you? I think most people would say "not $700 plus tax plus a disc drive". That's fair. But for people who live and breathe gaming like me, it's worth every penny to have the best experience possible. If your biggest and most important hobby is gaming then this console is for you. Games that don't advertise pro patches can be surprisingly better for one reason - unlocked frame rates lock into a good fps. I've played Trails through Daybreak, the most random title, and it had fps drops. I thought there would be no difference at all, but it was noticeably locked to 60fps on the pro. Ditto for Metaphor Refantazio, or I hear, for Elden Ring. Alan Wake 2 with Ray tracing is so good that I can't even imagine playing it without. Your flashlight, which is ever present for the entire game, casting light and shadows without Ray tracing would be sad in comparison. There is a caveat about shimmering in this game - it can be noticable. But I feel the gains outweigh the shimmering. Which you can reduce by turning motion blur off. The extra storage is also a neat little bonus. I think most people that needed it already expanded their PS5, but if you were holding out then it's a good bonus. All in all, there's a lot of games I want to play that have a pro patch. And many games out there with unstable frame rates. I'm looking forward to Star Wars Outlaws, Silent Hill 2, immediately. If you game on PS5 and it's your life, this is the way to have the best experience possible.

    PS5 Pro Digital Edition Review

Using the PS5 Pro has been a noticeably improved experience compared to the regular PS5 I owned. One of the first things I appreciated was the larger storage capacity. Having more built-in storage means I don’t have to constantly delete games to make room for new ones, which is a huge quality-of-life upgrade. I can keep multiple large titles installed at the same time without worrying about space. The graphics performance is another standout feature. Games look sharper, more detailed, and smoother overall. Lighting, textures, and frame rates feel more consistent, especially in graphically demanding games. The visual upgrade makes gameplay more immersive and noticeably enhances both single-player and multiplayer experiences. I also really like the faster loading times. Games boot up quickly and switching between menus feels seamless. This makes a big difference in how fluid the gaming experience feels and keeps me focused on playing rather than waiting. Lastly, the profile system is clean and easy to use. Managing my account, tracking trophies, and switching between users feels intuitive. Everything is well organized, and it’s easy to personalize my profile and access game data. Overall, my experience with the PS5 Pro has been very positive. The improved storage, graphics, speed, and user profile features all combine to create a smoother and more enjoyable gaming experience. It feels like a premium console that delivers meaningful upgrades where they matter most.

A fantastic console, with a couple downsides

My opinion? A monster of a console and great performance for the price, HOWEVER, it may not be for everyone! Keep in mind, I upgraded from a PS4 Pro, not a PS5, so I can’t comment on the difference between the two. To give some background, I had originally intended to purchase a base PS5 but decided to wait once I heard that this was coming out. I’m also playing this on a 77-inch OLED, so I wanted to make sure that whatever I bought next made the most out of the display. Long story short, I’m glad I decided to purchase this instead. The graphics are gorgeous, and the load times are short. The new interface did take some time getting used to, but it’s not difficult once you get used to it. Obviously, it’s a big upgrade from the PS4 Pro, as one would expect. It’s definitely a larger console though, so keep that in mind if space is tight. When it comes to gripes about performance or display, I really have none. I’m currently playing Resident Evil 8 on it, and it looks fantastic! As an added perk, basically all the PS4 games I own (except the VR ones) are compatible, so I can go back and enjoy them if I want without having to switch consoles! Even better, many of them come with either a free or a very cheap upgrade to the PS5 version so long as you have the discs, which I do. I now have PS5 versions of Horizon Zero Dawn and Ghost of Tsushima for free thanks to this! Now, to address the one MAJOR con: as others have stated, there is no disc drive. I’m well aware this is not just a Sony thing, and most companies/studios are trying to phase out physical media altogether (yay corporate greed!). I refuse to be roped into digital-only, so I was willing to shell out the extra money to buy a disc drive, however many people may not be, especially when the base price is already so expensive. However, like I said, the upside was that purchasing the disc drive gave me access to several free PS5 upgrades. If you don’t care about having games on physical, then it’s not a big deal. The other minor downside is that 1TB may not be enough considering how huge games are now. In summation, I would say if you are upgrading from a PS4, have a display that will make the most of the hardware, and if the high price doesn’t deter you, then YES, this console is absolutely worth it. If you already have a PS5, then weigh your options and decide whether the upgrade is really worth it, especially considering the lack of a disc drive.

The PlayStation 5 Pro elevates gaming with enhanced performance and graphical fidelity, offering up to 45% better performance than the standard PS5. Featuring 2TB of storage, advanced ray tracing, and AI-driven PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) for near-native 4K visuals, it caters to gamers seeking top-tier experiences. Compact and stylish, it lacks a built-in disc drive, requiring an external one for physical games. Priced at $699, it’s a premium choice best suited for enthusiasts. While casual gamers may find the upgrades less essential, the PS5 Pro stands out as a strong alternative to high-end gaming PCs.

The Playstation 5 Pro is the best version of the PS5 and a substantial upgrade from the PS4. The user interface is exceptional and the standard storage capacity is more sufficient to start your gaming journey. The controller is smoother to play with than the PS4 as well. Very happy with the purchase. Will likely upgrade my TV to one that supports 120hz to take full advantage of the console in the near future.

    PlayStation 5 Pro — A Worthy Upgrade

After spending quality time with the PS5 Pro, I can confidently say this machine is a serious step up — especially if you have the right setup to take advantage of it. Paired with an OLED TV, the visual experience is nothing short of stunning. Games look absolutely phenomenal, with the console’s enhanced hardware pushing image quality to levels the base PS5 simply can’t match. What really impressed me was Sony’s PSSR upscaling technology — even going back to older titles, the graphical and performance improvements are genuinely noticeable. It breathes new life into games you’ve already played. The extra storage is a game-changer. One of my biggest frustrations with the base PS5 was constantly having to uninstall games just to make room for new ones. That juggling act is essentially gone with the Pro, and it’s a quality-of-life improvement I didn’t realize I needed so badly until now. I’d also like to address the noise complaints floating around online — at least in a living room environment, this console runs whisper quiet. I genuinely cannot hear it during gameplay, so that concern hasn’t been an issue for me at all. The one drawback worth mentioning is the lack of a disc drive. It’s a bit of a shame for a premium-priced console, but given that my library has shifted almost entirely to digital at this point, it hasn’t impacted my experience in any meaningful way. Just something to keep in mind if you still have a large physical collection. Overall, the PS5 Pro delivers on its promises. If you’re a dedicated PlayStation gamer with a high-quality display, this upgrade is absolutely worth it.

Excellent system. Worth the price you pay for the extra features. Down side is not having a disk drive but that isn’t an issue for me. System also doesn’t come with a stand (sold separately) but it does stand on its own. System makes almost no noise. You can lay the system down after inserting the two pieces it comes with. Performance wise, this is the best for console. Would highly recommend!
