I upgraded from the standard PS5 to the PS5 Pro, and after using it on a high-end 4K 120Hz TV with HDMI 2.1, VRR, and strong HDR performance, I can finally see what this console is capable of. Enhanced games look noticeably sharper while still running smoothly. Fine details are clearer, image quality holds up better during movement, and performance modes no longer feel like as much of a visual compromise. The improvements are especially noticeable in larger games with detailed environments, reflections, lighting, and higher frame-rate options. The display you use matters a lot. On an older or basic 4K television, the differences may seem smaller and the price will be harder to justify. When paired with a quality 120Hz television that supports VRR and HDR, the PS5 Pro becomes a much more impressive upgrade. I would recommend it most to frequent PlayStation players who already own a capable television and care about getting the best combination of graphics and performance. Casual players or anyone using an older display will probably be satisfied with the standard PS5. It is expensive, but with the right setup, I am extremely happy with the purchase.

Everything is great about the performance and 2tb of storage. This loses one star for a disc drive not being included. You can buy one separately but this is the most expensive console right now and it should include a disc drive. You only should buy this console if standard ps5 performance is unsatisfactory for you.

Modest upgrade over the base PS5 but the extra storage capacity is a huge plus. It’s also incredibly easy to add your own storage. Slightly smaller so it fits better on my entertainment center than the base model. Games will get 120 fps if you have a monitor that supports it.

The Playstation 5 Pro is the best version of the PS5 and a substantial upgrade from the PS4. The user interface is exceptional and the standard storage capacity is more sufficient to start your gaming journey. The controller is smoother to play with than the PS4 as well. If you only have a digital game library, the Pro has 1 TB more of SSD storage compared to the base PS5. Typically, 1 TB of expansion storage costs about $100-$110 so that is one reason the system sells for $699.99. By comparison, a slim PS5 digital costs $449.99 but has 1TB of storage. If you need a disc drive to play games you own on PS5 or want to use your PS5 as a Blu-ray DVD player (does not play music CDs), you will have to buy a $79.99 external drive (raising the price to $779.98). Overall, it is a bit of a steep asking price for a console, but it absolutely is a much bigger upgrade compared to the one observed with PS4 Pro. Thus far, games like Horizon Forbidden West, Assassins Creed Shadows, Space Marine 2, Gran Turismo 7, Jedi Survivor, and Star Wars:Outlaws have seen significant improvements on Pro. Had a PS5 normal. Got this and I do see a big difference + the extra storage is great. One con is that the disc drive is missing so need to get one separately, but wasnt much of a bother with the discount and the trade in price for PS5.

I love the speed of this machine It is by far the best when they have come out with. The Game experience overall is 10 out of 10 highly recommend. The extra storage is amazing so you can download a lot more games and I have to worry about an external hard drive right away.

While this may not be everyone, if you have a decent enough tv I would highly recommend it. Being able to have more steady or increased frame rates, along with the upgraded PSSR makes many games run and look much smoother. Unfortunately the price increase that occurred after my purchase does make this a harder pill to swallow. Overall I am quite pleased with this purchase.

This is a great buy. I’ve had a lot of fun hours on this device. I haven’t had any issues. It runs really smoothly came with a 2 TB hard drive. It runs battlefield six very well. I would recommend both.
