I got it during the holiday sale in December. So far, it's been great, games look really good and I'm surprised how quiet it is.

I'm very happy with it got it as a open box so I didn't have to pay full price after Sony price hiked the PS5 pros. But works perfectly and I like the storage being much higher than the original launch PS5

I love it. I had the original PS5 and this upgrade was well worth it. The upgrade in graphics and storage. Definitely worth it.

The PS5 Pro is a game-changer! The 67% more powerful GPU is no joke—everything looks crisper and runs faster. PSSR technology is a massive step forward for console gaming. It's sleek, powerful, and absolutely the premium experience I was waiting for!

If You Haven’t Bought a PS5 Yet, Get the Pro

If you haven’t bought a PS5 yet, I’d honestly recommend spending the little extra and going straight for the Pro. The performance boost is noticeable, especially if you have a newer TV, and it just feels more future-proof for the next few years of games. Load times are great, gameplay is smooth, and everything feels a bit more polished overall. It’s not a "must upgrade" if you already own a PS5, but for first-time buyers this is easily the best way to jump into the PlayStation ecosystem without wondering later if you should’ve waited. No regrets here!

Good console -- still overpriced for what you get.

I haven't found any drawbacks yet -- still agree with most that the disc drive should have been included on this console -- 99% of my library is on physical media so this was the biggest negative for me -- I have to have it so now I have a roaring loud behemoth on the side of my console compared to my original PS5 which could spin discs whisper silent -- most of the time you wouldnt even know when it was. The only thing that made the purchase worth it was trading in one of my old consoles to lower the price on top of the holiday sale. Thanks for that at least Best Buy

The ps5 pro is a beast, I have not had any issues running any games on this. Adding a SSD is a must in my opinion, once adding 4TB I now have 6 TB total

As someone who wasn't the biggest fan of this console generation, the PS5 Pro excited me. I felt "Finally, a true console worth of the "next-gen" promise...and then I played games with it. Outside of the design, which, lacks a disc drive, and doesn't come with a stand, this is largely a PS5. Sure, the internals are a little different, but you set it up the same, you launch your games the same...the difference is in how the games play and let me tell you...there's a difference, just not the difference I was looking for. The original selling point was no longer choosing between performance and graphic quality...but I feel like with the PS5 Pro there are even more choices. Developers have used the power of the PS5 pro, and PSSR, Playstations Ai upscaling method, to find new ways to get you to play 30 fps...and it doesn't look good enough to justify the 30 fps. ..and it's not a stable 30 FPS!! This is what we pay MORE for, sans a 4k Blu-ray drive? Moving past the console itself, I noticed when I purchased it, certain PS5 Pro-enhanced games now found themselves back up to full price. Sure...that's not the console's fault...but that is apart of the experience of getting the console, and it wasn't a good experience. No one piece of software screamed "THIS is why you bought a PS5 Pro!" and I get it, you can't necessarily develop a game specifically for the PS5 Pro, it's not the base model, it's not the top seller, it's a mid-gen upgrade for a small percentage of the overall user base...but if there's no software to justify the console, there's definitely no justification for a price increase with missing features (the disc drive). Last gen I purchased both mid-gen consoles and was satisfied with both of the purchases. This gen I'm reminded that I have a PC, and with the increased cost of game production, eventually all these games will have to land on PC where developers can truly push things to another space. Maybe going forward games are made with the PS5 Pro in mind, developers getting a better understanding o the benefits of PSSR, but right now? This ain't it.

The PS5 Pro makes sense if: you play a lot of graphics-heavy single-player games, you care about image quality, you already own a premium TV/monitor, or you skipped the original PS5 entirely.

The pro is definitely better, but must have the correct TV to maximize the Consoles capabilities. The console does not seem to work as hard even when I am using games on disc. The styling is nice is, is a little bigger than the PS5 slim model but smaller than the launch model. If you have a disc drive attached you do not necessarily need the stand, but I have one and prefer that because of the rubber feet. I am very happy with the console besides the price, but you have to pay to play.

I bought this as an upgrade from my normal ps5. I’ve noticed the upgrade as someone who also plays in a PC. 60fps @4k is nice as well as PSSR which has made some good improvements. There’s even performance and visual enhancements for older titles predominantly ps4 titles. I would say it’s a good upgrade if you have the money but not a necessity as the original ps5 still run just fine.

I love it! Definitely an improvement from the original. Also like the fact that it comes with 2 tb of internal storage. The design in my opinion is an improvement as well. The only downside for me was having to purchase the disc drive separately. For as much as it costs I feel like it should have been included. All in all I recommend it if you can afford the premium price.

Noticeable difference from the base ps5 on games like COD, R6, battlefield, and GOW. Is it worth ? If youre a parent, military, or someone with a job it’s not that big of a difference. Good upgrade if you got the money.

Turned in my PS5 for the PS5 Pro. Yeah, the onboard 2TB is really awesome, but so is GoW Ragnarök and The Last of us @ running at 60FPS. If money is not a worry, I'd advise anyone to jump in. Loads of AAA games coming between now and the next update cycle that will mostly all by Pro Enhanced. Lovin' it. BestBuy is awesome too. My pre-order had a broken seal when I went to pick it up and one of the staff found one with the seal intact.

The PlayStation 5 Pro is seriously impressive. Games look incredible in 4K and run super smooth, even the more demanding ones. Load times are almost nonexistent, and the graphics upgrade is easy to notice. The DualSense controller still feels amazing with the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Overall, it’s been an awesome upgrade and a great experience so far.

My rating might be scewed as I got mine before the major price hikes with an amazing trade in deal for my gen 1 PS5/disc. Best buy got me with the deal, it was too good to pass up especially with GTA 6 on the horizon >.<
