I purchased a playstation 5 brand new from the 125 nw loop best buy location in san antonio texas on sunday 5/12. When i got home to open the item, the ps5 was broken. The cover was broken, with black smudges. when i went to return the ps5 the very next day 5/13 best buy refused to accept the refund because "the serial number console didnt match the box." regardless of the reason why they wouldnt accept my return, it was the very next day and they still denied me. If they think i am lying and switched out consoles, why would i purchase a protection plan, gaes, and an extra controller. I was completely scammed from best buy given a broken console. I am completely heartbroken an i do not know what to do. I returned the ps5 in the mail to bset buy and now i must wait 20 days for further notice. I pray to god i get a full refund or free exchange because this is completely unprofessional from best buy. worst experience ever. I will be canceling my credit card with best buy.

In my opinion this is a major step up from the one at launch even though i had a chance to get the pro i went with the slim because of the space in my room and the slim fits perfectly in any area you can think of. Performance wise its great i havent had any issues im able to play my cloud games better than the original standard console but streaming certain games on here are a bit slow with processing the storage. Now the biggest concern for me heading into this is just the overall cooling. With the standard it could get hot very quickly. With the slim it can heat very quickly but not over heating. My piece of advice when comes to cooling of this console is to make sure you have it in cool spacious environment where it doesnt pick up does, like this console once it hot its like a space heater like my goodness. But overall i honestly do like this console. I would highly recommend because of its versatility

One thing to note is the fan noise. If the console doesn’t have good ventilation around the panel vents, it can get pretty loud. I ended up moving mine to a better-ventilated spot so it wouldn’t overheat. I also bought it before the $100 price increase, so the value felt even better at the time. Game selection will always depend on personal taste, but I’ve enjoyed the titles I’ve played so far and hope others can find games they enjoy as well. Just be aware that some games take up a lot of storage (looking at you, Call of Duty). If you plan to play a lot of big AAA titles, you might eventually want to invest in extra storage with a few terabytes of space.

Upgraded to this from the Xbox One and it's the craziest difference in performance, speed, and graphics. Controller is amazing too with the haptic feedback in the triggers. The slim model is also nice because its not as bulky as the original PS5
