He plays for a few hours at a time and we've never had over heating issues or anything. I took a star off for the controllers. At $60 plus they should last longer. Unfortunately you're lucky if you get a year out of them without experiencing the dreaded stick drift. They also aren't built sturdy. If you drop them one time that might be the end. Maybe it's just a money grab?
