Other than missing the original external thin blue color box, the “open box - excellent” is no different than a brand new one. I waited too long, for less than two weeks the original slim digital version were sold out everywhere. When I was so desperate for not being able to get the last unit at my local Best Buy, I found an open box unit was popping up in a store 40 miles away. I didn’t wait this time and placed order online and drove 50 minutes to get the console. This is not my first PS5, I still have my standard fat disc version in addition to a PS5 Pro, but I just want to have a slim version that I can carry around and won’t feel too concerned to take with me during a long trip. I was thinking of getting a slim for travel for a long time, but it all changed when Sony increased PS5 price earlier this year, later Sony decided to downgrade the storage from 1TB back to 825GB on the slim digital version. Before Thanksgiving, only Best Buy still carried a good inventory of the original 1TB slim digital version, everywhere else started to bring in the updated downgrade version. After reviewing a video regarding tear down the new slim digital version, I realized the new slim version not only downsized storage, but also using cheaper materials. That’s why I insisted to get the old slim digital version.

I personally love the playstation 5 slim, it's sleek and very aesthetically pleasing to the eye, everything was packaged very well. Chef Kiss! I love gaming and watching TV on the high quality resolution and graphics.

What can't the PS5 do?!?!?! Amazing console for all ages. It does not take that much space and because this is the digital edition, no disc required. Very reliable, runs games at an amazing speed. It comes with 500 gb, which is enough to download many games from their online store. It comes with one controller, and when you start up your console for the first time, it gives you a tutorial of what your controller can do, and with the dual sense features, it allows you to experience gaming in a whole different level. Would recommend anyone who is looking for a console to get this one.

I bought the PS5 Slim from Best Buy and I’m really happy with it. The design is clean and it doesn’t take up much space. It runs super smooth and games load fast. The graphics look amazing and it’s pretty quiet while playing. Setup was easy and everything worked right away. Overall, great purchase and I’d definitely recommend it.

Purchased this as a birthday gift for my son. He's completely immersed with his PS5. The graphics, options, and all enhancements overall definitely set this console apart! So far, the console is operating smoothly. I've read about overheating issues but even with as much as my son uses it, there's been no issues with this ps5.

I’ve had my PS5 for a couple of days now, and I’m already blown away by how much it’s changed my gaming experience. Boot-up times are ridiculously fast thanks to the SSD — I’m in the game within seconds instead of waiting forever. Load screens feel like a thing of the past, especially in open-world games like Horizon Forbidden West and Spider-Man.

I upgraded to a PS5 from a PS4. Best choice ever! I was having serious storage issues with my PS4, and newer games were coming out that i couldnt play on my PS4. I have downloaded several games that are fairly large, and i still have so much storage left over. The speed difference of the 5 compared to the 4 is insane. The 5 is also super quiet, and doesnt sound like an airplane; nor does it overheat like my 4. Upgrading was the best choice i've made!

If you wanted to build a pc tower that could play high level games at 4k and 120fps you’d be staring $1000 in the face. This thing is basically a tower pc at the fraction of the price. I like the size and portability of the slim edition. I don’t miss the disc drive, I have plenty of space for game and if I want I can easily add another 2 tb of storage, has a slot already there for it. My only grip is that it no longer comes with the vertical stand. The original version came with it, now we have too spend an extra $30 bucks for it. Sony should’ve found a way to include it in the original packaging for the slim. Even if that meant raising it’s price by $20.

I chose the all-digital model—just like my last Xbox—for the unbeatable price and the convenience of a scratch-free, disc-less library.
