I recently purchased a PlayStation 5, and overall I’m really impressed with the experience. The console is fast, responsive, and delivers stunning graphics that make games feel incredibly immersive. Load times are noticeably shorter compared to previous systems, which makes a big difference when jumping between games.

I’ve had this PlayStation 5 Slim now for approximately a month and I’m very satisfied with the quality overall. I’ve never owned a PlayStation in my life and for the past couple years, I’ve been very curious to try one out (I’ve always had Xbox and Nintendo). This is technically my second PlayStation I purchased, the first one I bought from Best Buy back in December 2023 and unfortunately it had technical issues so I had to get another one. Normally, with this being my first experience with a product, I would just give up if something broke on me that quick. I know however, that PlayStation has a great ecosystem of video games and I didn’t want one bad system experience to deter me from enjoying PlayStation altogether. So far this PlayStation I have is holding up great and I’m very happy about that. The first thing I noticed after getting everything set up was how amazing the dual sense controller is. When you’ve been playing on an Xbox controller since 2003 for the most part, it’s quite the experience going to something different like a PlayStation controller, especially with all the features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. That in itself is almost worth buying a PlayStation because of how a lot of games take advantage of these features. Additionally, once you get the system set up, you HAVE TO PLAY Astros Playroom that comes included with the PlayStation. This game will help familiarize you with your new system and the controller and all it’s features. In my opinion, this is a gold mine for PlayStation and I hope to see they do more with Astros Playroom in the future. I also recommend at the very least getting external/additional storage as games now are getting quite large and you really only get approximately 800 GB after all the updates out of the box. Getting an additional controller and a charging station is also essential. The battery life on these controllers are not the worst but also not as good as Xbox controllers with batteries from what I’ve noticed and it’s always good having an extra one on standby so you never have to take a break from gaming if your controller needs to charge. The official PlayStation charging stations are relatively inexpensive and it’s something you should get if you plan to use your PlayStation for any meaningful amount of time. You will also want to subscribe to PlayStation online service (PS+) if you plan to play any games online or record anything. There’s different tiers depending on what you need for your subscription, but a my opinion, it’s essential if you want to get the full experience out of your PlayStation.

Console gaming is the way to go. I spent 550 on this, it came with a year of service and that service offers *free access to more games than I will ever have time to play. I don't require expensive peripherals to play games, and I don't have to navigate windows. I'm just hit the PS button and I'm in game, match made, pwning noobs in 20 seconds flat. Meanwhile... windows updated, kicked you off the Internet, you can't log in because you're not a local account, you can't get online because you're not logged in. Your new $2000 PC is bricked until you get your mac address white listed with your ISP. And you had to Google how to get that info through command prompt from your phone. And the best answer most of Google has is "sorry kid, it's windows, just get online". Then you start downloading your first game but it resets every time it goes into sleep mode so you spent an entire day not downloading anything until you have to turn off sleep mode, but right click>personalize doesn't work because it's a laptop and that controls sleep mode so you have to go into those proprietary setting.... You know what... Why am I writing this and not playing my ps5? Later guys.

I upgraded to a PS5 from a PS4. Best choice ever! I was having serious storage issues with my PS4, and newer games were coming out that i couldnt play on my PS4. I have downloaded several games that are fairly large, and i still have so much storage left over. The speed difference of the 5 compared to the 4 is insane. The 5 is also super quiet, and doesnt sound like an airplane; nor does it overheat like my 4. Upgrading was the best choice i've made!

My husband was diagnosed with cancer, and he was receiving chemo twice a week. Eventually he had to take a leave of absence from work, and this has been a great emotional support for him. He is currently in remission, and is getting back to his self. He has not went back to work as of yet, due to ongoing physical therapy, however, this console is very easy to understand and use. My husband was able to use this device with ease, and connect with our son who lived 900 miles away. I highly recommend buying this console!

I love my PS5! The graphics look amazing and games load super fast. The controller is the best part because it makes everything feel more real when you play. The only thing I don’t like is how big the console is and that the storage fills up quickly. Other than that, it’s been awesome to use.

I've always been a Nintendo or Xbox guy but when a friend persuaded me to get a PS5 I thought I was wasting my money. But to my surprise, when I got it and started playing games I haven't touched my Xbox or Nintendo systems since. I am IN LOVE with the PS5. The graphics are amazing. I love having the the PS Plus subscription so I can play any game any time. I don't have to download anything, I can play on the cloud and not worry about taking up memory space. It's incredible. And while I love my Xbox I will forever continue to play this PS5!
