I decided I needed to upgrade from my PS4 so I purchased this as a Christmas gift to myself. The PS5 is better than the PS4 due to massive hardware upgrades, delivering near-instant load times, stunning 4K graphics with ray tracing, higher frame rates (60-120fps), and the immersive DualSense controller with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, while the PS4 offers affordability and a vast game library at slower performance, though PS5 also plays PS4 games with enhancements.

If you wanted to build a pc tower that could play high level games at 4k and 120fps you’d be staring $1000 in the face. This thing is basically a tower pc at the fraction of the price. I like the size and portability of the slim edition. I don’t miss the disc drive, I have plenty of space for game and if I want I can easily add another 2 tb of storage, has a slot already there for it. My only grip is that it no longer comes with the vertical stand. The original version came with it, now we have too spend an extra $30 bucks for it. Sony should’ve found a way to include it in the original packaging for the slim. Even if that meant raising it’s price by $20.

What can't the PS5 do?!?!?! Amazing console for all ages. It does not take that much space and because this is the digital edition, no disc required. Very reliable, runs games at an amazing speed. It comes with 500 gb, which is enough to download many games from their online store. It comes with one controller, and when you start up your console for the first time, it gives you a tutorial of what your controller can do, and with the dual sense features, it allows you to experience gaming in a whole different level. Would recommend anyone who is looking for a console to get this one.

In love and couldn’t get any better ! Runs smooth, completely quiet, and the loading for any game is incredible. It’s a Ferrari compared to the ps4 . The controllers could use a little bit longer battery life at a full charge , but it’s not terrible !

I love my PS5! The graphics look amazing and games load super fast. The controller is the best part because it makes everything feel more real when you play. The only thing I don’t like is how big the console is and that the storage fills up quickly. Other than that, it’s been awesome to use.

I really like the slim compact look and design! I feel like it's definitely an improvement over the original model! I'm much happier with the digital version than the disk version!

I upgraded to a PS5 from a PS4. Best choice ever! I was having serious storage issues with my PS4, and newer games were coming out that i couldnt play on my PS4. I have downloaded several games that are fairly large, and i still have so much storage left over. The speed difference of the 5 compared to the 4 is insane. The 5 is also super quiet, and doesnt sound like an airplane; nor does it overheat like my 4. Upgrading was the best choice i've made!

I’d owned a PlayStation 5 several years ago for a short time before selling it to a friend - I just wasn’t playing video games much at the time and figured my friend would get much more use out of it than me. Recently I’d seen this console was on sale and with it already being significantly cheaper than the original model I’d bought years ago (nearly $300 cheaper), I figured I’d give it a go again. With the alternative being to drop a few thousand dollars on a gaming PC to play the same games available on PlayStation, it’s safe to say I love this thing. I play games pretty frequently on it by myself and locally with friends, and I use it for movies and shows. I do not regret buying it this time around and get a significant amount of use on it that I think justifies the price, especially when it’s on sale. Get one!

Purchased this as a birthday gift for my son. He's completely immersed with his PS5. The graphics, options, and all enhancements overall definitely set this console apart! So far, the console is operating smoothly. I've read about overheating issues but even with as much as my son uses it, there's been no issues with this ps5.

Came from a PS5 slim and i really do see a difference in the quality in games, the load times are faster and the fans are barely there which is nice because no noise. Definitely worth it and would recommend even if you aren’t a daily gamer.

The design is ver slick and clean. My son is very pleased with his console. He feels like the storage could be more due to some games such as call of duty that takes up about 256 GB

I’ve had this PlayStation 5 Slim now for approximately a month and I’m very satisfied with the quality overall. I’ve never owned a PlayStation in my life and for the past couple years, I’ve been very curious to try one out (I’ve always had Xbox and Nintendo). This is technically my second PlayStation I purchased, the first one I bought from Best Buy back in December 2023 and unfortunately it had technical issues so I had to get another one. Normally, with this being my first experience with a product, I would just give up if something broke on me that quick. I know however, that PlayStation has a great ecosystem of video games and I didn’t want one bad system experience to deter me from enjoying PlayStation altogether. So far this PlayStation I have is holding up great and I’m very happy about that. The first thing I noticed after getting everything set up was how amazing the dual sense controller is. When you’ve been playing on an Xbox controller since 2003 for the most part, it’s quite the experience going to something different like a PlayStation controller, especially with all the features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. That in itself is almost worth buying a PlayStation because of how a lot of games take advantage of these features. Additionally, once you get the system set up, you HAVE TO PLAY Astros Playroom that comes included with the PlayStation. This game will help familiarize you with your new system and the controller and all it’s features. In my opinion, this is a gold mine for PlayStation and I hope to see they do more with Astros Playroom in the future. I also recommend at the very least getting external/additional storage as games now are getting quite large and you really only get approximately 800 GB after all the updates out of the box. Getting an additional controller and a charging station is also essential. The battery life on these controllers are not the worst but also not as good as Xbox controllers with batteries from what I’ve noticed and it’s always good having an extra one on standby so you never have to take a break from gaming if your controller needs to charge. The official PlayStation charging stations are relatively inexpensive and it’s something you should get if you plan to use your PlayStation for any meaningful amount of time. You will also want to subscribe to PlayStation online service (PS+) if you plan to play any games online or record anything. There’s different tiers depending on what you need for your subscription, but a my opinion, it’s essential if you want to get the full experience out of your PlayStation.
